HAVE A LITTLE FAITH IN ME(Part 10)

It only took him a second after she ran out the door to realize
what he had done.He had lost her.Mamoru gripped the his armrest 
and without caring let the tears fall from his face.They rolled
down his strong face and hit his shirt.A gust of wind hit his
face making him cold but that they didn't matter.He was already
cold in the inside.Empty too.Everything he had inside was with
Usako.Mamoru heard the door slam shut and Andrew's heavy footsteps
penetrated the floor.Quickly he wiped his face before his friend
could see signs that he was crying.
"Mamoru,was Usagi here?I swore I just saw her an hour go",he said
as he headed toward his friend's room."She looked horrible-" Andrew
took one look at his friend and threw his arms up in frustration.
Something had gone down."What did you do?"
"I told her to go and she did" He failed to mention that she wouldn't
come back.Andrew saw that his friend's knuckles had turned red from
gripping the armrest so hard.
"Why do you keep on hurting her?",Andrew asked angrily.He was tired of
seeing his friend push Usagi away.He never saw the pain on her face.
Each time he refused her he killed a small part of her and Mamoru never 
saw it.But HE did.Andrew loved this girl like a sister and was just 
as defensive as any brother would be even if it was his best friend he
was protective her from."What is going on with you man?I see the
look in your eyes whenever she comes.I see your pain,I see her pain.So
why do you keep on doing this?"
"I do what I have to do",he answered quietly."No one said it was 
gonna be easy" Andrew felt bad for getting angry at his friend."I 
have loved her longer than anyone has ever known.I will do anything 
for her happiness" Andrew sighed wearily and reached for the phone.He 
placed it in his friend's hands.
"Mamoru,do something for your own happiness",Andrew said in a caring 
tone."You love her so much and she loves you.It's fate" Dialing for
Mamoru,he put the phone back in Mamoru's hands.The phone rang over and
over but no one answered.He realized that she wasn't going to answer
,she wouldn't forgive him.EVER.Mamoru placed on his lap and his eyes 
began to water.Andrew put an hand on his shoulder and looked up at 
the sky.'Please don't let what they have end' He saw the glassy look 
in Mamoru's eyes and felt his friend's pain.
"Fate was always against me",Mamoru said sadly.

The rain mingled with Usagi's tears and somehow she didn't know what
she was doing.She only heard him.She was slowly going crazy and their
was nothing anyone could do.The loneliness in her craved Seiya's love
and she did love him.Maybe she should let it happen.Maybe she should 
let him kiss her and be with him instead.Have a happy life with him.
Her lips came towards him and before her eyes a burst of light flashed.
She saw the first day her and Mamoru met...the day they found out 
each other's secret identities...and then she remembered when she 
found out her future...she discovered that they had daughter.The 
happiness she had that day would always be pressed in her mind.Usagi 
realized that her happiness laid only with him.Her life and love was 
him.Their was no one else,their would never be anyone else.'I have to 
stop...' Before the space between them could be covered,she pulled 
away.
"No",she said shaking her head.He looked in her eyes and the tears in
them were not for Mamoru but for him.Seiya knew then that it would 
never happen but he loved her so much.This was the one thing he had 
ever loved so purely.
"Open your heart to me Usagi-",he asked pleadingly.
"He is my heart",she responded and Usagi saw how much she had hurt 
him.Seiya never showed his pain.He had never asked for anything but 
for her to love him.
"Am I not good enough?",Seiya questioned.This took him back to another 
rainy day when he comforted her.
"You asked me that before and I never answered",she said and held his 
cheek in her hand."You are MORE than good enough but I love Mamo-chan
and I can't control my heart.Inside though,in my heart there is a 
special place for you.My friend.My Rainy Day Man" She kissed his cheek 
and Seiya closed his eyes cherishing the moment.He would never forget 
this.
"I will never stop loving you",he whispered in her ear.Usagi smiled
and hugged him.The bond between them would never change.
"Then love me as a friend",she whispered back.

