Other Info: Hotaru has a unique healing power. She first appeared in manga vol.8 and appeared in manga vol.9 as Sailor Saturn. Powers and Attacks: Death Ribbon Revolution, Silent Wall. According to the manga, when she was 8 yrs old, there was an accident which killed her mother and heavily injured her. To save her, Hotaru's father fused her body with robotics. However, the Professor also had other motives - by turning Hotaru into an android, he was also able to further his research. While doing this research, the villians in Sailormoon S made their invasion. His project was destroyed, and Tomoe began researching on producing the ultimate 'super being' which was to be several times more powerful than a regular human being. In manga 9, we discover that Hotaru hosts two figures - Mistress 9 and Sailor Saturn, the Senshi of Death. When Mistress 9 awakened, while Hotaru's body changed, her spirit still lived. Mistress 9 was a follower of Pharaoh 90, who could only be destroyed by Sailor Saturn. Sailor Saturn has the power to destroy planets, but in using her powers, she also destroys herself. But, with the power of the ginzuishou, she was reborn as a baby, and was put into the care of the Outer Senshi. In the anime, she is given back to her father, who is now good. Her Japanese voice is done by Minaguchi Yuko.
