Epilogue: Someone to Love

Looking around the studio Serena saw how much it had changed over the
last five years. Miss Yoshio had died two years ago and named Serena
who had been like a daughter to her the new owner of the studio. It
was a hard thing to deal with but with the help of her family, friends
and of course Darien she had turned into one of the best schools in
the country. The door opened and Serena turned to see Darien grinning
at her from behind huge bouquet of flowers.
"What's that for?", she asked with her hands on her hips as she smiled
at her boyfriend. They had been together since she was sixteen and not
once did she ever regret not getting on that plane. She didn't regret
fighting back from Julian who caught the first plane out of Tokyo
after what she had said. No doubt he knew never to come back. Lessons
were learned. And Serena learned how to fight. He had taught her.
Darien walked up to her and whirled her around. Protesting with a
squeal he put her down and together they looked out the window to see
the sun was setting slowly. Night was beginning for they saw the stars
begin to appear one by one but below that the sun was painting the
sky with pink and orange. They were quiet for awhile and Serena
leaned against her boyfriend in contentment. "Beautiful, isn't it?"
"Yeah", he agreed but when she turned Serena found that he was looking
at her lovingly. She turned to him and they leaned their foreheads
against each others. It was actually possible since Serena had grown a
few inches over the years.
"Why did you tell me to meet you here?", she asked with a smile as they
held each other.
"Five years ago today I looked into this window and fell in love with
the girl I saw inside of it", he said as he gazed into her eyes. "Now
I'm at the same window asking the same girl to spend her life with me"
He produced a ring from his pocket. "Will you marry me Serena?" She
looked up at him and from her eyes fell crystal tears.
"That all depends", she said with a smile. "How do you feel about
learning ballet?"

"Well you guys SHUT UP!", Mina said as she watched the couple in the
window. "I can't believe Darien wouldn't let us go in" She smiled
as she watched them gaze into each others eyes. She leaned against
her husband Andrew and put a hand on her bulging stomach. "Does
anyone have food with them?"
"Is that all you can think about?", Raye asked indignantly. "I'm
pregnant too but you don't see ME eating EVERYTHING" Chad put
an arm around her knowing that she was feeling queasy. It had
been one hard month for her. And him.
"Well you are only in your first month Raye", Ami informed her.
"Everything you eat you throw up" She laughed as Raye glared at
her and Greg wrapped his arms around her waist. They had been
married the longest out of all of them. "Did you check on the
baby?"
"Yeah Mrs.Tsukino said she's okay just fussy", he assured her.
"You know he's taking a REALLY long time proposing to her", Lita
said watching the couple who seemed to be gazing out into the sunset.
They really made a good couple. They were gorgeous together.
"It took me awhile too, remember?", Ken reminded her and took her
hand as he saw her wedding band shine in the light. They had only
been married for two months but everyday he fell even more in
love with her.
"Can you guys be QUIET?!", Mina said. "I think he's gonna do it"
"What don't YOU be quiet?", Raye said. And with this sprung an argument.
Who was more annoying than who? Who talked too much? Who was too bossy?
Who was too nosy?
"Would both of you SHUT UP?!", Ami yelled finally. "Look" Their eyes
floated up to the window where Darien was slipping a enchanting
diamond ring on Serena's slender finger. As the group watched the
couple seal their engagement with kiss they were unaware of the tears
of happiness that filled their eyes. For it had been a long time that
they had waited for this moment and now it had happened.
"So you guys think they'll live happily ever after?", Lita said as they
walked down the stairs.
"Of course", Raye said as Chad slipped an arm around her waist. "After
all this is Serena and Darien we're talking about" They all laughed
and took one last look at the kissing couple before leaving them to
their privacy.
