Chapter Eight: The Ultimate Battle!

For the next two weeks, the Sailor senshi underwent intense training and fighting programs to prepare for the battle ahead. Their efforts were rewarded as they all became much stronger and more confident that they would finish what their fallen Shadow counterparts had started. After resting the last two days before, the day had finally come where the moon shined no longer down onto the earth. The Sailor senshi gathered at the mountain portal and awaited the door that would lead them to the castle of the Omega Master. At precisely midnight, a strange glow surrounded the side of the mountain. It swirled into a crackling portal and the senshi stood ready to step inside. The two cats had their final messages to the senshi and Luna stood against the wind that was blowing from out of the portal.

"Remember all of your training from the last two weeks. Show the Omega Master he isn't going to conquer the world as long as the Sailor senshi are here to protect it."

Eternal Sailor Moon smiled at the support and waved off to the two cats lightly, "Thanks, Luna. We'll return as soon as we have stopped the Omega Master."

"Good luck girls!" Artimus added and fought against the wind the same as Luna. The rest of the Sailor senshi looked into the portal with grim determination. They remembered those who had gone before them to fight this evil and sacrificed themselves to make it possible. The efforts of the Shadow senshi wouldn't be in vain as the eight girls would destroy the Omega Master and free the captured Tuxedo Kamen. All in unison they yelled out and jumped into the portal.

"For the Shadow senshi......and our world!"

As the eight of them disappeared into the vortex, it closed as if just waiting for them to enter. Only the two cats were left and they both stared at the rock face. Artimus looked over to Luna slowly and let out a worried sigh, "Do you think they can do it?"

"Usagi can do it.....if she thinks she can. The others will be up to it but I'm afraid only Sailor Moon can end it. It seems that's always the case." Her eyes slowly moved up into the night sky and she looked among the stars for an elusive answer. The moon not being out let the stars shine brightly and the white cat also looked up. As they waited for the results of the battle a shooting star careened across the sky and disappeared into the atmosphere. Luna just sighed once more and closed her eyes, "Good luck, girls."

The Sailor senshi came to find themselves standing in a huge room with no windows and a dozen pillars standing around them in a circle. There were no entrances that they could see and implied no way out either. Only darkness surrounded them as the eight of the looked around slowly. Tensions were high as Super Sailor Venus tightened her fists a bit.

"Where are we?"

Only her high voice echoed her and no other person resided in the room. All of the dramatics were a bit more than Sailor Moon was going to take, "We're here! Show yourself, Omega Master!" Still there was nothing except for the overwhelming silence. Then a light began to shine down on the far side of the room. It illuminated the small alter where the Dark Prism sat slowly spinning above it.

"There.....there is the prism." Super Sailor Mars pointed out as her attentions fell on the alter. The rest of the senshi also looked to it and a deafening silence came over them all. Then a figure appeared behind the prism, shrouded in the darkness and shadows. Only the silhouette seemed familiar as the figure rested his hand on the prism a moment.

"Who...." Eternal Sailor Moon began to ask but her answer came as Prince Endymion stepped out from behind the Prism. They all stared at him in disbelief but Sailor Moon smiled in relief, "Mamoru?" He said nothing in return and just watched them all with an empty look about his eyes. Sailor Moon was blinded by her passions and started towards him. She was, however, interrupted by Sailor Mars.

"Sailor Moon, wait!"

As she tried to go after her she found her feet wouldn't move off the floor. Her eyes went wide as she tried to call out again but her voice seemed to be silent in the air. The rest of the senshi also found the same thing as they all watched in terror as Sailor Moon ran towards the figure. She seemed oblivious to their warnings and came right up to him and smiled, "Are you all right?"

"Yes, I'm fine. I'm glad you came."

His voice seemed to calm her a bit and she felt like her luck had just saved her from a world of stress. Oddly enough he stepped forward and put his arms around her slowly, holding her head close to his chest. She blinked at his action and didn't exactly know what to think of it at the moment. What disturbed her the most was she couldn't hear his heartbeat. Then her eyes suddenly widened in terror as he started quietly laughing. It caused her to step back and look at him with a frightened blink. His face had twisted into a wry smile and a foreboding glow appeared in his eyes.

"Sailor Moon, are you not happy to see your Prince? I'm sure he would be happy to see you....if he were here."

