Sailormoon Omega-Beta

     Chapter One: Treacherous Friends

After the events at Rei's temple, the senshi had no other choice but to wait for something to happen, as hard as it was. With the Shadow senshi gone and taking the four others where they couldn't be found, Usagi was forced to wait until something happened. Just as she was leaving the temple with Mamoru, Rei's grandpa arrived and couldn't believe what had happened to his shrine. They were forced to lie to him and told him that lightning had lit the shrine ablaze, and the fire department was hard at work putting out the flames before more of the house would catch. When he asked where Rei was, they couldn't answer him, and had to just proclaim they didn't know. Mamoru took her home afterwards and made sure she was all right, his face full of concern. Not even believing her own words, she assured him she was fine and went inside, only to find her mom meeting her right at the door.

"Oh, there you are, Usagi. You have some guests."

Feeling nowhere near polite for guests, she groaned and dropped her head, "I'm not really feeling like guests right now."

Her mom looked at her a little concerned and smiled weakly, "Okay, I'll tell them you don't feel well." She patted her head a bit and headed back into the den as Usagi slowly walked up the stairs. She could hear her mom tell someone that she couldn't see anyone right now, but the voice she heard answer made her stop halfway up the stairs. Twitching a bit, she whipped around and almost stumbled back down the stairs towards the den, then was mortified to see who was being told to go away.

"Oh, Usagi, I thought you weren't feeling well." Her mom said and turned to give the two people a big smile, "I was about to show Suteki and Yamito to the door."

Dark Shadow Venus looked up from a picture on the mantle to her and grinned, though a dark grin at that. Dark Shadow Mars rose up from the chair and looked at her, his white hair right out in the open like a slap to her face. Then he coolly brushed some of his white hair from his face and spoke in an almost normal voice, though his eyes resounded with dark intent, "You must be feeling better then?"

Feeling that anger burn in her, Usagi narrowed her eyes at the two but realized her mom was still there. She tried to hold back some of that anger and seethed through clenched teeth, "I will see them, Mom."

Her mom just turned back to them and smiled happily, "See? She's fine. But where is Minako and Rei?"

Usagi winced at the thought and it looked like Shadow Venus could barely keep from grinning wickedly at the thought. Still, he smiled politely and looked out a window absently, "Oh, they're around. In fact, after we visit Usagi, we're going to see them."

Usagi's mom just clapped her hands together and tilted her head a bit, oblivious to the darkness before her, "Oh, that's great. I see you did something to your hair. I expected this from Suteki, but not as much Yamito."

With a light laugh, he ran his hand through his mop of white hair and smiled sheepishly, "Yeah, you know us crazy teenagers. Eh, it took us a while to convince him, heh."

Always amused by this boy, she laughed also and put a finger to her chin in thought, "Of course, I remember when I was your age I took my hair and..." Before her mom could stray off into that subject, Usagi cleared her throat loudly and held her fist at her side. Her mom looked at her and blushed a bit, embarrassed at her straying, "Oh, you kids want to be alone. I'll just step out and do some gardening." She laughed a bit and waved to the boys, then headed out the door into the yard.

"It was a pleasure seeing you again, Mrs. Tsukino." Shadow Mars said quietly and she turned to smile at him, then walked out the door to leave the three alone.

Usagi looked at him with a twitch and stepped into the den farther, "What do you think you are doing here? You betray me, and then come to gloat?" All while Shadow Venus watched, he pushed some hair back from his face with his thumb and closed his eyes, not answering her at all. She could only stare at him, immersed in her emotions, and it caused Shadow Venus to blink a bit. Looking between the two, he figured he it was his job to get the show going and slowly picked up the picture he was looking over.

"You know, Usagi, I always liked your family. So nice and friendly, it'd be a shame if something bad happened to them, wouldn't you say?"

Looking to him quickly, she got really angry and held her clenched fists at her sides, "If you even try and do something to my family, I'll....."

"Don't worry, we won't do anything to your family........yet."

She glared at him, her face twisted in anger and Shadow Mars opened his eyes slowly, looking at her silently. Almost wishing this was a dream, she spoke in a passionate voice, "Can you say the same about the Omega Master?"

