The mecha pilot is housed in an Assault Pit - customized for each pilot's use via a bio-data recorder and can be linked to any Battle Frame. All controls are handled through an IFS or Image Feedback System, giving the Aestivalis excellent response time. The Assault Pit can be ejected and could become an autonomous escape capsule. But the assault pit also serves as the Aestivalis' main thrusters, in conjunction with apogee motors distributed throughout the battle frame.
