Hello my darlings! Gomen on my lateness on this story!
School has demanded I give them my full attention or
fail miserably my second year of high school. Anyways
to Meriellen5 and Midnight2050, my thanks on being

On February 7th, the Japanese seiyuu, Shiho Niiyama, passed 
away of a leukemia like disease. She was 29 years old. Best known 
for her role as Seiya Kou/Sailor Starfighter from Bishoujo Soldier
Sailormoon.

My story is dedicated to her. May she rest in peace.

Then You Look At Me (Chapter Six: Promises)

For awhile everyone stood quiet, Usagi cradled Chibi-Usa in her arms and
held her close. She kept her eyes calm however knowing that danger was
somewhere out there. Waiting. Perhaps for her. PROBABLY for her.

"Who wrote this?", Mamoru demanded and almost yanked Ami's arm off as
he grabbed the small computer. His eyes met Usagi's and he calmed. Looking 
at her tranquil face made realize what he was doing. Mistake Number One: 
Never let the enemy know you're scared. He gave the computer back and went 
to his family holding both of them close. "Can it be traced?"

"No, I just tried", Ami replied without looking up from the computer. "The 
person is an excellent computer hacker which is NOT good" She sighed. 
"Give me a few minutes" She was joined by Urawa who had come with her 
and Yaten. Between the three they all began to try to grab some information 
about the hacker. How weird it was for Ami to be stuck between the two guys 
she had had crushes on in her past.

"I want everyone to search the house and outside of it", Minako said 
as she rubbed her lower back. "Make sure there are no sensors, cameras, 
listening devices, etc. Rei and Yuuichirou take the upstairs, Haruka and
Mirichu transform and get on the roof to check up there, Hotaru and Setsuna 
around the outside of the house, Makoto and Shinozaki around the basement 
and me and Yaten will take the rooms in here...that is if I can make it" 
Minako sat down and put a hand to her forehead. Her boyfriend
sat beside taking her hand.

"Darling, are you all right?", He asked, Minako who had paled and was now 
glistening with sweat smiled at him.

"I'm okay", She said. "I'm just having a baby"

Forty-eight hours later Minako delivered a baby girl. They named 
her Akiko which meant 'light and bright'. Akiko from the moment 
she was born seemed to crack a smile and her daddy Yaten was given 
the pleasure of being the first person to see it. That is right 
before he passed out.

"Baby, my baby", Minako whispered as she held the child in her arms
and her lips quivered. "Hello, my love, I'm your mom" Fresh tears
fell from her lovely fave. Usagi and Mamoru walked in along with 
Chibi-Usa. "Usa, I'm a mom"

"Welcome to the club", She said in a hushed voice. "Chibi-Usa, say 
hello to Akiko" Putting Chibi-Usa on the bed, she crawled near Minako 
and the baby.

"Baby?", She asked questioningly.

"Yes Chibi-Usa, that Auntie Minako's baby", Mamoru said.

"Ohh", Chibi-Usa said in awe. Leaning she kissed the child on the forehead. 

"She smells good" Akiko opened her eyes and revealed a 
perfect pair of cornflower blue eyes surrounded by a long set of 
jet black eyelashes. They were all in awe. "She's pretty" Chibi-Usa
laughed and her eyes twinkled in excitement.

"Did you find the hacker yet?", Minako inquired suddenly and Usagi's eyes 
darkened. How different Usagi was now, still fun-loving and bright but such 
a regalness and serious look shone in her. It commanded attention 
and to never let her instructions go undone.

"No", Mamoru said. "The house is all clear, no messages and no youmas or 
anything since you've gone into labor"

"Whoever it is must want to fight all of us", She said wryly with a bitter 
smile. "Nice enough to wait for me to recover" Minako looked
at Yaten who was slumped in a chair passed out. "Will somebody PLEASE
wake my boyfriend?"

"Let him sleep", Mamoru argued. "He won't be sleeping for a LONG time" He 
thought of the many three o'clock feedings he had done.

"That's true", Minako said and looked at him fondly. "I'll never get rid 
of him now!" She however truly loved the attention she got from Yaten and 
though she blushed at the thought she really did love him. She wanted to 
grow old with him and have his children.

"I'm hungry", Chibi-Usa whined and jumped in her father's arm. Nodding at 
Usagi, Mamoru excused him and Chibi-Usa so that they could get some
ice cream. Usagi sat on the hospital bed and put a hand on Minako's.
For a moment they only smiled.

