Grown in Mexico, coffee beans are exported worldwide so it is no surprise that this is a popular drink. The Mexican-style coffee is sweet, it has the strong flavor of coffee mixed in with cinnamon and the piloncillo or unrefined sugar. (Brown sugar works well as a subsitute) Some version of this drink include cloves or/and chocolate. Traditionally, you can brew this coffee in an earthenware or using the olla but you can use a sacuepan or drip-style coffee maker instead.
