Futaba High School
On the left is the front of Futaba. You can see the English office window on the first floor, furthest to the right. In the center is the school seal and a big rock sign. The statue on the right is one of the artistic touches found at Futaba. This building is on it's way out, a new one is being build behind it.

I am the AET at Suwa Futaba High School. The school building is very old, over 90 in fact! There is work in progress to build a replacement facility behind the current building. The inside of the school is stained wood, and has a lot of charm and character. I'm a bit sad that this building will be leveled next year when the new school is completed, but I am happy that students got to enjoy it for so many years! I love the wood details like the round windows and the heavy wooden ballusters. The school is about 2 minutes from our house by foot. It is a steep decent in the mornings, and a steep (but short) climb after school. Futaba has an Onsen (natural hot spring) inside, and i'm sure I'll be using that come winter time!

Here is a photo of me with my English Club. We are starting the English club this year, so all the members are new. Darius took this photo after we had a meeting about Country music and studied George Strait's "All my Ex's live in Texas". Darius swung by and we gave the kids a demo of country dancing. They loved it! (We did too!!)