"Minako, I'm so proud of you", Usagi said after a moment. "Don't worry, 
whoever this bastard is, I'm not gonna let him hurt you or the baby. Rest 
up" Minako looked at her friend in admiration, how she had grown.
Usagi was turning into the queen she was suppose to be.

"I love you Usa, thanks for being my friend", Minako replied. "Don't worry 
bout me, I can take it from here" She nodded for Usagi had a strong faith 
in her friend.

"I know Minako, I know"

Yaten and Seiya looked through the glass window as the new daddy tapped
at the window. Akiko looked at her daddy with her bright eyes and she
tried in vain to remove the pink hat that covered her blonde tuft of hair. 
She cooed and kicked happily when she saw both of them.

"Everything about her seems so like Minako", Seiya commented. "I don't know 
exactly what she got from you!" Suddenly the baby's face scrunched
as she started to cry. "Never mind"

"Because I'm happy I'll let that slide", Yaten said as he admired his 
daughter. "You on the other hand aren't so happy" Seiya turned to look
at him. "Don't lie to me"

"Why would I be unhappy?", Seiya asked in a quiet, hurt voice. 

"I know you still love her", He responded. "She's married Seiya, she has 
a child"

"Don't you think I know that?!", Seiya said angry. "But you don't spend 
your nights alone Yaten. You don't have dream about her in your arms and
you weren't the wishing at the wedding that you were the groom. And you
weren't the one that's wishing that the child she had was yours. Don't
tell me to be happy"

"I just don't want you to keep wanting something you can't have", 
Yaten said. "I know you love her but I know you love Mamoru too. 
You won't hurt them but don't hurt yourself" He put a hand on 
Seiya's shoulder. "You don't deserve this"

"Fate has dealt me a bad hand", Seiya told him in a morose voice, his 
eyes bright with tears. "I will always love her, it is my fate, it's
what's meant to be"

Walking through the palace hall Princess Serenity clasped her hands
together and took in a deep breath. Entering the throne room she
bowed to her mother and noticed that two men stood beside her.
Her eyes met the one of the dark-haired one and she felt a warm
feeling.

"Darling, this is prince of Earth, Endymion and his cousin Thanatos", 
Her mother informed her and Serenity looked at the light-haired man. 
Nodding she curtsied and stood before them. "Thanatos has asked for 
your hand in marriage and I decided that you two shall be a good 
match" Her head shot up in dismay. Wait this wasn't right! She wasn't 
supposed to be marrying him! 

"No...", She said quietly to herself. "I won't"

"Serenity, this is what is and what will always be. You are destined 
to marry and you WILL marry him", Her mother pressed on and Serenity's
eyes met Endymion's. 

And she knew that she would marry THAT man. It was fate.

So Serenity bowed her head and Thanatos took her arm leading her away 
though her blue eyes remained on Endymion's.

Usagi opened her eyes and the bright moonlight shone from the window.
Beside her laid Mamoru and tousled his dark hair affectionately. Her
ears perked when she heard what had to be Chibi-Usa who was wailing
like crazy. Walking into the nursery she picked the child and in alarm
felt the child's hot skin.

"Mommy...it hurts", Chibi-Usa said and turning on a small lamp 
she saw that Chibi-Usa was pale green and was drenched in sweat. 
Her eyes were red and the child was in an obvious pain. 

"Baby where does it hurt?", Usagi asked scared. She cradled her 
in her arms and rocked her.

"What's going on?", Mamoru said coming into the room. He gasped at 
how sickly his daughter looked and it seemed that she was losing 
weight by the second. Chibi-Usa's small frame now seemed frail.

"Mamo-chan, she's sick", Usagi said and tears filled her eyes in 
distress. "Now just fever sick but really sick. It looks like she
dying" Mamoru took her and putting her in her bed he examined her.
All the symptoms didn't seem like anything regular. 

"Call Ami and the others we're going to the hospital", He said and
she nodded. Suddenly the crying ceased and Usagi picked her daughter 
up. It looked as if Chibi-Usa had stopped breathing. Their eyes met 
and Mamoru scrambled to call the others.

"Chibi-Usa! CHIBI-USA!", Usagi shouted and put her hands to her mouth 
as she burst into a loud sob.
