Chptr #7 The Battle;Loves Me, Loves Me Not...
From Everyone’s point of view! Hee hee!!

*This chptr has a song in it..... I think it’s a nice song from Pokémon The First Movie CD. Even thought I’m mad at them for changing the sweet melody of the Japanese CD to pop.. It’s still nice........okay! Whatever! I don’t know how to explain it, but the 2 characters are singing it.....but saying other things that are not in the song as well...... Am I making sense? If I am......explain it to me......-_- Oh well.....you’ll see when you read it.......?*

Brock, Ash and Misty gather as the 2 girls face each other across the grassy area.

Deanna: Full battle! 6 pokémon! That is unless.....::taunting:: you don’t have 6 pokémon!

Rachel: Full battle it is then......

Deanna: Heh! Well, I’m gonna start off with...::gets pokéball:: Nidorina! Go!
::throws it::

The pokéball pops open revealing her pokémon.

Deanna: We’re gonna do it with no callbacks and no second appearances! Sudden death! Heh heh.....

Brock::stepping forward:: Hey! You can’t do that! It’s against league-

Misty tries to hold him back.

Brock: Misty, let go....! It’s against league rules! You’re cheat-

Rachel: Brock....Let her set the rules.....::thinks:: I don’t want her to turn on to you guys....

Brock::struggles against Misty’s grasp:: No....! Can’t you see she’s brainwashing you.........?! You’re smarter than that......fight it......

His resistance was so strong he was dragging Misty. Ash goes in and helps her.

Deanna: Quit stalling! Send out your pokémon.......!

Rachel: Alright then.... Chinchou go! ::throws pokéball::

Deanna: This match is over already.....Nidorina tackle attack!

Nidorina makes a head on collision against Chinchou.

Rachel: Oh, no! Chinchou.....!

Chinchou::weakly:: Chin....

Rachel: Fight back with hydro pump!

Chinchou: Chin.....chou-chin!

It fires a strong hydro pump right at Nidorina, making it faint.

Deanna: NO! Get up! Ugh.... Weakling! Return!

Rachel: 1 down....5 to go....

Deanna: This isn’t over yet! Nidorino, go! ::throws pokéball::

Rachel: You did a great job, Chinchou! Return...! Ha ha!

Deanna: I ain’t gonna surrender to a goody-goody like you!

Rachel::sighs, thinks:: Who can I call out now...? Errr.... I’ll show her!
::out loud:: Skiploom, go! ::throws pokéball::

Skiploom: Skip!

Rachel: Skiploom, leech seed!

Skiploom jumps up and uses leech seed, but Nidorino jumps out of the way.

Deanna: Looks like you haven’t studied! Grass is weak against poison types! ::pulls down eyelid:: DUH!

Rachel: Oh no... I forgot.....::grabs pokéball:: Skiploom re-

Brock: NO! Don’t or you’re gonna lose!

Rachel::thinks:: He’s right....I guess I for...got? What’s with me......? I’m not used to not having my powers.....is that....why? ::winces::

Ash: Rachel does not look good from here.......maybe she should stop now before-

Brock::hesitant:: No..... I know she can do it....

Deanna: Nidorino! Poison sting!

Nidorino’s attack hits and Skiploom faints.

Rachel: No, Skiploom......::recalls it:: I’m sorry.... I should have known....

When she looked up, Deanna was trying to catch Brock’s eye.

Rachel::growls:: In your dreams! Now are we here to battle or to gawk?!

Deanna::sneers:: Both.....

Rachel: Now I’ll have to go on trust alone.... Go Ampharos! ::throws pokéball::

Deanna: Against that......::recalls Nidorino:: I choose... Furret! ::throws pokéball::

Misty: Oh, it’s so cute!

Brock: Don’t let looks deceive you.....

Ash/Misty: Huh?

Brock: From what I see....... Rachel was right....her pokémon are not as healthy as they should be....and they look neglected..... This Furret’s tail and fur is shredded and the other 2 pokémon looked no better.......

Ash: You’re right, Brock.....

Brock: And not only that....-

Rachel: Ampharos, thunderpunch!

It’s attack lands, but doesn’t do much for the fast Furret.

