"Hark!!!" And the Steven angel smited the weak with his Hark sign---"
"Jess, shut up!!!" Christy hissed, straightening her ballgown.
Jess Jingled her jinglebells iritably. "Listen, you get your christmas carols and I'll get mine!!!"
And the world Screamed in terror.
Prologue: Sleeping
"Rain- somehow I'm drawn to it I feel engaged, one and the same when heaven's dressing beads off my face the pain is nothing that a downpore won't erase..."
-Flowers become screens, Delerium
The Redhaired demon was a constant watcher over the boy in days to come---Ever since his awakening from the grove in which he had collapsed, the grief over his friend's death becoming too much to bear....
A cheshire grin, illuminating the darkness from the branches of a tree....A head adorned with silver strands pressed to his knees as he cried by the fire--- The sorrow was a feast for Evan, so delightful from one as delicious as the boy--- But it wasn't time for thoughts like that.... Steven Mallory was too important to the world's fate to become involved with, and his very existance disrupted his Sight.
Chaos tends to do that....
But it was also intreguing how it would turn out....A slight push in this direction, a guiding hand in another---
He had never liked Terra....Her----Solidity!! Her absolute reality took away from the wonders of the Dream... Giving things forms and names instead of the mere sensations of true existance. And when she recieved her mantle, she then decided that all those who COULD dream were insignifigant compared to the basic elementals of earth.
TREES!!! she prefered TREES over humanity!!! If there had been such a thing as Green Peace at this present time (Though he had forseen it) Terra would be their goddess....
Pale hands rested on black clad legs in a relaxed posture---There was no use getting tense over it---Terra was a fool, and that was that. And, if what he had Seen was correct, The boy would be one of the tools to her downfall....
He liked forms now.... Touch and smell and taste were nice....and there was no more lonelyness. Lonelyness was the bane of anyone's existance....And trees could dream---but they were meaningless dreams of drops of water and nightmares of fire.
Fire....Evan's sight trailed down again to Steven, who had curled up on the rain-dampened ground by the fire to attempt at some semblance of sleep.
A single atribute---antagonisim. The card of the lovers flipped into his hands....A perfect balance no matter which way it stood. The boy was the incarnation of the Last Turn's Pandora's Box.... Chaos and distruction, Dispair and pain---But hope as well. And that was the thing the world needed most right now.
A redheaded demon sporting a cheshire grin that belayed the tenseness in his eyes and posture sat in a tree---Watching.
