Chptr # 3: A Funny Disaster
From Ash and Misty’s Point of View!...

::a tear trickles down Brock’s cheek, turns over the other way and sleeps::

Misty::whispers:: Wow, Ash. What do you think he was thinking that would make him.....cry?....

Ash: I don’t know, Misty. I just don’t know....::looks at Brock, then turns sharply to Misty again:: Misty,... he said “Never.” What do you think that he meant by that?

Misty: Well, it could mean ANYTHING, Ash!

Ash: SHH! Okay...I get it.... I just have this weird feeling it has something to do with us, Mist.

Misty: Really?

Ash::nods:: Hmm... You know... he does SO much for us... We should do something for him... ::fiddles with a twig::

Brock::talking in sleep::....pretty...fortune cookie..::snores loudly::

Ash and Misty have sweatdrops which quickly turned to stifled laughs and chuckles. They both look at each other stifling their laughs which make them laugh even harder.

Misty::between giggles:: Hold...your breath!

Ash nods and holds his breath as well as Misty.

They exhaled and felt much better, but couldn’t help with smiles and smirks.

Ash::yawns:: Okies, I’m tired now. Let’s really go to sleep.

Misty:lays down:: Alright. Night, Ashy boy.

Ash: Night, Mist.

Before putting his head down to rest, Ash takes one more look at Brock.

Ash::thinking:: I know there’s something wrong. ::puts head down::

Pikachu snuggles up to Ash’s head.

Ash::whispers and petting:: Night, Pika-pal.

Pikachu::sleepy:: Pika-pi.....

Brock sits up in his sleeping bag. It is morning. He looks over at where the fire is and sees Ash, Misty and Pikachu making...err... trying to make pancakes. Their backs were facing Brock.

Ash::loud whisper:: C’mon Misty! Hurry up before Brock wakes up!! This is supposed to be a surprise!

Misty::whispers:: I’m trying, Ash!! Gimme a break! And give me the stupid pan! ::grabs it from his hands and pours in the batter::

Ash: NO! That’s too much!

Pikachu::whispers:: Pika-pi! Pikachu!! (Ash! Quiet!)

Misty::puts it over fire:: There! That wasn’t too hard! Just a few more and it’ll be enough....

Ash glares at her.

Misty:What?! You wanna do something?! Here! ::gives him bowl:: Go make more batter!

Ash: Fine!

Brock::lays back down on side facing them, thinks:: I better be a bit more friendly today... I have a strange feeling today’s going to be a great day! ::turns on back, closes eyes and pictures the girl’s silhouette and her Pichu::
::smiles::

His smile’s suddenly broken by Ash and Misty’s voices arguing.
Pikachu was trying to calm them both down.

Misty::yelling:: You’re doing everything wrong!!

Ash::also yelling:: Don’t tell me what to do!! I know what I’m doing!!

Misty: No you don’t! You’re suppose to put in 3 eggs! Not 13!!!

Ash: Uhh...It’s for a better flavor!!

Misty: You’re gonna ruin them!

Pikachu: Pika...chu... (Too...late..)

Ash looks at Pikachu.

Pikachu: Pika? (What?)

Ash sighs, drowning out Misty’s ranting and raving.

Brock can’t help but laugh, he bursts out laughing.

Brock::laughing,standing up:: I can’t believe you guys!

Everyone turns to Brock.

Ash/Misty/Pikachu:: Huh? AHHH!

Brock has a confused look on his face. He’s standing with his arms crossed with one knee bent.

They all start running around frantically.
Brock has a sweatdrop on the back of his head.

Ash::running around w/ bowl of batter:: Oh no! He’s up!! Put this here! No, here! Wait!!

Misty::also running around:: No! Ah...uh...::kneels, mixing batter and pouring it into the pan on the fire:: Whew!::gets up turning around from fire:: Ash! Did you get the-

*CRASH*

Ash and Misty fall to the ground.

Misty: Ash! Where’s the-

*SPLAT*

The bowl falls on Misty’s head.

Ash: Uh-oh....::chuckles nervously::

The batter drips down on to her face. She licks the batter.

Misty:.....you know Ash.... this is disgusting.....

Ash puts his hand behind his head.

Brock laughs even harder causing him to fall down on to his back and sleeping bag. He holds his stomach in pain from laughing.

Brock: HaHA! Oh, you guys are a riot!! Hahahaha......!!!!!

Ash and Misty look at each other with huge sweatdrops.
Pikachu sighs.

After everything and everyone was cleaned, Ash and Misty made Brock go back into his sleepingbag.

Brock::getting in:: What for?

Ash/Misty::grinning:: You’ll see!

Brock::thinking:: Okkaaaayyy.....::looks down:: Remember Brocko! Be nice today!!

When he looked up, Ash and Misty were smiling and holding something behind their backs.

Brock: Huh?

Ash/Misty::showing hands each w/ a plate:: TAH-DAH!!

Brock::smiling:: What is it?

Misty::taking her cover off:: Chocolate chip pancakes!

Ash::taking his cover off:: -and eggs and toast!

Brock:Wow! You guys did this....for me?

Ash/Misty: You betcha!

Pikachu: Pika! Pika!

Togepi: Togepriiii!

Brock::taking both plates:: Thanks guys! This looks great!

Ash: Don’t mention it!

Misty: Yeah, this is just for you!

Brock:....Thanks guys..... but do I really deserve it? I mean, I’ve been a big jerk and-

Misty: You deserve it! Now, eat it before it gets cold or runs away!

Ash::handing fork and knife:: Here!

Brock smiles at Ash and Misty, then digs in.

Brock::taking bite and chewing:: Well, haha, this isn’t my cooking....but it’s great!

Misty/Ash::astonishment:: It is?!

Brock: Yeah! No lie!

Ash and Misty take a bite and look at each other.

Misty: Wow....this is good!

Ash: Yeah! I didn’t expect it to be this good!

Misty:Especially after the egg incident, ASH!

Brock::laughs and finishes:: That was de-lish! Can I get the recipe?

Misty: It was yours, Brock!

Ash: Yeah. We just added the chocolate chips! But no one does it as well as you, Brocko!

Brock:Thanks guys! You’re the best!

Ash/Misty: Nah!

Brock: Well, we better get moving if we wanna get to the next town.

Ash: AND find the Houndour!

Misty: Let’s go!

They packed up their things and headed out on the path.