Rachel: C’mon! We can do this, Amphy! As a team, together!

Ampharos nods and jumps up ready to mega kick it.

Deanna: Furret! Ice Beam, now!

The attack hits hard.

Rachel::gasps:: No!!...

Brock: She plays dirty!!

Ampharos falls to the ground, frozen.
Rachel runs up to it.

Rachel: Ampharos, No! ::grabs a rock and chips off ice:: C’mon, please....!

With a hard hit, the ice breaks and falls off. Ampharos collapses into her lap.

Rachel: Oh..no...my dear friend.....

Ampharos: Amph.....

Deanna: Do you surrender......? You are no match for me.......!

Brock: No....don’t...

Misty: Don’t....you can do it....

Ash: Beat that ignoramus......

Her ring glows a blue aura.

Rachel: No......I won’t.....! ::recalls it and stands up swiftly in her battle pose::

Deanna: Ready for more?... Recalls it and throws pokéball:: I think this one will make you have second thoughts.....

Out of the pokéball appears an Ariados.

Misty screams and jumps into Ash’s arms.

Ash: Ariados?.....::takes out pokédex::

Dexter: Ariados- The big bug pokémon. Trainers beware, it’s attacks are strong and usually contains poison.

Ash: Uh-oh....

Misty: Oh.... I think it’s creepy.....!

Rachel hesitates as a sweatdrop rolls down the side of her head.

Sparks: Pichu-pi.....

Rachel::to self:: Face your fear....::grabs pokéball:: Go, Pidgeotto! ::throws it::

Rachel: Pidgeotto, you know what to do! FLY!

Deanna: Endure, now!

Pidgeotto’s attack hits, leaving Ariados weak but still standing.

Deanna: Spider web, go!

Pidgeotto got tangled in the sticky web as it shot out.

Rachel: Use Quick Attack!

Pidgetto dove at it, hitting the pokémon and fainting it.

Deanna: No! Worthless bug! ::recalls it::

Rachel::sighs:: Good job! You put up a great fight! ::recalls it:: ::thinks:: but.....now all I have is Charizard and- uh-oh.... Sparks..... Sparks can’t battle....she’s just a baby.....well, Charlie can handle anything....!

Deanna: Heh! C’mon, show me what you got!

Rachel: Go, Charlie! ::throws pokéball::

Brock: Yeah! Go Charizard! He can do it!

Deanna laughs.

Rachel: What’s so funny......?

Deanna: That! And this! ::throws pokéball::

A Blastoise appears.

Rachel: No.......

Ash: No....not a Blastoise....

Rachel: We’ll do our best, won’t we?

Charizard: Char!

Rachel: Cuz we got something that Blastoise doesn’t got! Wings! Go! Charizard,

Brock::quietly:: / Rachel: Fly, now!

Brock::nods:: They can do it.... ::smiles::

Charizard shoots up into the air and looks down below.

Ash: Wow!

Misty: It’s fast!

Deanna: Your Charizard maybe fast, but my Blastoise packs power! Blastoise, Rapid Spin!

Blastoise withdraws into its shell and spins up to Charizard hitting it.

Brock: It’s almost like it can fly!

Ash: Oh no!

Charizard groans.

Rachel: Uhh....Charlie! Sunny Day!

The sunlight got very bright.
Everyone shielded their eyes.

Deanna: Not so fast! Rain Dance!

Heavy rain poured from the sky. Charizard started to fall back down.

Rachel: Charizard! You’re faster! Sunny Day!

Deanna: Rain Dance!

Rachel Sunny Day!

Both attacks kept coming one after the other as each trainer called it.

Deanna/Rachel: Grrrr......

Misty: This part’s getting nowhere......

Sparks::worried:: Pichu-pi......

Pikachu: Pika....pikachu....

Rachel: Sunny Day! Quickly use flamethrower!

Charizard uses flamethrower just as the sun came out.
Blastoise hurls toward the ground.

Rachel: Yes!

Charizard dives at it.

Deanna: Hydro Pump!!

Blastoise gets up and fires a hydro pump at the oncoming Charizard.
He falls to the ground in a faint.

