Okay well hopefully no one had abandoned this story
and I know I'm not that good. So anyways thanks for

WARNING:
This story is way into the alternate reality point.
Be prepared for something very different. It starts
out with Rei but Usagi and Mamoru are in this story.
This fic is completely different and some of the 
things you may read are for more mature readers so 
I am warning you to stop reading this story if you 
are not the appropriate age or maturity for it. This 
will contain some sexual content but it is NOT a lemon. 
Ages may be different among other things.

Time of Your Life (Chapter Five)

"I told Rei my story", Usagi told Mamoru the next afternoon. Sitting 
in the bathtub she chewed on a nail seeing if it was uneven. Mamoru 
who was sitting on a small stool next to her looked up in surprise.

"Really?", He said and took a sponge to wipe her back. "How'd she 
take it?" Her hair which was bounded up started to let tendrils fall 
and the steam made her face gleam. 

"Amazingly well Mamoru, your sister is more grown up than you think", 
Usagi remarked. "I feel completely different, I just can't understand 
it, but I feel it inside, there was always this part of me that never 
allowed me to be fully happy and now it's okay" Usagi sat silence for
a moment and Mamoru watched in awe, she looked so serene. "It is the
greatest feeling in the world" She turned to look at him and the water
swished.

"I have never seen you so beautiful", Mamoru said softly.

"Thank you", Usagi replied and put a finger to her lips with a 
smile. "You keep saying things like that and I might fall in love 
with you"

The two laughed at the joke.

She turned away thinking that it might not even be a joke.

"NO!", Rei said as she shot up from her sleep. So many images in this
dream, all of them confusing, frightening, and sad. Rei found herself
sobbing, a loneliness she awoke with filling her heart with sadness.
Make the pain stop...make it stop...

"Rei?" Usagi rushed to hug the girl who was shaking violently and 
talking incoherently telling something to stop. She got frightened
and could only hold the girl tighter. "Rei, talk to me..." The girl
just kept on crying and talking nonsense. "What's wrong? Please tell
me" 

"Why did they leave alone? I'm alone", Rei cried out to herself. Usagi
felt a chill as she looked into the girl's eyes, it was like she wasn't
there. 

"You're not alone, I'm here, Mamoru's here and Tami", Usagi said in 
her ear holding Rei and rocking her. "Shh...it's alright...we're here, 
we're not leaving" The crying became a small whimper but the breaths 
coming from the girl were shallow.

"Usa?", The girl said in a timid voice. "What happened?" Usagi looked
at her in surprise. So she did go into a trance.

"You kept on crying, telling me you were alone", Usagi informed her. 
"And don't you scare me like that ever again!" Rei's eyes looked tired
and so she tucked the girl in. "Go to sleep"

"Am I going crazy? Sometimes I can't remember what I do and what I 
say, there are so many memories and images in my head but I can't 
remember any of them", She whispered. "I get scared sometimes"

"We all get a little scared sometimes", Usagi said. "It's sometimes 
the only way to deal with things"

Usagi walked back into the bedroom and saw Mamoru holding Tamlyn in his
arms. He looked up at her and saw that she was angry at him. Taking the
baby back to the crib he approached her.

"What happened?", He asked worriedly.

"Damn it Mamoru I won't do your dirty WORK!", Usagi yelled. "That 
is your sister in there and as much as I love her it is YOUR job to help
her when she having some sort of emotional breakdown" Her eyes filled
with tears. "I am so sick of your excuses, she needs you, you're the
only family she has and if you don't talk to her and tell her what
you feel then she'll go crazy"

"No, she won't", Mamoru said relaxed but his insides felt cold.

"You weren't in there, it took me fifteen minutes to get her to 
actually talk to me, all she could do was cry and babble about being 
left alone", Usagi said. "Me and Tami are not enough. Rei needs you, 
it's a matter of mental health"

"Rei is going to be okay", He assured her.

"No she won't and until you can get it through that thick skull of 
yours, you can sleep on the COUCH"

Rei stirred her coffee and drowsily let a yawn fall from her mouth. It
taken hours for her to fall back asleep and in the semi-sleep she was 
having she heard voices of her past long forgotten. Who were they, how
come she couldn't remember?

"How are you feeling?", Mamoru asked as he walked into the room 
quietly. He had realized that he couldn't shut her out, the feeling 
of guilt kept him from saying what he felt however.

