Chapter Ten: And So it Ends


Eternal Sailor Moon just stood and watched her friends battle in all the separate areas. She couldn't decide which battle to watch though all of her friends seemed to be doing well. Still, she yearned to go and help, "I need to help them, but who do I help?" The choice was too difficult for her and she clenched her fist and closed her eyes, "It's too hard, I can't decide. I'll just go help them all." Suddenly she was yanked back by her arm and found the Omega Master holding her. The perverted features of Endymion's face reflected a dark smile and it made a feeling of terror well up in her stomach as she tore her arm away from him, "You? Leave me alone. I want my Mamoru back."

"Too bad, because I like this body and plan on keeping it."

"Please, give me him back. I will give you anything you want. Please..."

Her offer made him laugh softly and shake his head, "My dear Sailor Moon, I will already get what I want." His hand slowly raised up in front of her chest and a flash of energy surged through his dark eyes. Her star flower started to appear and caused her face to tighten up. Those blue eyes even began to lose their brilliance but suddenly the Omega Master went flying to the side with a loud thud. Sailor Moon wavered weakly as her eyes came back to normal. Then she looked to another person standing next to her. Shadow Mars looked very determined as he looked where the Omega Master was rising to his feet. Although the Omega Master seemed very angry, Shadow Mars just eyed him coolly and felt a little satisfaction at flooring the evil one.

"You pathetic fool, do you think you can even harm me? I am forever!" The Omega Master roared and eyed the Shadow senshi gravely. A dark energy surrounded him and he got stirred all up to make him pay.

Shadow Mars seemed undaunted by his anger, "You won't take another person I care about. I will protect Sailor Moon at all costs." Even as the Omega Master moved towards him in an aggressive manner, Shadow Mars closed his eyes and his aura became much brighter. His energies focused on the task he was moving to do and the depth of his spiritual abilities were glimpsed at his chant, "Spirit of Mars, keeper of the eternal flame, I ask for your power. Give me a force strong enough to protect from evil and demand your price of me." The aura that surrounded him swirled and danced around his body and it caused the Omega Master to slow to a stop. He watched curiously at the impressive power, not at all concerned at what it could mean for him. Sailor Moon also looked at him with wild curiosity, especially since the energy seemed to be moving towards her. Then all at once the energy lashed out at her like a wild animal ready to kill. However, instead of hitting her it fanned out around her and began to form into a sphere over her. All of this happened faster than either could object and soon, Sailor Moon was trapped inside of a sphere of benign flames.

From inside of the sphere Sailor Moon glanced around at her surroundings and touched the flames carefully, "What...what's going on?"

Her only answer came in the form of a light warming of her hand instead of a terrible burn. Shadow Mars slowly opened his dark eyes and looked at the Omega Master with a dry tone on his face, "Not even you can touch her now." The familiar face of Endymion just eyed him back silently and in the distance of those eyes, Mamoru was smiling happily at the turn of events.

Suddenly some yelling filled the air from the side and the Omega Master turned his head to see the Witches still fighting while keeping their clothes together. Then his gaze moved farther to see Hawk's Eye and Tiger's Eye still trying to seduce Sailor Venus while Fish Eye was working his own seduction on a nervous Shadow Venus. This already dropped his mood and he expected pretty much from the rest. Sailor Jupiter and Shadow Jupiter were both keeping the Golden senshi off guard with their skill and the entire Dark Kingdom was crushed by the Outer senshi. As he turned back to the source of his frustration in the form of Shadow Mars, Sailor Mars was coming up behind him after piling up all of the Animates handsomely.

Then his eyes focused on Shadow Mars once more and he snarled through his teeth at him, "I thought that this would amuse me, but it's not. I guess I'll just have to kill all of you one by one." His hand glowed slightly and all of the evil creatures he conjured started to glow brightly. Suddenly the Witches all disappeared in a flash of light, and left Sailor Mercury and her counterpart looking around for answers. Hawk's Eye and Tiger's Eye both faded away, leaving a laughing Minako still blushing from the attention. Fish Eye followed quickly and Shadow Venus quickly looked around with a sigh of relief leaving his lips. The two senshi from Jupiter were closing in on Galaxia, their hands raised in fighting stances when she disappeared from in between them. The four generals glared uneasily at the superior senshi as they circled around Beryl in a last attempt to protect her. Then even they disappeared and left the three Outer senshi looking to the Omega Master. As Sailor Mars steps up next to Shadow Mars, the Animates disappeared in the background and her eyes fell on Sailor Moon in the sphere. Soon all of the senshi had come together as well and questioned how Sailor Moon ended up in her current place.

"What's going on?"

Sailor Uranus's voice was full of suspicion as she glared at the Omega Master but the true source of the sphere spoke up instead, "I was the one who sealed her in there. Sailor Moon is safe from the Omega Master. Now all there is left is to defeat him once and for all." Shadow Mars seemed confident in their ability to do just that and saw the realization of his promise on the horizon. Sailor Mars could even see it in his eyes as she looked up at him but also something else that scared her. However it never got addressed as the Omega Master miffed lightly and grabbed all of their attentions.