"How's my sister doing?",Shingo asked as he sat on the soft grass.
Sitting next to him was none other than the girl of his dreams Hotaru.
They had been on a picnic when it started to rain.They were soaked now
and not to mention dirty but it didn't matter.They were together and
that did matter.
"Not so good",Hotaru responded and sat up."She came back yesterday and
went right to her room"
"Yeah she stop by the house yesterday.Her and mom had a long talk.When
dad found out what Mamoru did it took me and my mom to keep him from
driving off and killing him.For an old guy my dad's got some stamina"
His mother had practically jumped on her husband's back to prevent him
from leaving and he had been dragged on the floor trying to keep his
dad's feet from moving.He still had rugburn from it."Can I ask you 
something?"
"Go ahead",Hotaru said and glanced at him.She blushed as she gazed at
his strong profile and handsome face.There was something about him...
she didn't know what but she couldn't help but be drawn to him.
"What exactly happened to Mamoru?",he asked."Everytime my mom or dad 
asks Usagi she just ends up crying" Uh-oh.She had hoped to avoid this
subject but what could she say?That his brother in law was stabbed with
a poison knife?That would be enough to turn any guy off.To tell him the
whole story would cause her to reveal Usagi's and her identities.
"I don't think that I should dig into this subject",she answered."It's
not really my business to say what happened"
"She's my sister and you're my girlfriend",Shingo responded and entwined
his fingers in hers.Color flooded her cheeks but she smiled at him.
"Who said I was your girlfriend?",Hotaru said coyly.Thank god for Minako
and her flirting lessons.He smiled back at her and suddenly his face was 
solemn."What's wrong?"
"Nothing,it's just..." He bit his lip and looked into her violet eyes.
'Just say it Shingo!' He touched her face and lifted her chin."I...I
think I'm falling in love with you" He said it!Now what would she say?
Would she laugh or run away? "Actually I'm in love with you"
"You've only known me for such a short time Shingo.Don't say things you 
don't mean",Hotaru said.She didn't wanna let herself fall for him but
maybe it was too late.She was still young,innocent,and still very naive.
Hotaru was sure of one thing,she loved him.Even if he didn't really
love her.
"I have loved you the moment I laid eyes on you",He said tenderly.In the
back of his mind a warning alarm told him that he had dug himself into a
hole of trouble.What could be so wrong though?He had fallen in love with
the most beautiful,innocent girl on earth.He hadn't even told Mika he 
loved her.She said it to him but he had never responded.It didn't feel
right to say to her.He felt that he had to wait for the right person to
say it to.'Hotaru is the right one but if I tell her about Mika I'll 
destroy her' He kissed her hand and she looked at him in surprise.
"I love you",she whispered and he looked up.Did he really hear that?
She loved him!Shingo felt like screaming from the highest hill.They
were in love!Crazy as it is,it was true."I know I should've waited
and I'm too naive to even be sure but inside I feel it.It's love"
Somewhere inside her a alarm of warning rang.If she had a boyfriend
this could affect her job as a Sailor Senshi.She would have to lie
to him.She had saw what happened to Rei but she couldn't take the
chance,for his safety.He kissed her then and inside both of them
they felt a little guilt but most of all,love.

Rei sighed to herself and looked up at the cloudy sky.However a
some sun began to come through the clouds.Taking that as a good
sign she went to see if Sonya's fever had gone down.Lately Sonya 
was her only companion.The other senshi had their own lives and 
problems.There was no time for her to put in her pennies worth of 
complaints.Her eyes rested on a nearby picture of her,Chad and Sonya.
Usagi had taken it,the only one she hadn't screwed up out of all 
twenty four exporsures.Rei's eyes water and this time she let the 
tears fall.'I miss him so much....'
"Hey Sailor Mars",a voice said behind her.Rei turned to see Chad at
the doorway,in his hand a bouquet of red flowers.He walked over to
her and with hankerchief he took from his pocket Chad wiped her face.
She looked at him solemnly but when his hand grazed her lips she took
it and kissed his palm.He looked at her with guilt in his eyes."I'm
so sorry" They sat down and he lowered his head."I was scared you were
going to get hurt or that one day you'd be killed and I'd lose you 
forever"
"I should have told you",she answered back and lifted his chin.Pushing
his hair out of his face,Rei looked into his eyes."I should have trusted 
you but I did for your safety and that's why I'm not sorry" He nodded
understanding and she smiled softly."I missed you" Chad took her hand
and looked into her fiery eyes.
"I missed the way you yelled at me",he answered and she swatted his 
arm.They both laughed and Rei suddenly kissed him.Their days apart 
did nothing to the passion they held for each other."I missed that too"
She hugged him and he tightened his hold on her.He never wanted to
let go.That is until Sonya began to bellow from the top of her lungs.
Than he HAD to let go.Rei groaned but returned in a moment with Sonya
in her arms chewing on a biscuit.As soon as she saw her daddy the 
little one scrambled out of her mother's arms and into her father's.
Rei crossed her arms in mock jealousy.
"I think she's trying to compete with me",she said with a smile.It 
reminded her of how Chibi-Usa hung all over Mamoru.As if she reading
her mom's thoughts Sonya let go of her father and ran to hugged her 
mom's long leg.Rei took her daughter and kissed her.Chad put an arm
around her and kissed the side of her head.
"Hey Rei,can I ask you a question?",Chad said.
"Shoot",she replied.
"Just how short is the skirt you wear as Sailor Mars?"

