Examples of Inmedae's Clothing

An Autumn walking suit

A lined jacket and breeches of chocolate silk and lining of gold-thread embroidery, a handsome wine-red and burgundy vertically-striped waistcoat with ruby buttons-, a cream-colored silk cravat with deilicate fringe-- a little tufted hat (typical of Adiraian fashion of the time) in brown silk, lined in burgundy and topped with rakish gold tassels cascading down the back of his head. Cream silk stockings, silk gloves with pearl buttons, gold and ruby-studded watch-chain with bejeweled watch and a handsome cane in ebony and gold.
(A fairly typical Inmedae outfit. He enjoys fall colors, and vertical stripes.)

A Winter suit

A lined jacket and breeches of fine cream silk with pearl buttons, a waistcoat in the same cream, but vertically striped with thin alternating stripes of russet, burgundy, and deep green before the background. A cream-colored fringed cravat and stockings with filigree at the ankle, cream silk shoes, cut low and elegant, and with the slightest hint of burgundy lining. A tailored overcoat of sumptuously embroidered cream-on-cream silk, lined in ermine, closed up to the neck with rows of embroidered and frogged clasps. A thick ermine muff, a matching ermine tufted hat, kidskin beige gloves with pearl buttons, a gold watch and chain etc; an ivory cane with the head carved and topped with a large, gold-set, dome-cut ruby.
(I imagine this suit worn on an early winter's day, while its rainy. I don't know why-- but its a nice outfit, never-the-less.)

A Spring suit

A jacket of pale mint green, rosetted at the pockets and closing with diamond and pearl buttons, breeches in the same material; a waistcoat in pale pink embroidered with violet, gold and silver threads in a pattern of spring flowers, and buttons of the same pinkish silk. Stockings and mint green embroidered shoes with gold buckles; a silk cravat and kidskin gloves, a watch and chain set profusely with diamonds, and an ivory cane carved fantastically.
(This is pretty pastel, which is not too odd for Inmedae, especially around spring-summer-- but he usually enjoys wearing colors in creams, mauves, burgundies, mustards, chocolates and reds; autumnish tones. He consumately hates nearly all shades of blue, and especially pure white-- and also owns no black suits.)

Inmedae's famous 30th birthday Parisian suit

Text from the scene-- albeit old and crummy writing.

"And with a gushing-forth of applause, the Lord Inmedae Menanceté had appeared, splendiferous, at the top of the stair, with a little turn of his heel and good-natured bow of his head. He was a monument to good taste. He looked fatter than ever, pinker-cheeked than ever, and grinning to the company with a wide, dimpling smile, for it was his birthday and he was entitled. His clothing was magnificent. The hair rakishly curling, a great deal of laced and tasseled cream cravat about his collars and chin, with an amethyst-and-diamond stickpin; his coat constructed of fine violet silk with silver-thread cherry blossoms, fanciful pagodas-- like some great Eastern fan-- and other miscellaneous embroidery bordering delicate silver and pearl buttons. His waistcoat, shorter and in the new style, was pale yellow silk and striped vertically with ivory, a troupe of matching fasteners down the front; jeweled watch-chains across the generous stomach and leading, presumably, to a watch in the side-pocket. His breeches: ivory and adorned with violet and yellow ribbons at the cuffs, pearl buttons at the knee; his pumps in deeper violet hue, all rosetted and laced and ribboned; an overly tall ivory cane topped fantastically off with a silver, diamond-and-amethyst-studded miniature pagoda which he held out in a commanding and nonchalant manner. He wore all new rings on his rosy fingers, only diamonds and amethysts and pearls, a huge and violet bow tied about his neckcloth, and his nose was powdered, hair glowing gold; he was graciously grinning, silk-stockinged and swaggering down the staircase to the crowd en massed below."
