Umi is by far the boldest of the 3 knights. She may sometimes sound rude and uncaring, but deep inside, she cares deeply. She's the tallest knight as well! She doesn't get along very well with Guru Clef, or Mokona, but that just makes you want to laugh! When Hikaru is fighting Alcoine, Umi learns her magic by confronting Mokona, and despite heavy injuries, casts a spell to save her friend! In turn, her injuries and bravery, prompt Fuu to learn her first bit of magic, Healing Wind. A very impressive start! :) Her fencing in school allows her to use her first weapon, a sword, in Cephiro well. She earns her Machin in her confrontation with Ascot. She shows her kind heart, by befriending Ascot instead of killing him and his monsters.