How do you get two people back together?Wait,let's rephrase the 
question.How do you get two people back together when you happen to
be in love with one of them?Seiya thought to himself as he walked 
through the empty hallway.Knocking on the apartment door Seiya
was let in by a man with blond hair.His eyes widened when he realized
who had just entered his friend's apartment.
"You're...you're...." Andrew pointed and all of sudden yelled towards
the back rooms."Rita!Get over here!You're not gonna believe who's here!"
A beautiful woman scrambled ran out and took her boyfriend's hand as her
eyes sparkled with admiration.
"I'm Seiya Kou" He shook the man's hand and kissed the woman's."I've 
come to see Mamoru.I'm a friend of his"
"I'm Andrew and this is Rita",he said grinning."Would you like me to
tell him you're here?"
"I'll just go in" The couple walked out the door and he headed towards
Mamoru's room.Inside he saw the Mamoru was sitting next to the window.
As he came in full view of Mamoru's face he was still surprised that
they had such a similar resemblance.They could've been brothers.
"Who's there?",Mamoru asked suddenly.
"It's me.Seiya",he answered and Seiya saw that Mamoru had scowl on 
his face.Obviously he did not have a favorable opinion of him.
"What do you want?",Mamoru said angrily.
"I need to talk to you",Seiya said to him and sat down."I guess from 
the look on your face,you don't like me all that much"
"I didn't say that",he responded.
"Well I'm not here to argue about this",Seiya said."You still love 
her,don't you?"
"Does it matter now?I lost her" The look on his face was full of 
anguish and he remembered the look on Usagi's face when she talked 
about Mamoru's cruel words.
"DAMN IT MAMORU!",Seiya yelled and surprised Mamoru."GET OFF YOUR 
HIGH HORSE AND GO BACK TO HER" In the midst of helping Usagi he never 
realized how hurt he was."I'm sorry"
"It's alright",Mamoru said understandingly."But I'm just doing what's 
best for her"
"Who said leaving her was the best thing?",he said to Mamoru."You know
that there's more to why you don't want to go back to her"
"It's because...",he hesitated."It's because I'm afraid she'll regret 
being with me later in her life" Tears came from his eyes."She's not
thinking about it now but she'd miss out on a lot of things if she 
came back to me"
"It's doesn't matter to her,there is no life for her if there's no 
you",he told him sincerely.As much as it hurt Seiya,he'd give anything
to see Usagi happy again."Did you even know that at one point of your
guys break up she stop eating and sleeping.She went completely mute,
the others were worried and were even thinking of force feeding her"
"She stop eating?" It finally hit him and he realized how much pain
she had suffered.There he was being a selfish jerk and thinking about
himself while she quietly took all his yellings."I'm such a jerk"
"Yeah you are",Seiya agreed and they laughed."But Usagi loves you
and you love her so stop being a jerk.Go kiss and make up"
"It's not so easy Seiya",Mamoru said sadly."She hates me now,I told
her to go.I've only been thinking about myself and now about her
feelings.Why would she think of even going back to me?" He looked
down in despair.
"Don't worry.Did you think I'd come here without a plan?",Seiya
said smiling to himself.
"You have a plan?",Mamoru said and raised his eyebrows skeptically.
"I hope this doesn't include anything that'll make me look like an 
idiot"
"Those are the best kind of plans",he said to Mamoru."So you in?You 
going to use my Get Usagi Back Plan?"
"Yeah",he answered and smiled."That is if she'll have me"
"Of course she will!Have some faith in Odango",Seiya said and help 
Mamoru up.
"Why are you doing this?",Mamoru inquired suspiciously.His feelings 
towards the other young man less defensive in fact he was starting to
think of him as a friend.
"The exact same reason you're doing this",he said."Cause I love her"