"We didn't come here for a friendly talk." Shadow Mars finally cut in and made the both of them look at him. She couldn't decide what she hated him more for, betraying the senshi, or betraying her, but put all of that aside as he spoke more, "In the light of our current relationship, we will cut the pleasantries. Despite your feelings toward us, we will do you a favor."

"And what would that be?"

"Since you love your fellow Sailor senshi so much, we will return them to you."

"Why would you do that?"

"Perhaps favor was a strong word. You will have to fight us for them, of course."

In all of the anger towards him, she had never brought herself to believe she would have to fight him, and his words made her wince. Seeing how serious he was, she suddenly felt drained of emotions and looked down a bit, "No, I won't fight you. You're my friends, no matter how much the Omega Master has brainwashed you. I won't do it."

Her words made him narrow his eyes and actually show a bit of anger himself, "The Omega Master has done nothing to us, odango. We are not his little puppets, we are acting of our own accord. And you will fight us, no matter our past."

"Or we might let it slip who you are to the Omega Master." Shadow Venus added and leaned on a table, watching the two with a light smile. She just kept pleading to Shadow Mars with her eyes, but his face remained stoic, not showing any signs of regret. In the end, she dropped her gaze and her body went relaxed, a dark shadow casting over her eyes as she spoke in a quiet whisper.

"Where?"

"Yeah, I knew you'd come around. The old warehouse district on the East side of town. Midnight on Friday, and don't bother making any breakfast dates, you know?"

Looking up to Shadow Venus with a wave of panic over her, she stepped forward and shook her head, "That's five days away! What if something happens to them?"

"Relax, do you think we would let something happen to the girls who love us so much? No way!" He answered and grinned widely, giving her a peace sign that didn't exactly make her feel assured.

"What insurance do I have that they will be all right until then?"

Shadow Mars answered her as he turned away from her, acting as if he were leaving to the door, "We will keep them safe, you have my word. We will just end up killing them on Friday, so it really doesn't matter. But if it gives you peace of mind, they'll live long enough to fight."

His words made her wince again and look away as well, her own voice sounding weak and tired, "Fine, we'll be there."

"Bring your Tuxedo Kamen as well. He and I have a score to settle." The remark made her look to him for a moment in confusion, though his face gave nothing away. They both started to leave when Shingo came running into the room at full speed, an excited look on his face.

"Hey odango atama, did you see the new Sailor Moon video game? It's awesome!" He was all worked up in a pretty big smile and then noticed the other two standing there, "Hey Yamito! I haven't seen you for a long time!"

Shadow Mars looked down at him for a moment, and then smiled lightly, making Usagi remember it was really the only time he smiled like that. Running his hand over Shingo's head lightly, he spoke in a soft tone, "I had forgotten how much you like Sailor Moon."

"Yeah! She's sooooo cool!"

"Did you know that I've met Sailor Moon, Shingo?"

Usagi suddenly went pale as a ghost but Shingo's eyes widened even more at the thought, looking at him in awe, "Really? You didn't tell me that! Do you think I'll ever meet her?"

A dark smile returning to his face, his gaze slowly moved to Usagi , "I'm sure that will happen at some point." She pleaded with him silently and caused him to smile more, then look back down to the boy who looked at him with such admiration, "Be patient. Someday you'll meet her." Pulling his hand from the boy's head, he turned and headed out the door, but calling to Usagi once with a malicious smile, "On Friday, Princess." Shadow Venus gave her a light wave as he followed out after him, and left her to let out a sigh of relief.

"Princess? Does he call you that because you two are........."

Usagi suddenly jumped and forgot that he was standing there, but she quickly slapped her hand over his mouth, "Listen, twerp, if you ever want to see Yamito again, go back in the other room and forget what you just heard." Pulling her hand from his mouth, she eyed him as he blinked, then rubbed his lips a bit and slowly walked into the other room.

"Gees, do all girls act crazy around guys they have crushes on?"

Although she was annoyed by him, she was more angry at the moment than anything, so she didn't even say anything. He quickly made his way back out of the room and left her alone in her emotions. As she went mumbling over to the table and sat down, her thoughts revolved around the Shadow senshi and what was happening to them. Sitting with a deep sigh, she planted her chin on her folded arms and sighed heavily. Suddenly another voice floated back in as her mom leaned back in the door, "Well, I haven't seen Yamito for a long time, Usagi. It was nice of him to come over with Suteki."