"A mere formality." His own sense of omnipotence showed through his light smile and he looked out over the senshi with a light chuckle, "So it comes down to this. All of you senshi together can't match my power. You should give up now and just die."

"Please, let Mamoru go."

The Omega Master slowly looked to the senshi trapped in the sphere and got a wide grin on his face, "I told you, he doesn't want me to go. He likes this power I'm offering him."

"You lie! He would never betray us like that!"

Her passions made him laugh even more and soon his eyes returned back to the fierce figure of Shadow Mars, "Foolish Yamito, your little sphere is nothing more than a glass ball ready to be shattered." Holding a sense of irony, he pulled a black rose from under his cape and presented it like a gift to the eleven senshi outside of the sphere. Soon the pedals of the flower began to glow and the Omega Master threw the rose at the sphere. In the air, however, the rose began a bolt of black electricity and pierced through the senshi with great power. In fact, all but Shadow Mars were pushed back from the sphere as the electricity impacted the it and became a vortex of light and energy. Sailor Moon was harshly thrown to the other side of the sphere from the force and the others gasped as they expected the sphere to shattered. The light faded away slowly and the Omega Master was disturbed to find the sphere hadn't even a scratch on it. The others were just as surprised until they heard a soft chuckle coming from an unlikely source.

Shadow Mars held his eyes closed and a soft smile was traced over his lips. He was obviously confident for good reason, "A glass ball to be shattered? Surely the all-powerful Omega Master can break a simple glass ball." His taunting made the Omega Master sneer even more and those two dark eyes slowly opened to a truly wonderful sight, "You seem angry. Good, that means your afraid. You see the end before you and that end.....is us."

"You are far too confident of yourself and your pathetic powers. I'll show you what real power is." The Omega Master said with a dry tone and his feet slowly came off the ground. As he lifted into the air a sublime glow appeared in his eyes and the entire room seemed to lighten at his actions, "You all have grown strong, but you still have no idea where you stand. I'm going to enjoy killing each and every one of you." The senshi became tense at his movements and each of them got ready for the fight. However, the Omega Master would tip the odds just a bit. He brought his hand in front of him and opened his palm slowly, revealing a golden ring that spun slowly. His eyes were locked on Shadow Mars as he spoke through a devious grin, "Try these on for size." Suddenly the ring shot from his hand and started to become larger in size. The speed that it came over Shadow Mars was so quick that none of them had much time to react. The glowing ring now wrapped itself around the surprised senshi and trapped him from shoulder to knee. Just as the others finally reacted to this, ten more rings flew from the Omega Master's hand and did the same to all of them. To finish the entrapment small lines of golden light latched deep into the ground around each of them and held them where they stood. Seeing the senshi trying to escape the rings brought a satisfied smile to the Omega Master, "As you can see, you're all my prisoners now."

These snares seemed to rouse up the anger of Shadow Jupiter and he struggled against his with a fierce look in his eyes, "Urgh! What the hell are these?"

Shadow Mercury had a slightly different reaction as he pulled against the rings in different areas at a time. Soon enough, however, his face became grim and he looked over to his counterpart, "What do you think?"

"I can't....reach my visor. If they have a weakness, I can't find it." Sailor Mercury replied while trying to activate her visor. The rings were keeping all of the senshi trapped and even Shadow Mars knew that he couldn't break them. The rest of them were struggling to get free while Sailor Moon watched from the confines of Shadow Mars's sphere. Her eyes were filled with worry and she quickly looked to the Omega Master and pounded her hand against the sphere.

"Stop it! Let them go, please!"

"Gladly, have Yamito lower the sphere and I will gladly let them go."

His eyes never left Shadow Mars and his wicked intent reflected along with his rival's image. Shadow Mars was the only senshi not trying to struggle against the rings and he just stared back silently. Sailor Moon quickly looked to him as well and pleaded against the side of the sphere, "Yamito, do what he says! Please, I'm begging you!"

"No."

His quick and simple answer made her wince and she was about to ask again when Sailor Mars quickly added her thoughts, "Think about it, Sailor Moon! If he has you, why would he let us live anyway!?"

"But.....Rei....." She replied and looked at her friend with a torn expression on her face. She was just as determined as her counterpart and slowly looked back to the Omega Master when she heard him yell out loudly.

"That's enough! One way or the other I will have that star seed!"

Sailor Uranus glared angrily towards him and tried once more to free herself from the ring, "You'll have to get through us to get to her." The rest of the senshi mirrored that same fact and stood ready to defend her, even trapped inside of the rings. The Omega Master looked around at all of them and smiled at their determination to protect her. In the end, his eyes fell on Shadow Mars once more and a soft chuckle followed his next word.

"Gladly."
