Hello everyone! Okay well welcome to the first
chapter of my story! I hope you enjoyed it! :)
Anyways to Meriellen5 and Midnight2050, my lovely
sisters, thank you for all you've done for me,
I love you both! To Venus, hey girlfriend! Thanks
for all those nights you stayed up and talk to me!

The Joy (Chapter One)

Mamoru woke up with a unfamiliar feeling in his stomach. The sun was 
shining through the windows beckoning him to wake up and he turned to 
give Usagi her usual 'good morning kiss'. He turned to her side with 
a charming smile which fell quickly.

She wasn't there.

He sat up in time to hear the toliet flush and the sound of groaning
coming from the bathroom. Standing up he walked over to the bathroom
and found a very white-faced Usagi near the toliet. Quickly he took
a washcloth and wet it with cold water. Sitting next to her he put it
on her small face.

"Are you alright?", He asked worriedly. Her eyes were filled with
tears and her long white nightgown was stuck to her body in sweat.
"Maybe we shouldn't do it today"

"No, we've avoided it for a week now", Usagi said and he took her
hand and squeezed it. "It's just nerves and having a baby that's
got me so nervous. It won't be that bad, right?"

"I'm here for you Usako", Mamoru told her lovingly and she looked
up at him with innocent blue eyes. "I love you" Inside of him he
felt a trickle of fear go through him. It was the same trickle he
had been feeling since Usagi had told him that she was having a
baby.

"I know", She whispered through her tears and got up. Taking
a deep breath she was steady by Mamoru's arms around her. She
look up at him and gave him an uncertain smile. "Here we go"

As they got dressed Mamoru wished that this wasn't happening.
For he and Usagi were about to do the most scariest, horrifying
thing that they would ever do.

They were going to tell her parents the BIG news.

The door to the Tsukino house opened and the couple was greeted
by the sight of Ikuko's smiling face. Mamoru almost relaxed, he
liked Ikuko, she was always nice to him, always polite. He 
wondered how polite she'd be when she found out that he had
impregnated her only daughter. Forgiving he hoped.

"Usagi! Mamoru!", She greeted them and gave each of them a 
hug. Her face was crinkled in smile as she looked them. She 
saw that her daughter was glowing and something almost looked 
different about her. Ikuko shook it off thinking that it was 
because she was young and in love. Her only hope now for her
daughter was to see a ring on her finger. "What are you two
doing here?"

"We have some news", Usagi said with a small smile. She knew
it! Ikuko almost leaped in joy, they were engaged! She knew
it would happen soon but she didn't want to let her daughter
know that the secret was already guessed so she kept quiet.

"Good news, I hope", Ikuko said. Mamoru hoped she would
consider her unmarried nineteen-year-old daughter being 
pregnant somewhat GOOD news. For he still didn't know how 
he felt about it.

"You can say that", Mamoru said with an uncertain smile. Yup,
they were really in trouble.

"Is that my Usagi?", A voice boomed from behind Mamoru. Oh yes,
now HE was in big trouble. For the voice belonged to Kenji,
Usagi's beloved father and the reason he stayed away from
Tsukino house when he began to date Usagi. To Kenji he was
just some guy that occasionally came over with his daughter.
Someone who he intended to get rid of soon. Here was his chance.

"Dad!", Usagi said and ran into his arms. He whirled her around
lovingly and then frowned when looked at Mamoru. Mamoru gave
him a please-don't-kill-me smile. 

"Mamoru", He said acknowledging him blandly. He walked toward
his wife and put an arm around her waist. "What brings you two
here?"

"Mamoru and Usagi have some NEWS for us", Ikuko said happily
as they all walked into the living room where Shingo, Usagi
little brother was playing video games.

"Hey you guys!", He said to them and then looked at his sister
in concern. "Usagi, are you okay? You look like your about to
throw up and you look kind of bloated too" Usagi turned a deep
shade of red and stuck her tongue out at him. Mamoru had to
laugh, Usagi could be such a kid sometimes.

"Yeah thanks. I love you too!", She responded and Shingo
laughed.

"You two are in trouble, aren't you?", Shingo said all of a 
sudden and it's was Mamoru's turn to turn red. Could he know?
Was it written on their faces or SOMETHING? "Like you guys
need money, right?"

"Tell us already honey!", Ikuko said and smiled at them
encouragingly. Usagi took his hand and her grip was like iron. 
"Are you lying?! Is it really bad news and you were just trying 
to not give your father a heart attack?!" Her mother looked at
them in fear, a frown on her face.

"No, it's nothing like that, it's just that..um...I'm having a baby", 
Usagi said to them slowly. "I'm pregnant" For a moment no one said a
word and Mamoru saw that all three of the Tsukino's jaws had dropped.
None of them would've noticed if a fly flew in their mouths.

