Modifications (Super-Saiyajin): Strength 13, Dexterity 14, Constitution 13
Appearance: Exotic. Objectively, only average. But in person she has that certain something that compels boys to think of her as the most desirable woman on Earth. Maybe it's a pheromone. Some people are much more vulnerable to this effect than others. Her features can best be described as elven, and her figure is not anything to sneeze at; but her most striking features are her spikey mane of onyx hair, catlike brown eyes, and slightly noticable fangs (now I see what drives the Walker lovers crazy ;) Although no one ever really comments on the way Abby looks in the chats, she does stand out in a crowd. In a more 'normal' superhero universe, she certainly would appear a bit different. Abby is of rather short average height and thin, standing only about 5'2" (maybe 5' 3") or so and weighs a mere 95 pounds. She has a slim but strong build, with a well proportioned figure. She is a quintessential Saiyajin baby, with spikey hair, well-toned body build, tan skin and a winning smile. She has short dark blue-black hair that falls past her shoulders and is kept restrained by a narrow white headband, with dark brown eyes with vertical cat-like pupils. She used to have long hair, but cut it following a remark by Piccollo.
Although she is over 22 years old, Ryoko appears to be about age 17 or so. As she seems only 16, it seems doubtful she has reached her full growth yet. Abby dresses in a wide assortment of outfits, most of which look sorta like modernized versions of the traditional kimono. When in the field, her battle costume is a skintight body suit in deep red with a black jagged pattern that covers each arm and the sides of her torso and a red high-collared armorcloth sports bra with red karate pads for the hands and forearms. Off-duty, Sakura dresses in the fashions one would expect of a physically active 16 year old. Her normal mode of dress is sneakers, long shorts, and a long t-shirt that falls to mid-thigh (or a t-shirt and a tank-top). Her shirts often have "fight" or some other similar word written on them. While in UGoI Islands, she doesn't try to compete with Hannah Kiiro, but still dresses fashionably while stressing practicality; she wears a variation of the traditional "fuku" (sailor suit) worn by many Japanese high school girls. It consists of red sneakers, white socks, a pleated blue knee-length skirt, a white short-sleeved top that leaves her midriff bare, yellow neck scarf and a red high-collared armorcloth sports bra with red karate pads for the hands and forearms. Most of the time, for instance, she will find some way to conceal a stake on her person, although she is not likely to need weapons in the daytime.
Smarts: Average, though cunning. She has had over a decade to aquire wisdom (not counting the ten years trained in Piccollo's backyard), but seems to have squandered much of it. She's isn't so much clueless as refusing to recognize certain clues that lead to uncomfortable truths. And she seems to do okay at school.
Cooking (and housework in general): You're kidding, right? Poor but improving. Abby's main problem is that she cooks in anger, which clouds her culinary judgement. As she learns inner peace, she should be able to cook edible food on a regular basis. Then again she _might_ try it to prove something or be nice, but she has little idea what food is supposed to _not_ taste like and is immune to most toxins. Get her a cookbook fast.
Fighting Skills: Good. Compitent brawler with a talent for swordplay. Probably has had no formal training. Can certainly beat anyone who hasn't trained all their lives; the problem is that most of the cast has. As is, Buffy would fit in to a high powered heroic level martial arts game or the low end of a wild martial arts campaign. If the more recent events hold true, I suspect she has more or less accepted that she will one day marry Laocorn (wether or not she likes him) and has slacked off a bit because she can count on him to do the fighting and rescuing. Abby is pretty typical for a martial artist. She's strong, fast, capable of absorbing punishment, and quite capable of dishing out the damage if needed. Because of the nature of her powers and her training, Abby tends to be a front line fighter. She will usually restrict herself to her basic karate skills, only tapping onto her ki powers if her opponent demonstrates ki abilities of their own (or other similar super powers). Abby fights as a martial artist. While she is very tough on the heroic scale, she isn't bulletproof or even sword proof. She uses maneuvers to enhance her defensive combat (especially when fighting multiple opponents) and against a Vampire will seek to batter the undead just long enough to set him up for a staking. Against other opponents, Abby adapts her tactics to the situation- she has often fought monsters far more physically powerful than she is, and if she can't trick the foe into putting itself at a disadvantage, Abby has no qualms about retreating in order to consult with Edgar or Kyla for research in finding her enemy's weakness.
