This is the 1st Shoko Kitano page!!
To avoid confusion among the japanese I meant this is the 1st page for Shoko in ENGLISH!
What can I say, she is the product of YOSHIKI, but really her own. I really like the
music. She has the dynamic voice I have which is what I like cause that's the way
I sing. Cause I can't hit the soprano but if I can hit 2nd soprano than so can she,
and her voice is really something.
This bright 15 year old japnese girl was born on October 5, 1982. She came from
AvexTrax which is where MAX is from (promotion wise). Shoko's father is a famous
comedian in Japan, Beat Takeshi. And I'm sure he had nothing to do with
her getting famous or anything. She just has the natural talent, that's what
got her a chance. Guess that's what Yoshiki was working on since after X Japan's "The
Last Live". I read somewhere he said she has a lot of talent but was surprised she was
pretty. Rude? Nope, I think he was being blunt about it. That's how the music
industry is now a days. But it's a good thing we know now that it's talent that he
wants and not really looks, but i'm sure looks has something to do with it.
Shoko debuted this year on 1998 June 6, with her first single "Begin" c/w "I Believe".
"Begin" is supposedly rock-oriented, which it can be. It's very good, although it did
grow on me after awhile. It starts off with the piano then goes into this "rock oriented"
sound. The coupling song "I Believe" is all piano, very Yoshiki like song. You can tell
this is his work, even if it didn't say "Produced by YOSHIKI", it sounds exactly like his
work.
Well there is not much I can say for now. This has not been updated lately. Mainly because
Shokochan has not released any new singles or anything that I know of. I have also
checked her Offical Homepage. There is no new release. "Bara to Midori" is still there
And I also hope this page helps you know more about her as she becomes a big
success and as she grows up through the years.
She is young for her age, but if you start singing over in Japan past the age of 21 or
something, your considered an obachan! ^^ Shoko started at a really good age, in
between!! I hope you like her as much as I do, cause she is sweet, nice and caring.
