Street Fighter vs. Ranma 1/2

The Setting:

ASSAULT ON THE TENDO DOJO - CONCLUSION

Genma Saotome could barely stand, but he looked up at Bison in an angry glare. Bison floated down to the panda and smirked. His right hand began to glow with powerful psycho energy when suddenly a voice cut through the air.

"That is ENOUGH!!" The voice screamed.

Bison, Genma and Nabiki looked up in the direction of the voice. Standing on top of the Tendo Dojo, close to the whole in the roof that had been made by Cammy, was Happosai. Standing behind him was Ranma. Ranma could not believe what he was seeing. From his vantage point he could see the forms of many fighters decorating the courtyard as well as the street just beyond the wall. He couldn't fathom what had been happening, but he looked desperately for Akane. He finally spotted her by Nabiki...she looked really hurt.

"Akane!" Ranma called out.

"She's OK Ranma, just out!" Nabiki assured Ranma.

"You're finally here." Bison said as he floated up to where the new arrivals were.

"What is the meaning of all this?" Happosai growled at Bison.

"Simple. All these people are your disciples. The man behind you used your fighting skill to defeat Cammy. Those men down there defeated some of my greatest warriors. Even the young girl was able to hold of Juni and Juli. You and your pupils would serve the ranks of Shadowloo well. I have come to recruit you to work for me... to share in a poriton of the power that will soon be mine. Say yes, or I will have to destroy you all."

"I didn't found the Anything-Goes School of Martial Arts to support the evil wishes of a madman like you." Happosai spat. "I founded it to support my own evil wishes!" Happosai began to glow with his own battle aura as he laughed an evil laugh.

Bison and Ranma both stood there with large sweat drops.

"Uh...let's just take this guy down." Ranma said, unhappy with Happosai's answer.

"No, Ranma!" Happosai shouted.

"What?" Ranma angrily returned.

"Ranma, listen to me this time. You can't help me. This is a test and I can't have you iterfere. I am going to pit my Anything-Goes style against his Psycho Power. You can't be involved because it would mean I am already admitting defeat! Do you understand, Ranma?"

Ranma was stunned, because he did understand. He realized that despite how evil Happosai was, this was a matter of honor. The founder of Anything-Goes vs. the master of Shadowloo. Ranma simply bowed and jumped off the roof. He aided his sorely hurt father over to Nabiki and Akane. The four could only watch and wait.

"Ready?" Bison asked.

"Bring it on, punk!" Happosai growled.

I'd like to give a long, detailed description about why I think Happosai will defeat Bison.

I could point out things like age/experience, height advantages/disadvantages, speed factors, and reletive Ki abilities.

But I'm not going to.

Because when I read this set-up, all I could think about was an old single scene comic I saw once, and wish to God I could find again.

What was it? M. Bison, Wolfgang Krauser, and Shao Khan, all bowing in supplication to Happosai while he lectured them on what TRUE evil was...

^_^

Hey, we can't ALWAYS be serious! It's Ranma, fer cryin' out loud!

The F*cking Otaku!

Ok, face facts. Bison is one of the most powerful men there is... But there have been those that defeated him. Ryu comes to mind, a martial artist with great skill and experiance. Happosai, is this and more. He has over a hundred years of fighting experience (like Wolverine, we don't REALLY know how old he is) and has proven that there are few who can accually beat him. If they do, it's never easy. Happosai has the additional benifits of being a small, fast target. Despite his Psycho powered speed, it's stil not going to be enough to land hit's on most of his techniques (since all his techniques are really just using special moves anyways) Happosai not only has speed, surprisingly good strength, and cool special techniques, he also has accually fighting skill. As stated above, Bison's list of way to hurt you are limited mainly to his special attacks. Happosai however accually knows how to fight, and though it packs a punch, Bison is not going to land any punches on Happosai, while happy pummels. away at him. Truthfully, Bison dose not stand a chance. Want more proof? Bison's Psycho Power style is a VERY specialized style, and that's just the kind of thing that Anything goes is meant to overpower. Also, Bison, as usual, is entering the fight with a very cocky attitude (with make sence, since he IS very powerful) But, he dose not yet realize that he has dug his old grave, While Happosai knows just who he is dealing with...some one who is accually more evil than him! He is not holding back this time... and even in the event that he dose get beaten down, Let us not forget that his perversion weakness, can also be a very good advantage. When ever he is beaten up, if there is a pretty girl, or a nice pair of panties/bras, he some how seems to find at least enough energy to jump and fondle the thing/girl. And Ranma and the others are there, If Happosai can't fight on his own... the others can always jump in... just as long as he dose not know about it...

Someone not near the Tendo Dojo right now!!!

Bison and Happosai, two of the greatest evils on the planet, in one spot.  You, of course, know that on the opposite spot on the Earth, a heavenly light is shining, birds are singing, people are kind to each other, and all is gaiety and joy.

This is an easier fight to pick than it might seem. Without the presence of girls to distract him, I don't believe Happosai can lose!  Bison can be defeated. And Happosai should be angry as well, considering it was Bison's thugs who beat up Akane.

M. Bison & Happousai, two great evils with different ways of showing it.  Frankly I think Bison will take out Happousai but it will be a very close fight.  Happousai has the experience advantage but Bison is far more powerful and has a legion of followers while Happousai can't even control a 16 year old boy.

