A view of the city from the Irteny-on-Éva banks (which is the river that runs through a portion of the Capital, into the sea) in the Senas Argeté park.

A section of street in the entertainment-heavy, crowded Veliscent district; which boasts many elite cafés.
An interesting observation: Most metropolitan 'districts' in Adirai are informally named with similar words. In the Adiraian language, the word "czent" refers to specific area. The spelled-out district names shorten 'czent' to 'cent'. Examples: Eviscent (literally Éva-czent), Veliscent, Atrizscent, Eztriscent, etc.

The older, more architecturally traditional section of the city.

From the old sector's streets.

View of the old neighborhoods facing the Irteny-on-Éva's west bank; the quiet side of the massive Senas Argeté park.

The old, slummy neighborhoods.

More of the poorer streets.

Rooftop view of the poor streets of Adirai.

A view of fashionable Eviscent-Senas Argeté districts, from an interior.

More Eviscent-Senas Argeté architecture.

Upper-middle-class (wealthy physicians, lawyers, merchants, etc) townhouses in the city.

More townhouses of the moderately rich.

Near a bridge in the city-- shops, cafés, and townhouses of the wealthy.

A building in the city.

More upper-middle-class row houses.

Skyline of the National Galleries and various facillities (as well as the broad and fashionable center lane) on the outskirts of the park.

Area around the cathedral, older buildings.

The enterence to the grand cathedral in the city, where weddings and funerals for many heads-of-state are held. The Inquisitor's was held here, with monstrous crowds outside and public mourning in the streets. All who might fit inside did. Beside that, the Inquisitor and his bride were wed here, as well as Inmedae and his future wife, as well as various other nobility, past and present.
Adiraian weddings of the wealthy are large affairs, with anyone who passes by able to watch the spectacle from the streets outside the church. Only on the interior does it become solemn.
There is more seating behind the pillars; this is a very large cathedral.

A view in late Autunm of a view of the Eviscant square from the outskirt of the Argeté park-- whose trees turn deep red in a canopy in fall-- the green-color of which you might view on the main Townhouse page.

A placid little pool in Autumn, in the Argeté park.

The fashionable 'strolling-green' in the park, around a lake and land where horse-races or exhibitions are held often-- around which are very many large city homes of the elite.

Section of gardens in the park's interior, in Spring.

Large and expensive resturant in the fashionable district. Orchestras play in those upstairs alcoves.

An excellent example of one of the small but very elite cafés Inmedae frequents. Outside there is also seating, under awnings, as in Paris. If the setting is delightful, and the food is not pristine, he might send one of his chefs over to cook a luncheon for him and his guests.
