Hello everybody!Sorry the chapters have been crappy
or the spelling or grammar is bad.I been doing my stories
at night cause I'm busy with schoolwork and all.Anywayz

RIGHT HERE WAITING(Part 8)

"Oh gosh it's so cute!", Serena said looking at the crib with the 
SailorMoon designs on it.Crescent Moons and roses decorated the pillows 
and blankets.A small bunny laid in the crib.She touched the smooth wood 
and her eyes glistened as she looked at the mobile that had all of the 
Senshi hanging from it including Tuxedo Mask.Turning the mobile the 
soft tune rolled through the air and Serena hummed along.She had fallen 
in love with the crib and her eyes went downcast as she looked at the 
price."And so expensive" Sighing she took one last look and joined 
Darien who stood aside watching her.Darien carried the load of 
Christmas presents they had just bought.The holidays had come and 
Thanksgiving had just passed.Serena was in her ninth month and looking 
even more beautiful in Darien's eyes.The motherly glow had taken over
her face making her look more matured.The two walked out of the store 
and Serena had a small pout on her face.
"You feeling bad?",he asked and put a comforting arm around her.She 
snuggled up against him.She had done it so often,it wasn't that 
uncomfortable anymore.
"Yeah.Now I know how feels when parents want the best things for their 
kids",Serena said and tightened the pink coat she wore though it was 
hard to cover her grown stomach."I mean,didn't you remember when your 
parents wanted the best for you-" She stopped short and Darien looked
down.
"No I don't remember",he said sadly and sighed.
"I'm sorry",she said and halted in her steps.Holding him close as 
much as her stomach would let her,she comforted him as he always did 
for her."I'm such an idiot to forget...about your parents and what 
happen"
"No it's not your fault",he said though his voice quivered.Darien
looked at her caring eyes and gave her a tender smile."I'm alright"
"Speaking of which",she said and frowned at him."My parents invited 
us to the house for Christmas" Serena blanched at the thought of Darien 
and her father in a room together. Apparently Darien was having the same thoughts.
"Your dad...me...in a house...together",Darien said unsure.He rubbed 
the back of his head in nervousness."I don't know...."
"You have to",she said desperately."My mother says so and if you don't 
she'll drag you over herself" He laughed at the thought and Serena 
also let out a chuckle."Say you will,please??" Serena batted her long 
eyelashes and gave him a persuasive smile.How could he resist?
"How could I say no to you?",he told her relenting.They continued to 
walk down to street and to the onlookers passing them,they looked
like "the perfect couple".Serena squealed and took his arm."You know
what? This will be the first family dinner I've ever been to"
"Trust me",she said grinning at him."After you eat with my brother,you 
won't be so excited..."

"So what are you all getting Serena and Darien for Christmas",asked Ami
as she walked with the others.Raye stood next to her as the other two 
trail behind.
"I don't know",Raye said contemplating to herself.Putting a finger to 
her chin she looked up quizically."Hmmm.What do you get a masked man 
and a crybaby heroine?"
"Oh stop it,Raye",Mina said from behind her."You have to quit with the 
crybaby insult.Serena hardly cries and if she does it's from the 
hormonal stuff Ami's always talking about"
"So what are we gonna get them?",Lita asked but stopped when she saw
Darien walking across the street from them."Hey look!" She pointed and
the others turn.Observing they watched as he walked into the a small 
shop.
"Let's go see what he's doing!",Mina suggested wickedly and ran across 
the street.The others followed her though Ami was reluctant.
"We shouldn't be doing this",Ami argued while the others peeked into 
the shop window.Inside Darien was talking to the man behind the 
counter as he pulled a gold pocketwatch from his green coat.The man 
then took it and in return gave Darien several hundred dollar bills.
The Senshi gasped at the abundant amount.
"What do you think that's for?",Raye asked,a concerened look on her 
face."You guys don't think they're having money problems"
"No way",Lita said."Darien's a doctor and they're living in a free 
apartment,remember?"
"Well then",Mina said and grin came to her face."That only leaves one
reason:Serena's christmas present!" Their eyes lit up and they watched 
him exit."Let's follow him!" The others nodded excitedly.

