Hounto, Bakka-Bakka...

Ruri is the Computer Operator of the Nadesico's semi-sentient computer Omoikane. Although she is the youngest crewmember, Ruri is probably the smartest one on board. Which probably accounts for her calling her fellow crewmembers "Bakka" (fools) quite often on their journey together.

She interacts with Omoikane via a specialized nanotech enabled connection through her hands - similar to the IFS (Image Feedback System) used by pilots in their Aestis. She has a personal bond of sorts to Omoikane, often treating the computer like a human being.