"Are you sure this is a good idea?",Mamoru said as Seiya led him into
the house."I was never the best guy to do this kind of thing"
"Well you never know",He speculated and patted his friend on the 
shoulder."Don't worry I'll help and so will my brothers" Haruka and
Mirichu walked in to see the two.Mirichu's eyes widened in surprise
and Haruka looked at Mamoru in anger.She wasn't feeling quite fond
of him at that moment.
"What is HE doing here?",Haruka asked pointing at Mamoru.
"Keep it down,Usagi's not suppose to know he's here",Seiya said and a 
finger to his lips.
"Well what is he doing?",Mirichu repeated.
"He's here to beg for forgiveness",Seiya said."And with my full proof
plan she's bound forgive him"
"So what is your plan?",Mirichu asked and Seiya whispered quickly in her
ear.Her face broke out into a beautiful grin and she nodded."Okay I'll
help"
"Hey what's going on?I wanna know too!",Haurka whined and Mirichu let 
out a groan while she whispered in her lover's ear."I've got to be in
this but wait till I tell the others!"
"The OTHERS!",Mamoru exclaimed."Just who is coming here?"
"Everyone",Haruka stated and put an arm around Mamoru."Looks like 
everyone is going to see your apology" Mamoru winced when the doorbell
rang and the sounds of a crowd drew near to him.He also heard the gasp
of surprise when they all saw he was there.Ami,Greg,Taiki,Yaten,Mina,
Rei,Chad,and Sonya all walked in to see the one person they weren't
expecting to see.
"Mamoru!What are you doing here?",Rei asked and hugged him."It's good 
to see you"
"You cannot believe what he's going to do!",Mirichu said and then 
whispered in Rei's ear.Rei in turn told Chad,who told Ami and Ami 
told Greg who told Yaten,Minako punched Yaten in the arm and he of 
course told her.Taiki just found out an easier way and asked Haruka.
He refused to play telephone.
"I have got to see this!",Minako yelled.She began to run upstairs 
when Yaten grabbed her waist and pulled her down.
"Honey maybe it would more comfortable for Mamoru if the only people 
who were there were the ones who are needed" Angrily Minako stood 
aside and crossed her arms.Before Mamoru could go upstairs Rei took
his hand.
"Mamoru remember that you're going to have to convince her",she said 
in a serious tone."She's heartbroken and very angry so don't expect 
her to go running into your arms"
"I know Rei",he assured her.
"Okay,Break a leg Mamoru",she said and punched his arm lightly.As he 
descended up the stairs she crossed her fingers.'Please let this work'
If it didn't though,this would be an intresting show....

"Usagi,don't do this",Hotaru said as she sat next to her.Usagi sat 
on the couch next to the window and saw that sun was beginning to set.
'Another day has gone by without him.There are many more to go....'
Tears fill her eyes and not noticing or caring she let them fall.
"I'm sorry Hotaru",she said in a hoarse voice."I'm just not hungry
now" Shingo sat next to his sister and rubbed her shoulder trying
to comfort her.He hated to see her suffer.
"We could just leave it here,if you want",he said and she nodded.
"I think it's time for Usagi to have some time to herself",Hotaru told 
her boyfriend and the two walked out the door slowly.As soon as they
left Usagi burst into loud sobs.It was like being stuck in a nightmare.
She just couldn't wake up.Part of her felt like crying forever and the
other was just so mad at him that she could burst.Than there was the 
last part,the part that didn't care whether she lived or died.A knock
on the door interupted her thoughts.
"Leave me alone",she said loudly but they kept on knocking until her
irratation rose."LEAVE ME ALONE!"
"Usako",the voice said from behind the door.Slowly she walked to the 
door and leaned her forehead against it.Quietly Usagi locked the door
and sat down on the ground.She leaned her head against the door and
Usagi could hear the others murmuring."Usako,please let me in"
"NO!",she screamed back.The anger from inside her rose and in her
head she began to hear voices.'He's come back to torture you,to
break your heart.Don't let him do it again' Outside the door the
others waited in silence and in fear.What was going on with Usagi?
Her outburst had shocked them and now they hear her talking to herself.
"Seiya,what's going on?",Mamoru asked scared.He could hear the fear in
the others voices.
"She's scared right now",he explained unsure of what he was saying."You
have to convince her,prove your love"
"Usako,I won't leave until you come out",he said and sat down on the 
floor."I love you so much and I'm so sorry-"
"How could you tell me you love one day and tell me to leave the 
other?",she yelled.Usagi hugged her legs and began to sobbed again.She
was just confused,in her head everything he ever told her seemed so
unbelievable.'Somehow give a sign,something to prove that he really 
loves me,that he won't hurt me again' Suddenly the sounds of the piano
floated through the air and she stopped in her movements to listen.
"Mamoru don't worry,I'll back you up",Seiya said and patted his 
shoulder."Taiki and Yaten will help you too" The others stood in the 
hallway waiting expectantly.Mamoru took a breath and Seiya signaled
Haruka who was playing the piano from downstairs.Mirichu joined in
with her violin.Mamoru took a breath and prayed somehow this would
work.

