Lamma Island

Lamma Island is one of the remote islands from the Hong Kong Territory, and it is accessible by ferry in 35 minutes. The Lamma Island is definitely a good place to go if you wish to breathe fresh air, and to be away from the concrete city and to enjoy the fresh air in the country side. On Lamma Island, you can:

have a walk between the 2 harbours on the island. This will take approximately 1.5 hour, and you will see the beautiful scenery during your walk.

have a swim on the beaches. The beaches are quite full on Sundays and on public holidays.

go shopping for handicrafts. There are a number of handicrafts shops including glass crafts, light decorations, handy accessories and souvenirs, etc.

taste all kinds of snacks, including the beancurd desserts, the Thai satay, coconut tart, fress egg rolls. You can also have delicious seafood meals in restaurants near the 2 harbours (but make sure you bring enough money if you intend to go into anyone of the seafood restaurants!).

Actually, this is the first time I visited Lamma Island, and I enjoyed my day very much there. I especially like the beautiful sceneries and the snacks. The handicrafts are also very attractive, although i did not buy any for myself this time. I left the Central pier at 1120 in the morning, and left Lamma at Sunset at 6:00p.m.
