Back in March, this site was one of the FIRST to mention the release of Takeshi's Video Game entitled ONIMUSHA: DEMON WARRIOR !

The game weaves actual historical accounts and Capcom's own fictional storylines into one epic drama. Set back in Feudal Japan (1560) Civil War time, when feared Warlord Nobunaga Oda ruled, Takeshi portrays main character, Samanosuke Akechi, a Samurai Ninja whose mission is to rescue the beautiful kidnapped princess, thwart Nobunga's evil plans to conquer Japan, all while battling a legion of the Warlord's dark and demonic minions. Challanging Puzzles and Plot twists abound, in this upcoming release for the Playstation 2 by Capcom- definitely not for the meek!

Onimusha is like a "Medieval Resident Evil" with amazing backgrounds, special effects and motion picture-like graphics. It looks AWESOME and Capcom expects it to be a big hit and the most popular game for Playstation 2 this year!

The game is set to release in Japan in Summer 2000 with tentative release in the US in Fall 2000!

Character Description:

Samanosuke Akechi

Takeshi is the face and voice of the main character, Samanosuke Akechi, in a game which includes both historically accurate and fictional characters during the Japanese Civil War Era.
(** Talented TK was a big part in the making of the video game, even designing some Boss Characters.)

The "Demon's Hand": The main weapon, which serves as both weapon and shield. A unique glove-style weapon that is deadly to the touch. The giant claw-like glove slices enemies into bits. It will also enhance your Katana.

Other Weapons: Able to use 2 weapons at the same time including Katana Blades, Knives, Swords, Shrieken, Ninja Stars and other projectiles

Gems: Acquired throughout the game and fit into Samanosuke's Gauntlet. Cause elemental effects such as Fire, Wind and Thunder on weapons. Used strategically to inflict heightened damage or for puzzle solving.