Special Abilities: HOOO-BOY! Uhm... where to start.. Flight, Energy Blasts/Sword, Intangebility, Survival in Hard Vacume(sp?), Teleportation, Matter Rearrangeing (golems come in handy), etc. Is one of the few people who can regularly clock Joesph, adept with improvised bludgeons. (Evidence for carrying a Hyper-Dimensional Hammer is limited.) She has superpowers, in the respect that she has the strength and speed to fight vampires on even terms, but she actually isn't "Spider-Man strong." She still operates on a Heroic level- strong enough to bend a rifle barrel in two hands, but not enough to throw cars. She has yet to tap her full power (needs to power to Super Saiyajin to do so) but she could generate Radiant Hawk Wings unaided if she did. (Also, Abby continues to increase in strength over time and could lift a steel girder on one shoulder like it was a cheap plaster prop...) Oh yeah, she has a mental link with both Hannah and Kinji. Her main "special" power is her ability to use her chi to fly. We never do see her develop any chi attacks, although there is no reason to presume she couldn't. Most of Ryoko's powers center around the background of her Saiyajin heritage (and, I believe, Piccollo's training). Some of her powers seem to require at least one of her allies to be present.
First, Ryoko can manipulate heat energy. This allows her to project intense bolts of energy, or a rapid pulse, or to create a beam sword, or to 'throw' the sword. The sword appears as a beam of light and acts very much like a lightsaber. When switching slots, Abby is usually surrounded by a swarm of glowing dots. Second, Abby can manipulate matter. This grants her a broad range of powers, not all of which are expressed in the elemental control. She herself learned special techniques from a Namek called "Piccollo". As such, she doesn't bleed if cut (or doesn't appear to), she can grow lost body parts at will, create a Duplicate of herself, really doesn't need to breath and doesn't age and so on. Abby can walk through walls with ease, and can even carry someone with her. When desolid, she looks perfectly normal (ie. 'solid'). Usually, she combines Desolid and Flight to create such visual effects as sinking straight down into the floor or ground, looking almost as if she's riding on an elevator. Finally, she utilize her desolid to sink into a large object and manipulate it from within. Aside from all of Abby's other matter manipulation tricks, she can also fly, as well as teleport.
Note: Abby has no problem flying in deep space. Abby used her hair needles once. They were projected from her hair, and looked like long thin spines. Ryoko's final power is the ability to summon 'spirits' from the surrounding atmosphere. This requires her training in Shinto knowledge from her sensei. Once summoned, she can control them and even send them back, but this doesn't always work out. Being the Saiyajin also increases Abby's healing rate, allowing her to heal from wounds by a factor of hours rather than days. She is fast enough to catch crossbow bolts in flight, and her powers also increase her natural athletic ability (she was a cheerleader) to prodigal levels, allowing her to learn weapons use and combat techniques with astounding ease. This includes a natural skill in martial arts which is developed by intense training. One power Buffy has that isn't mentioned often is her ability to see visions in her dreams. Sometimes these dreams allude to events in the present, but sometimes they seem to foreshadow a situation that has yet to occur, allowing Abby a limited ability to predict the future. It is unknown whether these visions are part of the "Saiyajin package," since Hannah and Kinji don't mention them. But it also isn't confirmed whether Abby had this talent before becoming Piccollo's student.
Economics: The Kiiro dojo seems to be more of a financial liability than an asset, unless Laocorn can turn it around. Abby has some acting experience and can sing, so might do okay in entertainment (but remember her aura of infatuation.) She might also consider pro wresatling or pro martial arts. No skills that apply to a "normal" job (sorry, but half-saiyajin and vampire haven vandal do _not_ look good on a resume) and her laziness would work against her in the job market, but her abilities could be used profitably in almost any industry if push comes to shove. Then again, Laocorn has enough cash or potential sources of income to mooch off of.
