Ronin Warriors Character Guide

1. Ronin Warriors

-Ryo of Wildfire-
As leader of the Ronin Warriors, Ryo will go to any length to save his fellow Ronin Warriors from harm, including refusing to strike a finishing blow to Talpa, and charging into obvious ambushes. In his Wildfire armor, Ryo draws upon the element of fire, which is spiritually linked to him through perfect virtue. When Ryo absorbs the power of four Ronin armors, most frequently those of his fellow Ronin Warriors, he wears the white armor of Inferno, once belonging to an ancient warrior named Hariel. The power of the Inferno armor is unmatched by any known force, and it has the power to destroy entire worlds, were its power turned to evil. On one occasion, Ryo was able to use the powers of the Dark Warlords' evil armors to form the Inferno armor, and as a side effect, Ryo was able to mentally control the unconscious Warlords. Ryo is often joined by his highly intelligent, extremely large white tiger named White Blaze. When Ryo calls upon the power of Inferno, White Blaze also receives his own white armor, drawing upon the spirit of Black Blaze, the black tiger of the fallen evil warrior Lord Saberstrike. When transformed, White Blaze carries the Inferno armor's Soul Swords of Fervor.

2. The Good Guys (Supporting Cast)

-The Ancient-
The antithesis of Talpa, the Ancient wielded the power of goodness, and was the only force able to stop Talpa's invasion four hundred years ago. He formed the nine Ronin armors from Talpa's armor, and chose Ryo, Kento, Sage, Rowen, and Cye to become the Ronin Warriors. The Ancient would occasionally appear to aid the Ronin Warriors in their battle against the Dynasty. After awakening the goodness in Anubis, the Ancient sacrificed his own life to open a gateway through which the Ronin Warriors could invade the Dynasty. After his death, the Ancient transferred his legacy to Anubis, who became the next Ancient.

-Mia Kochi-
The granddaughter and assistant of Professor Kochi, an expert in the field of Japanese history and samurai warriors, Mia ventured out to find Ryo when he first appeared in the streets of Tokyo, with a giant white tiger by his side. She and a little boy, Yuli, soon became the last remaining people not taken by the Dynasty. When the five Ronin Warriors were scattered by Talpa, she used her grandfather's extensive computer records to locate each Ronin Warrior. From then on, she and Yuli became the Ronin Warriors' friends and sidekicks. Mia and Yuli have helped the Ronin Warriors on many occasions, including finding and holding the Jewel of Life, an important part of the fight against Talpa.

-Yuli-
The typical annoying little six-year-old, Yuli loves the Ronin Warriors and is constantly trying to tag along with them into the Dynasty. He is crazy about White Blaze, and gets just as worked up when White Blaze gets hurt as when Ryo or the other Ronin Warriors do. Yuli lost his parents during the Dynasty's initial invasion, and quickly attached to Mia, presumably the only other remaining human other than the Ronin Warriors.

3. The Dark Warlords

-Anubis-
A thinker as much as a warrior, Anubis, known as the Dark Warlord of Cruelty, initially worked for Talpa as one of four Dark Warlords, possessors of the evil Ronin armors. In his Ogre armor, Anubis called upon the unknown power of his armor, which was spiritually linked to him through the virtue of loyalty. Rejected by his fellow Dark Warlords, Anubis secretly questioned Talpa's motives, and, with the help of the Ancient, realized that Talpa was only using him for the power of his armor. Anubis turned against the Dynasty, and eventually took over the Ancient's legacy when the Ancient sacrificed his life for the Ronin Warriors. As the Ancient, Anubis helped the Ronin Warriors until the Ancient's spirit allowed Anubis to return to his Dark Warlord form to combat the three Dark Warlords. Eventually, Anubis sacrificed his life to drive the evil from Kayura. Both Anubis' Warlord armor and Anubis' Ancient staff were transferred to Kayura after his death.

The Dark Warlord of Venom, Sekhmet is part serpent, giving him odd, reptilian eyes. Sekhmet, like the other Dark Warlords, Dais and Cale, loathes Anubis, but unlike his fellow Dark Warlords, Sekhmet chooses to verbalize his hatred frequently. This becomes even more evident when the Dark Warlords confront Anubis after he has become the Ancient. In his Snake armor, Sekhmet calls upon the powers of venom, which are spiritually linked to him through the virtue of piety. Sekhmet can create large amounts of acidic venom, capable of slowly eating through Ronin armor.