Darien put his hand in his pocket missing the feel of old pocketwatch 
being there.He hated the thought of having to pawn it but the look on 
Serena's face as she gazed at the crib made him feel better.He thought 
about what she said,about wanting the best for kids and everything.So 
why shouldn't she give her baby the best money could buy.God knows 
she deserve to.But what could his possibly give her?She was beautiful,
sweet,smart and to him Serena deserved the world.A cold feeling came 
to him and he turned around losing his train of thought.
Was he being followed? Stopping suddenly he listened for noise and 
heard nothing.Continuing on he went quickly into a store and hid.
Looking at the window of the store Darien saw the Senshi walking 
slowly and glancing around for him.They were trying to spy,
were they? He began to follow them and also listen to what they were 
saying.
"Where'd he go?"
"I don't know,he probably knew we following and ran off somewhere"
"Of course he knew,I mean Mina was so OBVIOUS"
"I was not"
"Oh come on like he didn't noticed when you almost trip over your own 
foot"
"You guys there's only one word for this:STALKING"
"It's not like we're obsessed with him or something just curious 
that's all"
"Yeah I'm dying to see what he's getting Serena"
Darien tried not to laugh at them.After all they were looking VERY 
obvious talking so loud.He walked behind them and the Senshi didn't 
seem to notice.
"Hey where did he go?",Lita asked loudly.
"Over here",a voice reply and they stopped in their tracks.Turning 
slowly the four girls turned tomato red as they saw Darien smirking at 
them.
"Darien...",Mina said looking down trying to hid her enbaressment.
"What are you doing here?"
"Trying to find out why you guys are following me",he said trying to
laugh at them.
"Well...we just...wanted..find out...um..what you were getting Serena"
,Ami stammered.
"Yeah and how come you got all that money!",quipped Raye.
"You guys can help me out if you want",he told them and they eagerly 
nodded following him to the baby store.They all rushed to the crib 
with the Sailor Senshi mobile knowing this was the crib Serena wanted.
"It's this one,isn't it?",Mina asked and he nodded."This is so 
adorable!"
"I agree",Ami said and touched the smooth wood examining it.
"Good quality too"
"Now I need help with all that other stuff that goes along with crib"
,he told them and immediatly they set to work.The four girls rushed 
throughout the store looking for baby things and leaving Darien with
a feeling of being caught in a tornado.
"Well of course the kid will need the Sailor V doll!"
"And this Sailor Jupiter bib and of course matching bottle"
"How about this Sailor Mars baby blanket?"
"Don't forget the Sailor Mercury pillow"
Darien let out a sigh and covered his face with his hands as they 
piled stuff into his arms.Why did he ask for their help again?

Christmas Eve.The night air made Serena tightened her coat and move 
in closer to Darien.His body warmth might help her from not freezing 
to death.She looked up at him and a tense look was on his face.
"Are you alright?",she asked concerned and he gave her a reassuring 
smile but she knew he had something on his mind.
"I'm okay",he told her and shook her head telling him she didn't 
believe him.
"Darien,are you actually nervous?",Serena suggested and he nodded his 
head so quickly she knew he was lying."Don't toy with me.I can read you
like a book.Don't worry about it!My dad's bark is worse than his bite"
"It's not that",Darien said and his grip around her shoulder tightened
a bit."I'm never actually spent a lot of time with your family even 
when they were in San Francisco"
"That's so cute",she said and laughed."You're nervous!I can believe the 
dashing Tuxedo Mask is actually nervous!Now I've seen it all!" He 