"Better than before", She answered bitterly.

Usagi walked in and unlike many a morning when she would burst in 
energetic and quickly whipped up something today Usagi carrying
Tamlyn simply poured herself some coffee, sat down and grumbled
to herself.

"Morning sweetie, how did you sleep?", She asked.

"Fine", Mamoru said.

"I wasn't talking to YOU", Usagi informed him and glared. "I was 
talking to Rei"

"I'm feeling better, Rei told her. "I was thinking of going for a 
walk...and asking Yuuichirou to come with me" She blushed.

"I think it's a great idea", Usagi said and winked.

"You would, he's YOUR brother", Mamoru said crankily.

"What was that suppose to mean?", Usagi countered.

The two looked at each other angrily and in their eyes the fire of a 
fight began to brew-

"WEI!"

"Huh?", Usagi said and looked at Tamlyn who was holding her arms out 
for Rei to take her. "Baby, did you just say REI?"

"WEI!"

"Ohmigod, she did! She's talking", Mamoru said in amazement, his face 
burst into a handsome face. Turning to his sister he looked at her 
with happiness in eyes. "You're her first word"

"Tami, I'm so happy for you!" Rei took her in her arms and whirled 
her.

"Figures she wouldn't say Mom or Dad", Usagi joked. Mamoru and Usagi 
gathered their daughter and Rei into a tight hug not noticing that
the embrace included them hugging each other.

Rei however who stood in the middle felt a sad, emptiness in her heart
that she couldn't quite place.

Yuuichirou and Rei walked through the park that warm day as they
pushed little Tami in the stroller. She couldn't help but wonder
how she kept ended with somewhere and found herself falling only
SLIGHTLY for him.

"What are you thinking?", She asked him as they sat on a bench
and he looked at her laughing. They sat Tamlyn in between them
and the baby happily sucked her thumb.

"I'm pretending that Tamlyn is our baby", He said.

"That would make us married", Rei said in realization. She blushed 
heavily. "What makes you think I'd marry you?"

"That's true, if I kissed you I guess you'd push me away", Yuiichirou 
said sadly. "I'm not exactly that 'Knight in Shining Armor' kind of 
guy"

"I don't need a Knight or anyone handsome or smart" Rei kissed him 
softly. "I just need you" 

The burst into a fit of laughter and Yuuichirou happily kiss her on 
the lips.

Usagi sat on the bed that same afternoon on the television the sounds 
of a anime theme blasted. Rei had decided to take Tami along to the 
park with her and Yuuichirou. She on the other hand was spending a 
quiet day
in her room painting her toenails.

Now this was very juvenile.

How different it was with no crying on the sounds of Rei humming to a 
tune she had heard. Mamoru never talked so it was like being by herself
anyways. As if out of nowhere he walked into the room and they eyed 
one another suspicious of what the other person was doing.

Mamoru edged towards and taking her arm kissed her hand, her shoulder 
and before letting their lips meet looked her straight in the eye. Her
breath felt hot against his afraid and at the same time wanting.

Their lips met.

A warm feeling came from her insides, her stomach and their breaths 
became heavier. She laid on the bed and he sat next to her on the
edge. Letting their hands entwine and their kisses become heavier
it became quiet. The moment became small and sacred, one to keep
in their hearts, in their memories.

A door banged and Rei called to them from below the stairs.

And this time Usagi pushed he away.

"I have to go help Rei", She said and left Mamoru, Usagi didn't bother
to look back.

"No, no, NO!", Rei screamed and found herself again crying to herself 
loudly. The door opened and a bright light poured from the hallway
into the room. Mamoru rushed in and sat on her bed.

"Rei, what's wrong?", He asked worried and gathered her in his arms.

"Why did they leave me? WHY DOES EVERYONE LEAVE?", Rei sobbed to herself 
and he could only hold her tighter. "Why does everyone have to go away?"
Mamoru's eyes filled with tears.

"Tell me what to do Rei, I'll do whatever you want as long as you're 
okay", He said quietly.

"Tell me the truth", Rei cried quietly and looked at him darkly. Her 
eyes were old, sad but innocent. "What happen to our parents? Why did 
they give me away?" 

Usagi came in and sat next to Mamoru taking his hand. He looked at her
and she nodded.

"I think it's time you know", He said and began his story.