Brock: It was just too strong......oh...Rachel....

Rachel::falls to her knees::......Charlie...return....::recalls it:: Thank you....you did your best.....

Deanna: Now who’s the better trainer?! Call out your last pokémon so I can claim your boyfriend and you can go cry to your mommy..!!

Rachel::looks at ground:: I....have no.... last pokémon that can battle.....

Deanna: Then you forefit!

Sparks: Pichu! ::jumps in front of Rachel::

Rachel::looks up:: Sparks?! No...! You can’t battle! You’re still to young to handle an experienced pokémon! Especially in a battle like this!!

Sparks: Pichu! Pichu-pichu! Pi! Pichu-pi! ( Well, I am...for you and Brock!)

Rachel::stands up:: Sparks, I won’t let you!

Deanna: Oh, well....A win’s a win..... Go Aipom!

It runs up and was ready for battle.

Deanna: This battle is already won! Slam it with your tail and send it flying!!

Aipom: Ai......

Rachel: SPARKS!!

Aipom: POM!

It hits her with its tail and send it flying back.

Rachel::puts arms out:: That’s enough! I-

Sparks hits her in her stomach and send them both into a tree.
She falls to her knees and collapses to the ground.

Brock: No! Rachel!!

Ash/Misty: Oh...no...!

Pikachu: Ka-pika! Pikachu!

Deanna: Yeah! That’s what you get, runt! For beating me all those years ago...! Heh heheh.... ::walks toward Ash, Brock and Misty::

Brock runs over to Rachel, but Deanna stops him.

Deanna: Hey, handsome! Guess you’re mine now! ::turns him away from Rachel::

Brock::turns head:: But I-

Deanna::makes him look at her:: Forget her! She was weak.... I’m not....
::kisses him::

Brock tried to resist, but couldn’t get away from her grasp.

Rachel struggles and looks up. She sees Deanna and Brock.
She then looks over to her right at Sparks. She slowly stands up and picks her up. Putting a hand to her head and Sparks in the other arm, she winces. Looking for the last time at Ash and Misty, she sighs sadly.

Misty: Rachel....don’t go.....

Ash: Please....

Rachel looks at Brock again and turns around.

Rachel::shakes head, softly:: There’s no reason....to stay.... Goodbye.... guys.... ::holds Sparks w/ both hands::

She limps slightly into the woods. Brock notices her leaving as he breaks and pulls away from his unwanted embrace.

Brock: Rachel?!..... Rachel!....

She walks on without turning around, wiping the tears from her eyes.

Brock: No.... Rachel, please come back....!

Deanna takes him by the arm, pulling him the opposite way.
Ash, Misty and Pikachu reluctantly follow behind.

Rachel kneels down on the cliff, overlooking the river down below as she had described before. She looks down in her lap at Sparks.

Rachel::sighs:: Maybe you should return to your pokéball.....

Sparks::weakly:: Pi....chu Pichu-pi.... (No, I want to stay out here with you...)

Rachel: Sparks... It’s an order.....and I have to think.... ::gets pokéball::

Sparks: Pichu....pichu-pi....( Oh... Rachel....)

She recalls her and puts the pokéball away.

Rachel: And I don’t want you to see me cry....::sniffles::

Her ring glows again, this time she sees it.

Rachel: Huh...? Why does it-....This thing glows....?!

She grabs it and tries to get it off.

Rachel: Oh......get off...!

It finally gives and she raises her arm to throw it over the cliff.

Rachel::sighs, brings down arm:: No... I can’t do it.... No matter how much.. I still love him..... He’s probably happier....with that baka Deanna......

A tear falls down her cheek along side with many others.

Rachel::sniffles:: I...want him to be....happy....... ::cries and puts her head in her arms on her knees::

Rachel::sniffles:: No....Not this again.... Just like with Richard.....same everything........ It’s back.....along side with these tears....... Tears of sadness, loneliness,.........hate and of...a broken heart.......

Brock looks around from the woods, sees her sitting down and listens.

Brock::walks over::

waves of emotion

She looks up at him surprized as he puts out his arms and stands her up.
She hugs him and puts her head on his chest.