"Yeah, Mom. They sure are something."

In a place outside of normal time and space, a huge castle sat among swirls of dark energy set against a background of emptiness. Huge spirals of black crystal sat atop of massive towers and resounded in immense power. Inside of that castle, the four kidnapped Sailor senshi were coming around in a huge room, though the darkness surrounded them like a thick fog. Quickly gathering their wits and bodies, the four stood in a small circle in the light and looked around quickly, but completely lost on where they were.

"Where are we?" Sailor Mars asked as she peered into the darkness, though she guessed the others would be just as lost. It was then they all noticed each other and became uneasy about their forms, "Why are we in our plain Sailor form?"

"I don't know but we need to transform into Super Sailor senshi and fast!" Sailor Venus pointed out and rubbed her arm a bit. Suddenly a single point of light caught all their attentions and, floating in the darkness, the Dark Prism emitted an eerie glow as it brightened up the room a bit. Suddenly the room started to do the same and they found they were surrounded by dozens of clones, accompanied by their own clones as well. Setting in a defensive posture, they became a little panicked and fearful of the worst. Sailor Mars stared at Prism with a hue of anger piercing her eyes, and an equally fierce tone in her voice.

"What do you want with us?"

A soft voice floated from the Prism and had an idle laugh to it, as if amused by their situation, "Maybe I just want some pleasant company?"

"We won't stand much of a chance against these guys how we are now." Sailor Jupiter growled and looked around slowly at the clones, waiting for the attack. Even in that time of panic, her thoughts went to her heart and she muttered under her breath, "I hope Kage is okay."

"Worried about the Shadow senshi?"

Looking to the Prism quickly, she clenched her teeth and hoped she would hear to the contrary. The Prism just spun silently and the clones started to murmur in amusement for some reason, many even laughing softly at that thought. With a huff in her voice, she clenched her fists in front of he and spoke in a gruff voice, "They're probably getting Sailor Moon right now."

"You're half right. However, they're all here now."

All the girls were taken back by that thought and Sailor Venus looked around quickly, then back tot he Prism quickly, "They're here? You better not hurt them!"

The soft voice continued from the Prism and made an unnatural silence fall over the room, "Why don't you see for yourself?" From behind the senshi's clones, four figures stepped halfway into the light and smiled widely at them. Their silhouettes were that of the Shadow senshi and it caused the Sailor senshi to look to the figures with a skip in their heartbeats.

"Is that......?" Sailor Mercury gasped and put a hand to her mouth as the figures stepped out of the darkness, casually standing together with vicious smiles on their faces. Shadow Mars was the except as always as he stood in the front of the others with no expression and looked at the four with an empty stare, his dark eyes now contrasted by his white hair. The others stood behind him and took a moment to enjoy the looks on their faces, like their deception had been a grand victory for them. Only Shadow Mars seemed annoyed by it all and stared at Sailor Mars as she barely got the words to speak.

"Shadow Mars?"

"Dark Shadow Mars." He corrected her and slowly pulled some of his hair from his face with his thumb. As much as she didn't want to believe it, her gut was confirming the terrible truth to her. Then the Sailor senshi looked in disbelief as their clones walked over and put their arms around the Dark Shadow senshi lightly, proclaiming their ownership to these new, dark senshi.

"It must be horrible for you girls to see this. It must break your hearts to know that they're ours now."

Sailor Jupiter's clone grinned as she spoke and hugged Shadow Jupiter a bit from behind, keeping her hands across his chest and pressing her cheek into his back lightly. Sailor Jupiter winced and stepped forward, holding up a clenched fists and yelling angrily, "No, you're the Priests! You can't be the Shadow senshi."

That outburst made the others laugh a bit, almost mocking her naive words. Shadow Mars coolly looked to her and titled his head a bit, "Still not convinced, Sailor Jupiter?" She quickly looked to him and he moved his eyes back to Sailor Mars, a dark smile creeping across his lips, "Ask her."

