Martial Arts Style: Anything-Goes Martial Arts, Saotome School.

Cursed Form: Red haired teenage girl (Ranma-chan)

Strengths: Ranma's single greatest advantage is his adaptability in combat. Unlike more specialized fighters, he can change his fighting style to overcome any challenge. He has shown himself on several occasions to be able to copy the fighting styles of others, who have trained in them for most of their lives, and beat them using their own techniques, or adapted ones. If any one trait shows the most in the way he fights, it is his speed. He is certainly very strong, but his speed is by far his greatest physical trait, and he exploits this fact to its fullest when he fights. As an Anything-Goes Martial Artist, he never backs down from a challenge, and is always very determined to win when he fights. His pride keeps dirving him on, even after suffering a defeat, and he will not rest until he is victorious. Whenever Akane is in danger, or he is fighting for her in some way, his determination is even stronger.

Weaknesses: His pride also gets him into a lot of trouble. To prove himself, he has gotten into several situations where he has been in over his head. Almost all the time, however, he is able to use his martial arts skills to get himself out of it. In his cursed girl form, his speed is said to increase to even greater levels than it usually is, but his strength drops as well. Although he has trained his girl side, most of the time he isn't able to exploit the greater speed he has, and forgets that he isn't as strong. His cursed form is still human, however, so he can still fight, whereas others like Ryouga or Shampoo would be at a severe disadvantage. His most glaring weakness is his fear of cats. When he sees a cat, he loses all composure, hiding behind anyone who might be nearby. He is completely overcome with fear at just the sight of a cat, and can be attacked in his frightened state. This has been used against him by his enemies in the past, but if done to him long enough, it will bring out one of his strongest attacks, the Neko Ken.

Weapons: Ranma, like any Anything-Goes Martial Artist, is skilled in the use of almost any weapon. He has shown on many occasions when adapting to the martial arts styles of others (Like, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Martial Arts Cheerleading, etc...) However, in most serious fights, he almost always prefers to go without any weapons, save his fists.

Special Moves:

Ranma has a plethora of special moves which he has used during his battles. A few of them are very significant and powerful, but most of them are just one shot moves, such as kicks with fancy names or Saotome distraction techniques. He also is capable of mastering and using techniques that his adversaries use against him fairly quickly, such as the Shishi Houkoudan, although he is unable to use it on the level that Ryouga is.

The Kachuu Tenshin Amaguriken, sometimes called the "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire Technique," is a Joketsuzoku technique taught to him by Cologne. When he uses it, he is able to grab or punch anything in front of him so quickly that it appears as though a dozen arms are striking his foe at the same time. The technique is so fast, in fact, that Ranma is able to pull chestnuts out of a fire without burning his hands.

The Hiryuu Shouten Ha or Heavenly Blast of the Dragon is one of the more powerful moves Ranma knows. By remaining calm and collected during a fight, he cultivates a 'soul of ice' or a battle aura of cold ki. He goes on the defensive, leading his opponent in a spiral pattern as they attack him. When he reaches the center of the spiral, he raises his fist and mixes his battle aura with that of the enemy. If the opponent is angry or agressive and has a battle aura of hot ki, a powerful tornado is caused which propells the victim high into the air. Most of the damage from this move is caused when they fall back to the earth. The more enraged the opponent is, the stronger the tornado that is caused, and thus the more powerful the move. Ranma has adapted this move several times in order to defeat his enemies, and it is probably his most powerful technique.

In addition, Ranma invented his own technique called the Mouko Takabisha which was made specifically to counter the Shishi Houkoudan. The Mouko Takabisha is a ki blast fueled by the users 'light ki,' or feelings of confidence. The blast is projected from the hands, like a ball. The more confident that Ranma feels while using the technique, the larger the blast. Unlike Ryouga's Shishi Houkoudan, Ranma never mastered a perfect form of the move, and it remains rather unrefined as far as his usual moves go.

Ranma also is a master of the Neko Ken, or Cat Fist. When exposed to cats long enough, his fear becomes so great that he believes that he is a cat. This fighting form is very strong, and he can claw his way through trees and rock with ease until he has defeated his enemy, which seems to be anyone around him when he is in the cat mindset. Akane is the only one he will not attack, and she seems to be the only one who can calm him down. Falling into water has caused him to return to his regular mindset, but it's possible that there are other ways.
