"Doc"

Doc is Jacksonvilleon's local inventor. She's not mad... just a bit goofy. She creates all sorts of fun stuff like time travelling devices, cool robots, and a virtual reality fighting ring. She's not too good at naming her inventions. Most of the names to her inventions have the word "thingee" in it. For example, her floating camera device that allows you to take pictures of yourself without anybody around is called the "Floating Camera Thingee". Doc is a member of the SFIU (Secret Federal Inventor's Union). The government provides her with enough money to invent and experiment and in exchange the government obtains the rights to the inventions. The government usually holds back at least ten years to release any of them... when the public is "ready". Doc is a widow and loved her husband so much that she refuses to marry again. She does get lonely, so she tries to invite a lot of people around. That's one of the resaons she hired Zed as an assistant and why she has no qualms about her niece Steph living in her home. Since she was married such a short time, she never had any children. This has led her to do extensive experiments on artificial intelligence.