Brock::continued::

Just let them guide you
and your heart will chart the course
soon you’ll be drifting
into the arms secure you most.

Rachel::looks up at him::

Look in my eyes
you’ll see a million tears have gone by
and still they’re not dry

If only tears could bring you back to me
If only.......

Rachel::hugs him again:: Brock, I’m so glad you came back....but...why....? I thought you’d be happy with Deanna......

Brock: I’m only happy when I’m with you..... Like Ash and Misty had said they have never seen me happy like this before..... The reason I came back looking for you....::looks at her:: Is because I love you, Rachel...you...
Not Deanna.........

She puts her head back on his chest.

Brock::holds her close::

and solved the words

She looks at him.

There’s a side of me

Rachel: I love you too, Brock..... I always have.....and I always....will.....

They both kiss passionately.

They both let go and hug.

Ash and Misty come running out of the forest.

Ash::sigh of relief:: Oh, good.....You found her Brock....!

Misty: We couldn’t find you anywhere....!

Pikachu: Pika....

Rachel: Oh...Brock....You came back...Just like I had hoped you would....

Brock: I almost didn’t.......but now I know...we know... That we love each other so......

Misty::to Ash:: Yes! I knew it! Well all hated Deanna and told her she should go out with Gary because they’d make the worst couple!! Haha!

Her ring glows a bright blue aura which covers her whole body.

Brock: Uh...Rachel...?

Rachel::pulls away from hug:: Yes, Brock...? ::looks down at her hands and body:: Huh?......

Ash: Huh?!

Misty: What’s happening...?!

Pikachu: Pika?!.....

Rachel closes her eyes.The power of the aura grows stronger.
Her hair and vest were spread out as she hovered about 2 inches off the ground.
She looks up at Brock, Ash and Misty and smiles happily.

Rachel: Brock.... ::puts her left hand out::

Brock brings his right hand palm to palm with her left. His hand glows blue.

Rachel: Thank you, Brock..... It was your love for me.....our love for each other that...that brought my powers back...

Brock::surprised:: Really...?!

Rachel: Yes! ::tears in her eyes:: And since our love is so strong..... I’m even more powerful than I was before....!

Brock: Oh, Rachel! ::picks her up and spins her:: That’s wonderful!
::puts her down and hugs her:: Your powers are back!

Ash: But what do you mean... “Stronger than before”?

Rachel::lets go of hug, turns to Ash:: I hope it means what I think it means....!

The blue aura grows dim and swirls into her heart.

Rachel: Well....Now it’s safe inside my heart surrounded by love where no one can get it! ::sighs:: Okay...... I’m not sure if this’ll work the first time....but I’m gonna try.....

Rachel takes a step back.
She puts her hands together and her head down.

Misty: What is she gonna try...?

Ash: I’m not sure......

Her body glows her blue aura, then she disappears.

All: Huh?

Brock: Where’d she go?

They all look around.

She reappears above Brock.
He looks up and catches her as she falls.

Rachel: YES! Hahaha!

Brock: Ah! Ha! Teleportation!

Rachel::looks at him with big smile:: Exactly!

She teleports again.

Ash: Now where’d she go?

She reappears beside Brock, but falls down into a sitting position.

Rachel: Ow... I guess I gotta work on that...heh...

He helps her up.

Misty: That’s really neat, Rachel!

Ash: Can you do anything else?

Rachel: Well, I can do what I did before....read minds, enter people’sdream, blah blah blah....and a few other things....uh....Pikachu...::points::

They all look at Pikachu.

Pikachu: Pika...chu?

Pikachu floats above the ground and into the air.

Ash:Hey! Pikachu can fly!

Brock: Not really, Ash! Rachel’s controlling Pikachu with her powers!

Pikachu flew around the area.

Pikachu: Pikachu! (This is fun!) Wheee!!

Rachel brings him back down to Ash’s arms.

Ash: Did you have fun, Pikachu?

Pikachu: Pika! (Yeah!)

Rachel: Hmmm....::smiles::

Brock::puts arms around her:: Powers or no powers..... I’d still love you....
::kisses her on the cheek::

Rachel: Me too, Brock....Me too.... ::gets an idea:: Hey... I’m gonna try something else.....even though it’s teleportation.....okay...?