Boy, this should be good. However, if I were a betting man, I'd lay the odds on Happy. Why the small fry over the intimidating Psycho? For one, while both are remarkably powerful, Happy is far more loose and adaptable in his fighting technique than Bison. (For gamers, consider the difference between playing Bison and Vega.) The Anything-Goes style is also superior to the Psycho powers because, with the right application of chi, an Anything-Goes artist could easily imitate Psycho powers - and I'd expect that Happy would be the most likely to do so - while Bison would never be able to assemble a Happo-Fire. As for weaknesses, I noticed something: Bison's one weakness is internal  Happy's one weakness is external. Bison's arrogance exists in any situation under all circumstances because it is purely within his own mind (and, if you'll check the fight's setup, his arrogance factor is currently in spades). Happy's all depends on the presence of pretty girls or lingerie,!  and you may have noticed that there really isn't anyone around for his to glomp  the Tendos have moved out of the way to simply watch. Not to mention, Happy's already gotten serious about the fight, having told Ranma to stay back  when Happy's serious, he's serious. Given all this, I'd give the win to the perv.

Bison and Happousai are both powerful fighters, but there are some key differences.  Happi has a style that varies from very impressive to incredibly subtle and deceptive.  Bison is fairly obvious nearly all the time about his power level.  Happi developed Anything-Goes pretty much on his own, whereas Bison was 'possessed' and started developing Ler Drit as an offshoot of Spetznatz Special forces training.  Finally there is the age difference.

How do all these translate?

1. The style difference: Happi's style can lead people to underestimate him.  Bison's doesn't (he goes around everywhere flying or glowing purple - obvious megalomania and total dismissal of anyone as a threat)

2. Development of their styles: Happosai is the Master of Anything-Goes, a variant on Kempo that seems to borrow from Jujutsu for philosophy (whatever works: that's Jujutsu  )  It is relatively little-known and is obviously quite powerful.  Ler Drit on the other hand is a relatively new development on Russian special forces training that adds a host of psychic or ki powers but that is still in development (the reason Bison competes in Street Fighter Tournaments is to refine his new style)  I'd say this also goes to Happi because Ler Drit may be powerful, but it ain't Jeet Kun Do - it's too new and inflexible to deal with Musabetsu Kakuto Ryu's flexibility and power.

3. Age: Happi is ancient but can still move better than most athletes.  By anime convention he has to be atleast 300 years old because he was young in any flashback where Cologne was young (and in the anime she is 300).  That's a hell of a lot of experience!  Bison on the other hand is relatively new to this.  Twenty, twenty-five years tops!

Overall, I'd have to say Happousai will win this one, tough as it may be.

The Fight:

The air seemed charged with electricity as the two warriors glared at each other. Bison's stance seemed calm enough, but all the fury and strain showed in his eyes. His psycho energy was glowing about him as he charged up for the battle. Happosai's face was more twisted as he called up energy's that licked off of him like flame.

Bison spent no time launching himself off into the dreaded Psycho Crusher move, hurtling his body forward like a bullet. His aura burst forth about him as he charged forward. Sections of the dojo roof were torn asunder by the powerful energies, but Bison was unable to touch Happosai with the strike. Happosai leapt into the air with remarkable speed, avoiding the attack all together. Then he hurled the dreaded Happo-Fireburst to where Bison ended up. The blast hit the warrior from behind sending him off the roof and onto the grounds below.

Happosai followed with 2 more Firebursts, but Bison teleported from his spot on the ground and appeared right next to Happosai. Happosai was able to avoid the powered punches Bison hurled and then he connected with his pipe, which hurtled Bison into the wall of the Dojo.

Ranma almost had to shield his eyes from the intensity of the flashing battle auras.

Bison hurled a Psycho Shot from his location, but it was a wild attack and again, Happosai was easily able to dodge the blow.

"Is this the best you can do?" Happosai laughed. "I thought this was going to be a challenge."

"How dare you mock me!" Bison hurled out in a slightly weaker Psycho Crusher. The energy was dimmer than his orignal use of this attack, but Happosai simply smirked.

"Oh... this again." Happosai landed a Happo-Fireburst right in Bison's path, destroying the momentum of the Crusher. As Bison regained his feet, Happosai struck Bison over and over finishing his combo with the pipe, hurtling Bison clear into the air.

"Wow. You gotta hand it to the old freak, he was in control of that fight the whole time." Ranma was impressed.

Bison crashed down somewhere near the Dojo and the thud was heard for blocks around.

"That pipsqueak isn't even half the fighter I am. Now, Ranma, let's get this place cleaned up."

**************************************************

M. Bison and his agents had long since fled the scene, regrouping to take their defeats into consideration. They would need to work out where they had gone wrong and return to succeed where they had failed. Bison was quiet as the plane transported them back to the secret Shadowloo headquarters. He was not used to defeat, but he knew for Shadowloo's future he would have to find a way to harness that amazing power. He would be facing Happosai again...

*****************************************************

Dr. Tofu was busy at the Tendo household. He couldn't believe all the damage to the Tendo household and its occupants. Ranma was sure to keep Kasumi occupied so that her presence wouldn't distract the doctor from his needed duties. It had been a hard battle for all of them and Ranma was even courteous to Kuno (who had fought with Akane against some of the Shadowloo agents). Kuno was recieving additional care from Sasuke, who had appeared on the scene shortly after Tofu's arrival.

"What a fight!" Ranma said out loud, just thinking of all that had happened.

"Oh my... I don't know how we're going to get this all fixed." Kasumi looked at the numerous holes in the roof.

"Now that evil has been stopped, I think it is time to go on my rounds." Happosai nodded to himself in satisfaction.

"What are you talking about? You're not going to start stealing again are you?" Ranma got to his feet.

"Of course! I deserve a reward...and I know just what silky treasures I crave. Out of my way!" Happosai was out of the door in the blink of an eye.

"Get back here!" Ranma said, hot on his trail.

"Oh my..." Kasumi sighed.

Happousai: 25

M. Bison: 3

Sorry I didn't finish this sooner! Thanks to everyone, especially Alex, for your support!!