"You're...pregnant?", Ikuko said quietly and then quickly looked at 
her husband whose face was suddenly red. "Okay honey, remember three 
things: heart attack, triple bypass surgery, high blood pressure, take
a deep breath-"

"I'LL KILL YOU!", Kenji yelled and Mamoru quickly found two hands 
squeezing his neck. "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO MY DAUGHTER?!" Mamoru 
found his poor body being shook as Kenji tried to squeeze every breath
from him. "I knew you were trouble!"

"DAD! LET GO OF HIM!", Usagi cried struggling to pry his hands from her
boyfriend's neck. Shingo struggled to pulled his dad away from Mamoru
and Ikuko begged her husband to have mercy. All and all they took that
he wasn't very happy about the news. "It's not all his fault!"

"Air...dying...mercy...", Mamoru gasped as he came in and out of 
conciousness. 

"Dad! Let...him...GO!" Shingo pulled his father's hands from Mamoru 
neck. Ikuko put her hand on his shoulder and made him sit down. Usagi
stood watching her eyes filled with tears and held Mamoru close to her.
Her child had almost became fatherless.

"Dad", She said chokingly and put a hand on his. He looked at his 
daughter though he was still angry. Kenji softened and was almost
a little sorry for what he did. "I know that you're angry right
now but it is NOT Mamoru's fault. I had a much part in it as he
did" The tears fell from her eyes. "The point is that I love him
and I am happy to be having his child. So if you're gonna be mad,
be mad at BOTH of us" Kenji found himself stroking his daughter's
hair.

"I'm sorry Usagi, I overreacted", Kenji told her. "It's just hard to
believe that you've grown up. But no matter what I love you" Usagi
hugged him tightly.

"I'm gonna be a grandmother!", Ikuko cried and Usagi jumped into her
arms. She began to cry loudly. "I'm SO happy!" Ikuko then hugged
Mamoru who had began to get his color back. "Congratulations...papa!"
Papa. Now that was new.

"I can't believe you got someone pregnant and of all the people it 
had to be my SISTER!", Shingo gasped. "Hey but this mean I won't be 
the youngest of the family! I'd hug you but well...I'm not like that 
and as we can all tell neither are you" Shingo actually relished in 
the thought of being an uncle but well he wasn't about to tell Usagi.
Usagi was practically beaming and Mamoru loved to see her happy.
Then Ikuko dropped the bomb.

"So when are you two getting married?"

As they neared Hikawa Shrine, where Rei and her husband Yuuichirou 
Kumada lived, Mamoru looked at Usagi. She was practically grinning 
from ear to ear, how lovely she looked. He put an arm around her and 
she gazed up at him adoringly. Their faces fell however when they saw 
that Rei had invited the whole group over. It seemed that even Mirichu,
Haruka and Setsuna had made it. They hardly saw those three at all.

"What is everyone doing here?", Usagi asked in surprise. "I 
specifically told Rei that I wanted to talk to her and Yuuichirou 
alone" He tightened his hold around her.

"Usako, maybe we shouldn't tell them just yet", Mamoru suggested and 
Usagi frowned at him, a hurt look in her eyes. It seemed like he was
almost ashamed of it. She however nodded and drew back the tears 
threatning to fall.

"You're right, afterall it's bad luck to talk about the baby in the 
first month", She said quietly and they continued up the steps when
they were greeted by Minako Aino. Her blue eyes were excited and her
blond hair bounced behind her. It was almost obvious that she wanted
to hear the big news. Well she would just have to WAIT.

"Hey Usagi! So what's this big news that you wanted Rei to know?", She
asked as she led them into the Shrine. *CRASH* "As you can see Miya is
awake" Miya just happened to be Rei's two-year-old daughter. A somewhat
junior terrorist.

"NO! NOT MY DIAMOND BRACELET! ANYTHING BUT THE BRACE-" *FLUSH* They saw
Makoto's forlorn face come into view and between her pinched fingers 
hung Miya's dress which she happened to be wearing at the moment. "Get
your little MONSTER away from me Rei!" Rei scrambled over and took
her daughter.

"Miya! How many times have I told you NOT to flush anything down the
toliet! Honey, can you take care of that?", Rei asked her husband.

"I'll try", Yuuichirou responded and then stopped to greet Mamoru and
Usagi. "Hey you guys! Make yourselves at home, it's a little messy 
in there, Miya got into my sheet music and tore it all up" He then
ran off to see if he could rescue Makoto's bracelet.

"Thank God I don't have kids!", Makoto said after saying her hellos to
them. "Imaging having a monster like Miya!" Usagi grinned weakly along
with Mamoru. If she only knew.