"No......it can't be." A glow appeared on his forehead and slowly revealed the sign of omega. It all became clear to her that she hadn't been so lucky, "It's you..."

"Yes, and it feels so good to be in a physical body again."

"Sailor Moon!"

This time the voices of the other senshi were heard and it made Sailor Moon wince a bit. Although they still couldn't move they tried their hardest to break free of the grip that was on them. The dark smile on Endymion's face reflected his amusement of the situation, "Come now Sailor Moon.....or should I say Usako? You should be happier with what I'm going to offer you." She found herself unable to move as he moved towards her slowly, though by her own fear than his power. An empty abyss reflected in Endymion's eyes and he walked right up to her, extending out his hand slowly. A black rose appeared in his fingers and he presented it to her, "How does the Universe on a golden platter sound? A perfect Universe that we can rule together."

The proposition made her wince and bite her lip lightly. The situation was almost too much for her and she began to lose herself in the stress of it all. Coming from her true love masked the proposal's wickedness and she couldn't find the words to decline. Then an image flashed into her mind of a human Yamito in a discussion they had before any of them had become darkened. She could remember the look on his face as he stared off her front steps and swore to her that he would end the Omega Master's reign of destruction. That single memory cleared her mind of temptation and she looked at that beautiful face with a frown "No, I will never be with you."

That actually surprised the Omega Master and he tilted his head slightly while he looked at her, "Why not? Mamoru and I are one now. I thought ruling with your prince is what you've always wanted."

"You will never be my Mamo-chan. Please let him go."

"Let him go? You must be kidding. With all of the power I've brought to this body, he doesn't want me to go."

His dark laugh made her clench her teeth and shake her head, "You lie. He would never join your side."

"You'd be surprised what omnipotent power can do to a person's ethics." Her rejection of his offer did little to suffer his mood and he laughed once more as he turned from her. Making his way back to the alter he clasped his hands behind his back and spoke in a disappointed tone, "Since you won't join me, I will have to kill you and your friends." As he came up next to the alter he rested his finger on the top of the prism and looked into it thoughtfully. Suddenly the rest of the senshi could move and they all came up next to Sailor Moon. She stood confidently next to them and sliced her hand through the air quickly in a speech.

"No, we'll stop you! We're the protectors of our planet and our Universe! We've been preparing for you and we're...."

"Yes, yes....I have sensed how much stronger you all have become since our last encounter." His interruption made her trail away and a soft laugh came over his shoulder. He didn't even turn his body to them, only his head as a detached glimmer appeared in his eyes, "Now you've even lost allies in the Shadow senshi. I'm afraid you don't have much of a chance."

His casual attitude about it made Super Sailor Jupiter a bit angry and she clenched her fists in a fighting stance, "We can beat you without them. You're time has run out!"

"Really, Makoto, none of you have any idea what you're getting yourselves into."

He finally did turn to them fully and rested his arms at his side. Suddenly a powerful gust of wind blasted its way into the senshi and threw every single one of them across the room and against the opposing wall. Without even a gesture the Omega Master had floored all of the Sailor senshi and that brought an amused look on his face. Slowly the senshi got back to their feet and stared at him. Even Super Sailor Pluto seemed a bit put off by the power coming from him, "He's immensely powerful. I suppose the rumors I heard were true."

The Omega Master looked to her with an unusual look in his eye and lost his smile for a moment, "You present another element to this battlefield, senshi of time. You see, I also have heard rumors. Will my killing you bring about any......visits from a certain Mage we both know?"

The subject brought on a light smile over Sailor Pluto's face and she gripped her staff in front of her, "That is a risk you must take. The person in question does things his own way, so I cannot answer that for you. You could always play it safe and give up now."

A moment passed as the Omega Master looked at her solemnly. The rest of the senshi were a bit lost on the subject but soon the Omega Master smiled once more and closed his eyes, "I think I may take my chances. You see, I have the most wonderful idea. I'm going to make this last battle a very amusing one.....for me. I will face that consequence if it arises." All of them wondered what he meant by that but soon would get their answer. His body slowly came off the ground and as he opened his eyes, a bright glow filled them with great power, "Great powers of the darkness, hear my words. I summon the powers of evil now lost. Exist in forms which I will provide. Come forth and serve the master of all things."