Brock: Really?

Misty: What are you gonna do this time...?

Rachel: Alright... All of you, rely and focus on my mind.......

They all closed their eyes.
Not even a second later, they all disappeared.

They fell on Rachel’s couch.

Ash: Ow....::looks around:: Hey, we’re at Rachel’s cabin...!

Brock: Yeah! ::looks around:: But where’s Rachel....?!

She appears about the coffee table and crashed down.

Brock: Oh, no! Are you alright?!

Rachel: Yeah....good thing I’m more happy than in pain....haha....

They help her off the table and she collapses on the couch.

Misty: You okay...? You look a little worn out....

Rachel: I’m fine.... I guess that was a little too much for me... I’ll take it easy from now on....

Brock: You read my mind....

Rachel: What did you say..?!

Brock: I said.... “You read my...mind”....?

Rachel::sighs happily:: Now that’s what I like to hear......! ::puts her feet on coffee table and leans on Brock:: Now this is the good life....!

All: You said it...!

Ash: Can it get any better...?

Pikachu: Pika..?

Sparks::comes out of pokéball:: Pichu! ::sits next to Pikachu::

Rachel: For Pikachu it can! Haha!

They all laugh, except for Pikachu who was blushing.

Rachel: Brock and I knew you’d make a perfect couple....!

Brock: But....That’s in the future....!

Ash: Wonder what it’d be like...

They all look over at Ash.

Ash: What?!

They all sigh with a little cloud.

Misty: Oh...Ash....

Rachel laughs.

Brock nods at Ash and Misty, then looks at Rachel.

Brock: Hey...::puts arm around her:: How about you come along with us...?

Rachel::looks up at him:: Huh?

Misty: Yeah! It’d be great having you with us!

Rachel looks at Ash and Misty.

Ash: Yeah! Please say yes..!

Rachel: Well....::looks down:: I don’t know.... I was kinda hoping we could all stay here.....::looks at Brock, then Ash and Misty::

Ash: But Rachel....::shows his badges::

Rachel saw he already had the Zephyr, Hive, Plain, Fog, Storm, Mineral and Glacier Badges. He needed one more to get into the League and that last badge was in Blackthorn. She looks down.

Brock: But I don’t wanna leave you here..... I wanna be with you, even if it means leaving Ash and Misty....

Ash: No, Brock!

Pikachu: Pika?!

Misty: Not you, too! Remember the last time you left!?

Brock turns blue and hangs his head.

Ash: Misty...!

Misty: Oops...

Rachel: What happened...?

Misty: You don’t wanna know.....

Rachel: Okaaaayyy....::turns to Brock and puts her hand on his shoulder::

Brock::looks up:: I don’t wanna...put you in a difficult situation..... If you don’t wanna come.... You don’t have to...

Rachel: I....want to come....but...

Misty: What’s there to decide...?

Rachel: I don’t know..... If I go..... if I don’t go...... ::sighs::

Ash: Rachel....

Rachel: You need to get that badge, Ash...so you can get into the Johto League.... If I go I can learn more about gym leaders and.....

Sparks: Pichu-pi....!

Rachel looks at Sparks.

Sparks: Pichu...! Pichu....? (Can we please go with them...?)

Brock: Yeah, It’d be best for Sparks.....!

Sparks: Pichu... Pi-cha-chu..... ( I don’t wanna be away from Pikachu!...)

Pikachu: Ka-pika..... (Sparks..)

Rachel::smiles:: Yeah.... And I get to hang with you guys and have someone to travel with....... While Sparks has Pikachu and I got you guys...! ::stands up:: Guys! You just got yourselves a new traveling buddy!

Brock: Alright!

Ash/Misty: Yeah!

Brock, Ash and Misty get up and hug Rachel.

Pikachu::hugs Sparks:: Pikachu! Ka-pika! Pikachu! Pika! (Yeah! You’re coming with us!)

Sparks: Pi-cha-chu! (Pikachu!)

Rachel: Hahaha! It’s so nice to have friends again! ::shows peace sign::
But this is just the beginning!! Haha!