"Is that my Odango?", Haruka teased and she hugged her friend. "How
are you doing? You're looking more beautiful everyday" Usagi blushed
prettily and then hugged Mirichu.

"There's something different about you", Mirichu said and looked into
Usagi's eyes. "A glow, there's a definite glow to you"

"I have to agreed", Setsuna said. "You look older...more mature, 
you're not the same Usagi we left behind" Haruka and Mirichu had 
been traveling, touring the country because of Mirichu's prominent 
violinist career and Haruka's racing. Setsuna had been living in a 
beautiful apartment with Hotaru, she had been busy with her fashion 
designing and was well on her way to her own clothing line. Hotaru 
was still in high school.

"I'm not different!", She protested the color rising to her cheeks. 
"You just haven't seen me in awhile. Where's Ami?"

"Over here", She called coming from another room. Surprisingly she 
wore a loose white T-shirt with a navy blue skirt. She held the 
matching top out. "Apparently Miya doesn't like mashed peas" They 
saw that a huge green stain was right in the middle of the shirt. Ami 
pushed up her glasses and went to kiss Usagi on the cheek. "You look 
a little pale Usa? You okay?" Everyone gathered into the living room 
and it was obvious that they were waiting for Usagi to talk.

"Well since Usagi has some good news, maybe me and Yuuichirou should 
tell everyone our news", Rei said and her husband put a loving arm
around her. Miya however was not with her parents, she was standing
right next to Mamoru chewing a cookie. Her face scrunched in disgust.

"Yuck! This is disgusting!", Miya declared and quickly spit the food
out. On Mamoru's shoe.

"Ohmigod! Miya!", Yuuichirou said. "I thought you promised me not to
do that ANYMORE" He took her in his arms and gave Mamoru an apologetic
look. He nodded with a smile. Afterall that's how kids acted, right?
All kids...

"So what's this news?", Minako said. "I'm dying here!" She was never
the patient type. Rei looked at her husband and he nodded.

"Well...I'm pregnant!", Rei said and burst into a glorious smile.
Everyone jumped up in happiness and congratulated them. Ami asked 
about her morning sickness, Makoto hugged her friend profusely,
Setsuna talked making her some new maternity clothes and Mirichu
told Rei that classical music could raise a kid's IQ. Haruka
patted Yuuichirou on the back like he had done all the work
or something. Mamoru and Usagi stood silent. Mamoru practically
had to pick her jaw up from the floor and pushed her to Rei. Usagi
ran into her friend's arms while Mamoru shook Yuuichirou's hand.

"Oh gosh! Rei, I'm so happy for you! Another baby!", Usagi said
as they hugged. From behind Rei's back she sighed in relief of
not having to be telling the same news at the same time.

"Now what's your news?", Rei asked with a smile.

"Just...nothing...I just missed everyone that's all", Usagi said to
them. "I had to make something up or I'd never see you guys!"

"We missed you too!", Minako said happily. "It does feel good to 
see everyone again!" She had been busy trying to become an actress. 
Audition, after audition, after audition. No bites yet but she was
getting there. Minako had missed them desperately and had been glad
to see them.

"Well now that Rei's pregnant again. We can all take a break to take
care of her and help out", Makoto declared. She had been working on
opening a resturant but now was just happy to be with them. She needed
to get away for awhile. They all realized how much they had been too
busy for each other and this was their chance to be with each other
again.

"Okay, let's all take our sabatacle", Haruka said. They all began to
discuss their upcoming plans and what they would do when they heard
quick footsteps coming up the stairs. In came Hotaru, a petite teenager
of sixteen. She had piercing violet eyes and raven hair that fell to 
her shoulders, she was also panting as she came to them.

"Usagi! You're PREGNANT?!", Hotaru suddenly said. How did she know? 
Mamoru slapped his forehead. They had forgotten that Shingo and Hotaru
were dating, he must have told her.

And everyone's eyes were on them.

"Why didn't you tell us?", Rei said quietly and then burst into tears.
She gathered Usagi in a hug. "This is so GREAT!" Usagi had never seen
Rei SO emotional, must be from the pregnancy. It was probably why she
was crying too.

"I KNOW!", She sobbed too. Two crying pregnant women. What a day.

"Way the go BUDDY!", Yuuichirou sat and hit Mamoru on the back.
HARD on the back. Mamoru gasped.

"Why did you keep this from us?", Ami said. "We could've helped"

"Well news doesn't sound great second time around", Usagi told them
and they all sat down. In front of them was a plate of food which
she and Rei ate quickly. Mamoru's eyes met Usagi's and he looked
at her with a weary smile.

"That's shows us that we shouldn't keep secrets from them!", Usagi
said to him before his lips met hers.