looked at her annoyed.
"Oh yeah and seeing you Sailormoon,Serena Tsukino cleaning a house is 
an everyday sight!",he responded and she swatted him on the arm.They 
approached the Tsukino house and the sickening feeling in Darien's 
stomach started up again."Well here we are" A silence followed and 
Serena turned to him and smiled encouragingly.
"Just relax",she said and adjusted his sweater for him."If you don't
you'll drive me crazy!" Serena smoothed out his hair and straightened
his jacket.He watched her as she fixed his clothing and wiped the 
invisible lint off his coat,a warm feeling spread within him and he 
coughed. She looked up to see Darien's shining eyes and adjusted her 
own coat.Walking to the front door,Serena hesistated before pressing 
the doorbell."Remember just don't act like your scared around my family.
They can smell fear and can chew you out like that" She pretended to
slice her neck as if to imitate what'd her father would do to him.
Darien swallowed hard and Serena laughed loudly."I was just kidding!
Really don't worry." She put a hand on each of his shoulders and 
looked up at him."My mother loves you and my dad...we'll work on him" 
Suddenly the door opened and Ilene Tsukino smiled broadly at the 
couple.
"Hey you two!",she exclaimed and held the door open widely."Come in
before you freeze to death" The two eagerly came into the warm house 
and took of their coats.Ilene held out arms out and Serena rushed into 
them.
"Merry Christmas sweetie" The two embrace tightly and Serena let go of 
her mother.Ilene them went to Darien and hugged him motherly."Merry 
Christmas to you too Darien.Gosh it's nice have a new face in the 
house and next year we'll have another one" She patted Serena's 
stomach.
"Hey lovebirds",a voice said and the two turned around to see Sammy 
standing there smiling at them.He had grown into a tall,handsome 
teenage boy.He no longer was as irratating as before.Serena flew to 
his arms and against his will kissed him on the cheek."Oh god Serena! 
Save the mushy stuff for your husband!"
"Fine I will",she said hands on her hips."Just like I'm sure you're 
saving your kisses for Mika!" Serena winked making Sammy blush bright 
red.He turned to Darien and smiled brotherly.
"Who'd believe you marry my ditz of a sister",he said to him as Serena 
angrily yelled in the background but he look back at her."You must 
really see how special she is" 
"I do",he responded and looked at Serena who was placing the presents 
they brought under the brightly lit Christmas tree.Serena turned to 
look at him and smiled softly.He felt his heart melt and Darien knew 
right there and then he loved Serena more than life itself.The scene 
was interuppted by Ken Tsukino coming into the hallway.Darien's throat 
tightened and Serena rushed to his side.The two hadn't see each other
since there visit to Sam Francisco.That had obviously not gone well.
"Dad...",Serena said and her father smiled brightly.Grabbing his 
daughter for a hug,he spun her around.
"My little girl is home!",he said eyes full of happiness.However when 
he looked at Darien the look he had diminished quickly.Letting go of 
his daughter he shook Darien's hand."Darien,it's good to see you"
"It's..good..to see you too...sir",he stammered.A uncomfortable 
silence followed and suddenly a loud rumble was heard from Serena.
They all turned to her and she smiled covering her embarassment.
"Sorry",she apologized sheepishly."I'm just really hungry"
Her family laughed realizing how much they had missed the little things 
she did.
"Don't worry honey",her father said."You mother cooked enough for two 
armies"
"Knowing Serena that won't be enough",cracked Sammy and Serena growled
at him.Before they went into the dining room Darien took her hand.
"Nice timing",he told her.