Usagi listened intently to the deep malancholy voice.Holding
the doorknob she put her ear to the door.'Is that Mamo-chan?'

Mamoru waited in silence but he felt her presence and the scent
of her perfume danced through the air.His eyes filled with tears
for he could practically picture her in his mind,it seem she was
so near and on the other hand so far.
"She's right in front of you",Seiya whispered to him and look at
Usagi.Her eyes were watery and she looked at Mamoru so intently
like she was trying to memorize his face.Her hands were inches
from his and she hesistated before taking them.
"Why are you doing this to me?",she asked quietly and stood up.Mamoru 
still on his knees felt the warmth of her soft hands."Why do you keep
on hurting me?Just let me get go,go on with your life Mamoru" She turned
but he held on and she began to cry quietly for she loved him and didn't
want to leave him.He looked up and it seemed as though he was looking
right into her deep blue eyes.
"How could I live without these hands?"His hands traveled to her arms
and his touch made tears run down both their cheeks."Or these arms?"
Mamoru stood up and his strong hands caressed her face."...Or this face?
This beautiful,beautiful face" Usagi began to cry openly and her hands 
laid on top on his as he touched her face."Most of all how could I live
without that heart?That loving heart of yours.You have been there for me
despite everything I've done to you.I love you for that.I love you so 
much it hurts" She wrapped her arms around his neck buried her face in 
his shoulder.
"Don't leave me again!",she sobbed and he rocked her back in forth.
"Never again Usako....I love you...",Mamoru answered and kissed her
hair."Please forgive me.I've been..."
"A jerk",Usagi responded and they laughed.She turned around however
when she her the sound of people blowing their noses.All of the
senshi were in tears even Haruka(who was trying to hide it by
fake coughing).Usagi looked at Seiya and gave a soft smile.'Thank you'
"WHY DON'T YOU EVER SERENADE ME?",Minako asked Yaten angrily.
"Uh...Uh....I love you",he said and she angrily walked away.Yaten 
knowing he was in some deep trouble followed her down the stairs."Why 
would you need a serenade anyways?" Everyone cringed as they heard
a loud SMACK!"Ouch!Damnit Minako!"
"This is one of those times when I'm glad I'm not him",Taiki remarked.
Mamoru held his wife closer and he kissed her longingly.Soon their
passion for one another grew heavy and the others knew he was to
leave.
"I think it's time to let the kids go downstairs",Rei said and gave
Sonya to Chad.She led Hotaru and Shingo downstairs."I don't want you
two to get ANY ideas" The young couple blushed as they descended.
"Usa,I think you have some important news for Mamoru,don't you?",Ami
said as she and Greg passed the couple.
"What news?",he asked curiously and color flooded Usagi's cheeks making
her like a rose in bloom.'I can't believe I forgot to tell him!'
"Well...uh...you see...I'm pregnant",she murmured and Mamoru face went 
pale.
"How pregnant?",he asked curiously.
"Very pregnant",Usagi answered."In fact I'm about five months pregnant"
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?!",Mamoru said.'I'm gonna be a dad' He
liked the idea.'Wait....I'M GONNA BE A DAD!'
"Uh...surprise",she said sheepishly.
*THUNK*
Everyone rushed upstairs and were surprised to see a very frantic Usagi
trying to revive her husband.Minako folded her arms and stifled her 
giggle.
"I guess he didn't take that too well..."