4. The Bad Guys (Supporting Characters and Other Villains)

-Talpa-
Once a human, Talpa was so evil that, upon his death, his soul was sent into the demon realm, where he was able to subdue its demon residents with his terrible evil. Talpa became lord of the demon realm, and master of his demon army, the Dynasty. Not satisfied, Talpa entered our world to claim it as well, but was defeated by the Ancient. Four hundred years later, when the world's spirituality had declined, Talpa chose to return, taking the form of a giant floating head. After sending his Dark Warlords out to combat the Ronin Warriors, Talpa decided that he had to do the job himself. Talpa absorbed the powers of all nine armors, giving him back his physical form, back in full armor. He was ultimately defeated by the power of the Inferno armor, and returned to the demon realm. There, he staged a second attack, mainly focused on obtaining the three ancient artifacts: the Inferno armor, the Soul Swords of Fervor, and the Jewel of Life. He was finally destroyed with the goodness of the Inferno armor, combined with the four Ronin Warrior's powers and the Jewel of Life.

-Lady Kayura-
Kidnapped from the Ancient's clan as a child before she could fulfill her destiny of becoming the next Ancient, Kayura was turned into a vicious fighter for the Dynasty. Talpa's trump card, Lady Kayura was brought into the battlefield as a replacement for the lost Spring armor upon Anubis' defection. The gold necklace around her neck kept her under the Dynasty's mental control (and rather bitchy). After Anubis sacrificed his life to remove the evil from Kayura, Kayura wore Anubis' armor for a short while. She ultimately took the role of the next Ancient and returned to the Nether World with the three reformed Dark Warlords.

NAME: Lady Kayura

BIRTHDAY: 12 December 1559
HEIGHT: 5'2"
WEIGHT: 97 lbs
WEAPON: twin Star Swords
SURE KILL: Star Sword Scream

-Saranbo-
A moon demon sent by Talpa to discover the extent of the Ronin Warriors' power, Saranbo was so powerful that he provoked the first manifestation of the white armor of Inferno, the first weapon essential to defeating Talpa.

-Lord Saberstryke-
Servant of Talpa, Lord Saberstryke is sent to stop the Ronin Warriors from attaining the Soul Swords of Fervor, essential to harness the power of Hariel's white armor of Inferno, and the second mystical weapon with which Talpa could be defeated. Accompanied by an armored black tiger named Black Blaze, Saberstryke beats the Ronin Warriors to the Soul Swords. His code of honor made him give one of the two swords to Ryo, so they would be evenly matched. Ultimately, Saberstryke was defeated. With his defeat, the Ronin Warriors received the second Soul Sword, and the injured White Blaze was revived with the spirit of Black Blaze. Lord Saberstryke's "parting gift" enabled White Blaze to transform into Black Blaze to carry the White Armor's Soul Swords of Fervor.

-Sun Devil-
This demon could create black ice, and was sent after Ryo.

-Dara-
An inhabitant of Talpa's demon realm, Dara was given a sword formed from the combined powers of the captured Kento, Sage, and Cye, and led a large demon army to destroy the remaining Ryo and Rowen.

-Badamon-
Talpa's mystic sorcerer, Badamon knows much about the Ronin armors, and devises many schemes to place the white armor of Inferno under Talpa's control.

-Gashura-
Gashura was a demon sent to prevent Anubis, Mia, and Yuli from attaining the Jewel of Life, the third weapon essential to destroying Talpa. Anubis killed Gashura with the Ancient's staff.

-Demon Army-
These empty suits of armor created by Talpa are the generic henchmen to carry out the Dynasty's dirtywork. When these warriors are defeated, their spirits flow from their wounds in the form of black smoke.

-Demon Spirits-
These flying demons are the spirits of deceased evil humans. The spirits are channels for Talpa's evil energy, and can also play magic flutes, the music of which prevent the Ronin Warriors from calling upon their armor.