Darien looked around the table and watched what was a normal family 
dinner.The experience was something familiar to others but to him it
was a whole different thing.Was this what it really like? Serena talked 
to her parents as they laughed at the story she told and Sammy messily 
ate his food not paying attention.This feeling of happiness inside of
him it was new.Different.He just couldn't describe it.
"Hey you're kinda quiet",said Sammy from across the table and Darien's
head snapped up.
"Huh?",he said confused and Sammy laughed loudly almost spitting his 
food out.
"Serena has really gotten to you!",he told him."Now you're spacing 
out!"
"SAMMY!SHUT UP!",Serena wailed at him."AND LEAVE DARIEN ALONE YOU 
LITTLE JERK!" She stuck her tongue out at him.
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A JERK SERENA?!",Sammy yelled back."Also if you 
haven't noticed I'm not so little anymore!"
"OH BE QUIET!"
"HAHA YOU KNEW I'D GET YOU!"
"JUST SHUT UP SAMMY!"
The racket of the two siblings made Ilene smile fondly.It had been 
awhile since she had heard the sound of fighting.Needless to say it 
made her happy.She shot a look at Darien and put her hand on his.
"Darien",she began and gave him a apologetic look."Get use to it"

As Serena went upstairs to take a look around her old room,Darien sat 
uncomfortably on the couch as Ken Tsukino sat in a reclining chair.He
occasionally shot angered looks at Darien.Darien shifted in his seat 
and glanced at the television which had some action movie on.Darien 
couldn't really concentrate on it.His mind was on something else.
"Sir",he began and Ken looked at him."Why do you hate me so much?" 
The question took Ken aback and his face seemed to softened slightly.
He sighed and looked up at Darien who sat patiently on the couch.
"Darien I don't hate you",he answered and got up.Walking over to the 
fireplace his poked at the wood.
"Well you certainly don't like me",he answered back and the man stood 
up in front of the fireplace.Ken looked at the pictures that were top 
of it.Looking at each he settled on one and took it.Sitting next to 
Darien,he saw that it was picture of Serena age three.Her blond 
pigtails were in curls and in her arms was a bunny.Ken sighed missing 
the old times and he at the moment felt old.Very old.
"For as long as I've been living",Ken said as he looked at the picture.
"I always felt that I was the only real man in Serena's life who truly 
loved her.She was my pride and joy.I remember when she was a little 
girl,she would come to me and tell me anything that happened 
to her,important or not.Before I knew it,times changed and Serena grew 
up blossoming more everyday.I wasn't the only one noticing 
though.Soon she had all these friends who she'd tell everything 
important that happened to her instead of me.Needless to say I never 
expected it to happen so fast.Then the thing that I dreaded happened,
boys began asking her out.I knew they only looked at how beautiful she
was and none of them were actually capable of knowing the real her.
Until you came along.The first time I saw her with you,Serena was 
yelling,throwing things and bawling you out practically and you took it 
soon calmly,naturally.I knew right then and there that there was 
something special between you two.A spark.You see Darien,I don't hate 
you.I'm just a jealous man.I somehow feel like I've lost her to you" 
Darien looked at the man who wasn't as scary as he made himself to be.
He was just a man who cared for his daughter,afraid that someone would 
hurt her.Also afraid that someone would take her away from him.
"By all means sir",Darien said slowly and looked at the picture.
"Serena loves you a lot.She adores you and would do anything to please 
you" He thought about how much Serena didn't want to disappoint her 
parents by telling them about what happened with her and that Brian 
jerk.
"Darien,I just want to know.Do you love my daughter?",Ken said simply.
The question took Darien by surprise.
"I do love her",he answered as he looked at the picture of 
little Serena."Every single thing about her.Every fault,every fiber 
of being in her,I love Serena with all my heart" Ken looked at the 
Darien seeing if the words he said were true.Darien's eyes were soft 
but something in them was firm.
"Darien?"
"Yes sir?"
"Tell me about you father",Ken asked and Darien's eyes filled with 
tears.
"I don't have one",Darien answered and looked down covering his 
watery eyes.Ken nodded understanding and patted Darien on the 
shoulder comforting him.
"Darien?"
"Yes sir"
"You have one now",Ken said sincerly and laughed."Also stop calling 
me sir! Call me dad"
"Okay...dad",Darien replied heisitantly at first and let out a small 
chuckle.This would take some time to get use to.The two men laughed 
at each others nervousness unaware that Serena sat on the stairs 
happy tears streaming down her lovely ivory face.

Serena watched as her family tore the wrapping off the gifts she had 
picked out for them and saw that she had pleased them.An beautiful 
charm necklace for her mother,a small frame with a poem called 
"Daddy's Girl" for her father and a video game that she knew her 
brother had wanted badly.From her parents she had gotten a small 
pinkie ring with her birthstone in it and a matching necklace from 
Sammy.One present was left unopened.The present Darien had given her.
It was in small silvery wrapping with snowflakes on it.She was needless 
to say afraid to open it.Serena didn't know why exactly yet but she 
was.Darien noticed how intently she looked at it and went took from 
under the tree.Placing it gently in her hand,he watched as she 
fingered the ribbon nervously.
"What's wrong?",He asked her and Serena shook her hand denying there 
was a problem.Carefully she tore off the wrapping and opened the small
box.Inside laid a small star locket,Serena took it gingerly from the 
package and into the small plam of her hand.Darien sat beside her on 
the couch as her parents and Sammy watched Serena's spellbound eyes.
"Go ahead.Open it." She unsnapped the clasp and lifted the cover.A 
melodic song(You know the tune!) played in the air and Serena's eyes 
filled with tears.
"I knew it",she whispered and the tears fell.
"What",Darien asked concerned.
"I knew that if I opened this gift,I'd end up crying!",she said 
laughing through her tears.Grabbing Darien for a hug,Serena wiped
her tears away and handed a box."For you" Darien opened the box and 
inside laid a journal.
"Serena,you weirdo,it has writing in it!",Sammy pointed out and
his mother hit him on the arm.
"Look in the first page",Serena said in his ear.Opening the first page
Darien took in a breath realizing who's journal it was.Professor 
Thomas Donovan.It was his mentor's journal!Darien looked at Serena in 
astonishment.
"How'd you get this?",he asked holding delicately in his hand and 
looking in the pages as if it was some important relic.
"I got in contact with his wife and told her about you",Serena 
explained."Mrs.D remembered you and knew how close you two were.She
also said she wanted you to have this.There's a lot mention of you
in there" Darien looked up at her,his eyes shining.A rush of happiness 
ran through her gazing at his blissful face.He looked up at her and 
looked straight in her eyes.Suddenly it seemed hard to breathe.
"Thank you Serena",Darien said softly.