"I don't like this feeling I'm getting from this." Super Sailor Uranus said and brought her guard up another level. A bright light grew around him and figures started to appear next to him. As the light faded, the senshi were shocked as familiar faces started to focus on the figures. The first group were the Animates, Sailor Iron Mouse, Sailor Tin Nyanko, Sailor Aluminum Siren and Sailor Lead Crow. They were soon accompanied by Sailor Galaxia, evil from the presence of Chaos within her. The grouping brought a new level of distress in the other senshi and they watched in horror as the dark eyes of Sailor Galaxia opened.

"Where are we? What has happened?"

"I don't know, mistress. I don't recognize this place." Sailor Tin Mouse quipped and looked around the room slowly. Then the Omega Master called out from behind them and looked over them all with a devious smile.

"Your questions may be answered soon enough. All you need to know right now is I have brought you here."

The five of them looked back to him with bland looks on their faces but Sailor Galaxia seemed outright annoyed by this, "How dare you! You will pay for you insolence!"

Even as she prepared to fulfill that threat a strong feeling washed over her. Those gorgeous eyes widened a bit and she looked at the Omega Master with silent reluctance. He seemed amused by it, "Don't be so hasty. I brought you here with a breath and I can send you away just as quickly. Besides, I have a great respect for chaos."

"Perhaps then....a bargain?"

"Precisely what I was thinking. Kill these Sailor senshi and I will give you anything you like. I assume you understand that anything is within my power."

An idle glance from Galaxia made the senshi nervous and a soft smile crossed over her face, "I accept. After we kill them we can discuss exactly what I want."

"Good, but I'm not done yet. Let's make this even more interesting." As the evil senshi were joining the ranks of the Omega Master's forces, a new portal opened and released three more figures into the room. These three were also familiar.

"What the hell!? Where are we?" Tiger's Eye yelled as he looked around with a disoriented look in his eyes. His two companions seemed just as lost as he was and they both looked over all of the people that were gathered here. Fish Eye seemed a bit overwhelmed by all of it.

"I don't know, but there's a lot of others here."

The Omega Master slowly looked to them and a bland look came over his face, "Listen you fools, I've brought you here. I'm giving you the chance to serve a higher purpose than you could possibly imagine."

The terms of endearment he was using came off badly with Tiger's Eye and he stepped forward threateningly to the Omega Master, "Fools!? Do you know who we are!?"

"I know you and all about your idiotic personalties. If you were wise, you'd just shut up and do what you are told." That angered the three even more and they were about to move against him when their bodies started to fade out. All three of them looked to the various parts of them that became missing and yelled out in terror. Then they were returned to them and the three looked to the Omega Master. He just looked at them with a smug look, "Are you going to behave?" They still growled at him but didn't say anything, which was enough to satisfy him, "Good, then you may stay. Do as I ask and maybe I'll let you keep your bodies. Defy me and die like the dogs you are."

Fish Eye stared at him in disbelief for a moment and whispered to himself in revelation, "Mamoru?" The other two looked at him for a moment and wondered what he meant. The entire subject was lost in a moment as the Omega Master looked to the Sailor senshi with pride.

Sailor Moon watched all of this with growing anxiety in her face, "This isn't good, guys."

"I'm afraid it gets much worse, my dear Usako." The Omega Master quipped and five new figures appeared along with the others. The Witches Five looked around slowly and realized they were not in the same place as they were seconds before.

"Where are we?" Tellu asked and padded herself down a few times to make sure she was real. Eudial noticed the others with her and suddenly became very irate towards them.

"Hey! What are you five doing here!?"

"Hmph! What are you doing here? I bet you don't know just like us!" Mimete yelled back and wasn't daunted by the threatening look from Eudial's gun. The six of them started yelling among each other and the Omega Master winced at all of the bickering. With a snap of his fingers the six of them lifted off the ground and started to float in the air in front of him. He didn't even seemed amused by their shock.

"Do be quiet, all of you. I have brought you here so stop arguing."

"What? Why did you bring us?" Viluy asked as she floated upside down. The Omega Master did loosen up a bit at the sight of them bumping in to each other in the air and a light smile came back over his face.

"Help me kill the Sailor senshi. After that, you six can argue or even kill each other for all I care. If you do help me, however, I may reward you."

"You put us down right now!"

