Akito is an Aestivalis pilot who works part time as a cook onboard the Nadesico (or is that the other way around?). Though he has a dislike for fighting, Akito is often thrust head-on into fights whether he likes it or not.

A Gekiganger fan like his close friend Gai, Akito is often in his room watching and replaying his beloved series but often gets interrupted by women on the ship. Needless to say, Akito has something close to an aphrodisiac that makes many men on the Nadesico envious.