Sailor Mars clenched her teeth and glared back at him, but it did make Sailor Jupiter look to her with a blink. In fact, all of the others looked to her and she seethed lightly, but then spoke in a quiet whisper, "It's them."

Taken back by her admission, the others gasped and slowly looked back to them, still weary about all of this. Sailor Venus shook her head once and let out a quick breath, "This can't be."

Shadow Venus idly placed one of his hands on the arm of her clone and tilted his head a bit, "Sure it can, and it is. What, you don't like this new arrangement?"

Sailor Mercury held her fist across her chest and let out a slow breath, then slowly looked up to Shadow Mercury with pain deeply surging in her eyes, "You're fighting with the Omega Master now?"

He just stared back silently from in the arms of her clone and it was Shadow Venus who answered her instead, "Yep, that's right. That means we're your enemies now. Ain't life a drag?"

"Enough of this talk! Stop these pointless stalling and destroy them!" The Prism suddenly barked out and some clones started to advance on the Sailor senshi The senshi all backed into one another and prepared to fight them off when Shadow Mars stepped out from Sailor Mars' clone and stood in between the clones and the senshi.

"No."

The clones stopped and looked towards the Prism in confusion, which made the Prism glow in fury, "What? You dare to stop me?"

To it's further anger, he never took his eyes off Sailor Mars and spoke over his shoulder in a dry tone, "I gave my word to Sailor Moon they wouldn't be harmed. Not even you can make me break my word."

The Prism sat quiet for a while and the clones started to stir, even the Sailor senshi's clones stared at him in disbelief over defying the Prism. Still, he stood their casually and stared at the single senshi, his eyes never giving away what he was thinking or feeling at the moment. Given its position at the moment, the Prism slowly dimmed a bit and spoke in an annoyed voice, "Very well, Shadow Mars, they will be allowed to live. However, if they get in the way around here, I won't hesitate having them killed. They are your responsibility."

Slowly nodding, he finally turned from her and looked back at the gathering of clones that waited for orders, "Take them to separate chambers and lock them in. No one is allowed in but us." The clones quickly rounded up the Sailor senshi to do as he said, but Sailor Mars pulled her arm away from them in anger, which she was promptly struck across the face and knocked to the floor hard for. Putting a hand to her reddened cheek, she stared up at Shadow Mars for a reaction, but he just faced away from her and said nothing. Being helped up by the others, she couldn't believe he was just going to stand there, until he spoke finally, "If one of your clones kill one of them, then your ranks will suffer the same a hundred fold." With that, he walked out past the other Dark Shadow senshi and disappeared into the darkness, leaving the Sailor senshi in shock. The others soon turned and followed them with the senshi's clones close behind, and left the Sailor senshi to be taken to different rooms in the castle and locked them in separate rooms.

"So then we have to fight them."

After Usagi and Mamoru found Haruka and Michiru in the mall, they had explained the problem but Haruka seems cool headed about it, which concerned Usagi a lot, "I don't want to fight them, Haruka. I know the Shadow senshi that we know are still inside of them."

Letting out a little huff, Haruka crossed her arms over her chest and remembered how Kage had struck her, in more ways than physically, "That may be, but the fact is they're not just going to give the others back without a fight. If we can do it without hurting them, them I'm up for that."

Usagi wasn't surprised at all about her outlook on the matter, but she did nod and sigh a bit in relief, "Thank you."

"Don't worry, I don't want to see them killed anymore than you do. Even that cheap-shotting Kage." She added with a smirk and rubbed a hand across her forehead lightly, but it did makes Usagi smile a bit. Haruka's eyes wandered to Mamoru and she tilted her head a bit, "So, this may be obvious but I think Shadow Mars has a little innuendo against you. Not the best one out of the four to be stacking up against."

"I've noticed."

Usagi looked at him in concern and held her hands clasped in front of her, letting out a small sigh, "You don't have to come, Mamo-chan. She's right, Yamito is the strongest, and with their new powers, I'm afraid that you'll......"

"Usako, I can take care of myself. This thing he has against me isn't going to affect my being Tuxedo Kamen, not for a second. Besides, if we get them back, then there won't be anything to worry about, right?"

Usagi let out a slow breath and nodded, then smiled and looked to him with a glimmer in her eye, "Thanks, Mamo-chan."