"Mom,Dad thanks for the dinner and the presents!",Serena said as she
hugged them both at the same time.Serena whispered an "I love you" to 
her father and gave him a sweet smile.Ilene then gave Darien a kiss 
on the cheek making him turn red.Ken and Darien looked at one another 
an understanding went between them.Ken suddenly grabbed Darien into a 
fatherly hug.
"Merry Christmas...Son",he said and Ilene wiped her eyes as Serena
leaned against her smiling happily.After a final goodbye the two walked 
out the door and into the frosty air.
"So did you have a good time?",she asked him and took Darien's gloved 
hand.A blanket of snow laid on the ground as they walked.The crushing 
sound of their boots against the pavement seemed loud.
"Yeah",he said softly and turned to her."Thanks again Serena"
"No problem I-",she said and stopped.Looking up small flakes fell to 
her face making it frost her cheeks and cover her clothes.
"Ohmigosh it's snowing!"
"Isn't it great?",he asked and looked around watching the snow softly 
spread over the street.
"Absolutely beautiful",she answered and Darien looked at her.Snow 
flakes fell on her jet black eyelashes and her silvery blond hair had 
bits of snow in it.Her blue eyes sparkled in all of the whiteness.
"Yeah beautiful",he said but was looking directly at her.Serena turned 
to him.Suddenly a huge snowball hit his face.Surprise he stood dazed 
as he realized Serena had thrown snow in his face.Quickly he snapped 
out of his trance and gathered a pile.Throwing it he hit Serena on her 
back and she squealed.Serena pitched more snowballs and managed to hit 
Darien with every one on his head.Darien managed to get Serena on her 
legs and back.One actually hit the top of her head,falling all over 
her snow cap.The rest hit her face and went into her mouth.Serena
quickly spit it out.
"You're such a jerk!",she yelled and threw bunches of snow at him.He 
laughed at her defensiveness.She may have learned to throw with her 
moon tiara but he had more practice with his roses.Darien began to 
throw huge clumps at Serena hitting her successfully with each throw.
"What are you two doing?",a voice yelled and they turned to see Sammy 
in a huge bomber jacket."You could have at least waited for me!" He 
ran out and with both his hands tossing snow at both of them.
"Let's get him!",yelled Darien and Serena nodded tossing snow at his 
face as Darien got the rest of him.Ilene and Ken watched from the 
doorway content to see their kids happy and together again...until 
someone threw a snowball in Ken's face.
"KIDS!YOU'RE ALL IN BIG TROUBLE!",He yelled and ran outside to join
the war.Ilene joined them and soon all of them were were against each 
other in a snowball fight.Darien laughed loudly wondering when he had 
ever had such fun.

Entering the apartment the two shook the snow off their jackets and
laughed at the impromptu snow fight they had just come from.
"Isn't Christmas great!",Serena said as she hung her coat up and 
skipped to the balcony window watching tons of snow spread over the 
city below them.Without thought she opened the door and went out to 
look at the view.The air was cold and frigid but she didn't care,it 
felt refreshing. Out of her pocket Serena 
took out the locket Darien had given her.It was absolutely breathtaking.
The light of it made her face glow and the tune entranced her.She 
didn't realize that Darien had even joined her.
"Aren't you cold?",he asked and at that moment with him so close 
Serena was actually feeling kinda warm... Wrapping a blanket around
her shoulders,he put his freezing hands in his pockets. He shifted his
foot uncomfortably on the balcony floor."Hey listen Serena.I wanna 
thank you for..uh.letting me come to your house.It's been a long time 
since I felt I had something close of a family"
"Anytime",she responded turning to him as she shook snowflakes from her
long hair.Her blue eyes glowed as she looked up at him.That familiar 
feeling that something was gonna happen took over her systems."You
know what?I heard what you said to my dad"
"Really?",he said softly and they edged closer to one another."Serena
every single thing I said was true"
"Yeah?",Serena asked and a feeling that she was floating went through 
her feet."Everything,huh?" She wanted to kiss him so bad,but something 
in her was holding her back.If it went wrong they could never turn back 
from what they did.It would change their friendship forever and she 
was scared.Serena wasn't sure if she could ever love any guy again but
him... There was something about Darien that she couldn't deny she 
liked a lot.There faces were only inches away.She had to stop before 
this too far."Darien I know something is about to happen.It's not 
right.If we do this we'll regret it"
"Serena just close your eyes",Darien said softly in her ear.Serena 
lowered her eyelids and felt a soft brush from Darien's lips.The kiss 
took Darien from surprise but what surprised him even more was Serena 
was kissing him back....
