Hongou Yui sighed and shifted
her small brief case to her other hand as she walked down the busy Tokyo
street. The day had been slow, school just seemed to drag on that week,
perhaps it was because the next week was the winter break that she and
Miaka, her best friend, were so eagerly awaiting. Yui pushed pass the crowds
of people going to and from work and other such things. She looked at her
watch and groaned for the time was way past dinner. Her parents were going
to furious, she should've known better to stay after school at the library
to help Miaka with her book report. For once Yui wished that Miaka could
do things like that on her own, but then Miaka wouldn't be Miaka. Yui smiled
at the thought and continued on her way to the train station.
It was getting dark and for
some reason the trains were stuck. Yui tapped her foot in annoyance as
the overly cheerful voice came over the loud speaker.
" We are sorry for the inconvenience
but the train will be on hold for another half hour. Once again we apologize
for any problems this has cause."
Yui and serval other passengers
groaned at the thought of another half hour in the hot, humid, and cramped
train.
"Great, just great. Now we
will be late for dinner..I'd like to punch out those stupid technicians,"
said a young male voice. The familiarity of the voice made Yui's ears perk
up.
" Now bro, it is not the
techie's fault that the train is stalled," came another voice, it too sounding
very familiar. The realization hit like a ton of bricks.
" Suboshi! Amiboshi!" she
said out loud, jumping up. The people sitting next to Yui give her odd
looks. Yui's face turned a bright scarlet and picked up her school case,
she had to find the owners of those voices.
Yui spent the next thirty
minutes searching through the passenger car, looking for the owners of
the voices.
* It has to be them..only
Suboshi has that voice* she thought as she described them to another passenger.
The older man shrugged and mumbled gruffly that he hadn't seen them, Yui
sighed and kept on searching. The train suddenly jerked forward, throwing
her full force in to the arms of two boys on the right.
" EEK!" she yelped in surprise.
" Watch it!"
"Um...Miss.."
" Gomen!" Yui said embarrassedly,
as she stood up, the train moving forward under her feet. She grabbed on
to the bar and then looked at the two that had served as her landing cushions.
Yui felt herself gasp, for right in front of her were the two boshi twins,
Amiboshi and Suboshi. Or at least the two boys were mirror images of them.
" Seiryuu..."she whispered
softly, the boys gave her an odd look in return.
"Is something wrong Miss?"
asked one of them. *Amiboshi* her mind said immediately. Yui merely shook
her head no. She looked at the other twin, who eyes were staring at her
intensely. The one who Yui thought of as Amiboshi elbowed his twin when
he too saw his brother staring at her, he grinned and blushed at little.
*This is insane Yui..say something!* she shouted at herself. Yui cleared
her throat and brushed her long bangs out of her eyes.
"Um...I'm sorry...but you
two look so familiar...have met before?" she said, her voice cracked nervously.
The two twins looked at each other then shook her heads.
" Iie, sorry..but I don't think we have met," one said " I'm Toshi Sei and this is my brother Exinjeru." Yui nodded and replied,
" I'm Hongou Yui,"
Exinjeru hopped up and looked
out the window " Sei-kun! This is our stop!" he said and pulled the stop
cord. Sei nodded and smiled at Yui.
" This is our stop, see you
'round..Yui-san," he said and with that the two twins pushed though the
crowd of hot and annoyed people and off the train.
Yui sighed and sat down where
they had sat.
"What a day, " she thought out loud and closed her eyes for the rest of the ride home.