Now the smile spread deviously and he couldn't wait to grant that request, "Okay." The six of them fell to the ground, some on their heads and some on other parts of them. However all six of them quickly started to complain about the treatment.

"Ouch! That hurt!" Ptilol whined loudly and rubbed her backside quickly. Cyprine was quick to agree and rubbed her head in much the same manner.

"Yes, that hurt!"

"And now," The Omega Master grinned and looked to Sailor Moon with a reserved sense of reverence for the last of his surprises, "The one's who started this all." Once more a portal appeared and energy from it started at the ground and worked its way up, forming five new figures. After the portal closed the senshi stared at them silently and one of the figures seemed very upset about being there.

"What is this!? Who dares to insult the all-powerful Beryl?"

Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite and Kunzite all stood next to her and looked around with much the same questions in their eyes. Then the Omega Master stepped forward to her and smiled with a respectful bow, "It was me, your Highness. I have brought you here to ask for your help in killing the Sailor senshi."

"The Queen is not a hired mercenary!" Kunzite yelled out and took a defensive position in front of his queen. However, it seemed to infuriate her even more.

"Kunzite, be silent! I will speak for myself!" Kunzite was quick to back out of the way and offer an apology for his sin. Then Beryl looked on the Omega Master and was left a moment in her thoughts. The senshi found it odd that she wouldn't have recognized Prince Endymion and wondered how that fit into all of this. Then the queen looked him over one last time and smiled a bit, "I find your offer interesting. Maybe I can find it in my heart to help you."

"You are too kind." The Omega Master said and stepped back from all of his forces. He looked over them carefully and raised his hands up to the side, "I have brought you all here for a single purpose. We will kill the Sailor senshi. Some of you are more powerful than others, but I have given you all a little extra in your cause. I think you may find killing them much easier than you expect." Suddenly an odd glow appeared in all of their eyes and they faced the Sailor senshi with blank determination. None of them spoke again, even when they would be expected to. All this led the senshi to believe the Omega Master was doing more than just persuading them to join the fight. However all of their greatest enemies did present one pure fact that reflected in Super Sailor Mercury's next sentence.

"I think we may be in serious trouble."

"That's an understatement." Sailor Uranus quipped as she tried to keep her cool in this situation. Before the forces would attack, however, the Omega Master gave one last order.

"Bring me the Star Seed of Sailor Moon. You may deal with the rest as you chose." The forces he brought about simply started forward towards the senshi in a powerful advance. The senshi where already backed against the wall and watched them approaching with grim hope. Then, their hope came back.

From the ceiling came the sounds of crashing and piles of stone and mortar. A massive hole was put into the room and caused both groups look up in surprise. Then four balls of energy came flying down into the room and landed between the two groups. Each ball had its distinct color and energy type and it brought a new element into this battle.

All those standing and watching were breathless as the first figure stepped out of the first, which was a red column of fire. The dark eyes of Dark Shadow Mars glanced about at all of the enemies and a powerful silence fell over the room. Sailor Moon almost felt like she was going to pass out from the sight and Sailor Mars felt much the same way. Then he spoke in that chilling voice as his eyes came onto the Omega Master, "I think you may find that harder than expected."

"Especially now that we're here. Things are looking bright for the good guys, ya know?" Dark Shadow Venus casually quipped and glanced out over the enemies as well after he emerged from the second composed of orange energy that sparkled and shimmered.

Next the tall frame of Dark Shadow Jupiter stepped from the green swirling of electricity and crossed his arms over his chest. An eager smile washed over his face and he was just waiting for this fight, "Back from the dead and ready to kick some butt. You didn't expect us to just die that easily, did you?"

Finally Dark Shadow Mercury exited a small storm of snow and ice and scanned the odds silently. His mind was already at work and a confident look glazed over his icy blue eyes, "These odds are acceptable. Our forces are superior and our cause is just, so this should be a sound victory." The energies slowly died away from behind them and revealed all four of them in perfect shape and health. It brought utter shock on the faces of the Sailor senshi and a new look of annoyance on the face of the Omega Master. With the balance being tilted back towards the good side, the evil reproductions were more reluctant to attack and it seemed there was a small stalemate. However the Omega Master wouldn't let this go on any longer and fully committed this to be the final fight. For Sailor Moon and Shadow Mars, the same belief played out in their minds.
