Hikaru is a little on the short side, but she's a very strong person. In the manga, Umi and Fuu were shocked to find out Hikaru's age. She is the first Magic Knight to learn, and use, her magic but she is the last to awaken a spirit, Rayearth. She proves her worthiness of him by fighting against LaFarga and protecting the defeated Umi and Fuu at all costs. She has a big heart and believes in everyone. She is an endearing person. She can understand the fish and bird Guru Clef sends to help them and Mokona as well. Early on in the manga she begins to demonstrate her strengths! Her training in Kendo allows her to use her sword so well in Cephiro while searching for Escudo!
