Hello again and welcome to little know fanfiction, " The Only Battle
Worth Fighting For or, The Only Battle Worth Fighting" I changed my mind on
the title after I sent the fic to be posted, oopsie. . . anyhow, on to business.
I don't own Rayearth, CLAMP, Fuu and Ferio, or anything else that appears in
this story. I did write the story however, and if for whatever reason you want
this story to be posted on your page, please contact me in advance. Do any of
you read Animerica magazine? Well, if you do then you know that Fuu and Ferio
were selected as one of the ten cutest couples in anime! ( I think the got 7th,
but hey, that's still better than 8th! ) Just thought I share. By now you all
are most likely wondering where Umi is, truthfully, I don't know, don't really
care, nope, not me, no way Jose, couldn't-care-less. Before she left she said
something about 'meeting guy' and 'lunch' and ' stop the penguins', but that's
the only hint I have to Umi's disappearance.
Can YOU find Umi? Can I find Umi? There is only one way to find out, wait for my
next Author's Notes, I like to put stuff like this in, just to make sure people
read this thing.
Oh! And from this point fourth, this fanfiction is dedicated to Suzanami,
friend, critic, and all around nice person, visit her page, please? I'll be your
friend, so will the weasels, and you don't want to anger them . . .

And thanks again to all of you who wrote me, I'm sorry I couldn't get replies
out to all of you, this month has been hectic, first the preparation for the
anime con, (Katsucon up in Crystal City, did any of you go?) and yesterday my
waterbed sprung a leak and my entire floor is sopping wet, so I have to sleep in
the freezing cold basement. Whoop-de-do.

The picture on the wall rattled against the frame that held it, the glass
reflecting the looks of curiosity and worry on the faces of the girls who
inhabited the dwelling. The breeze that passed through the once opened doorway
ruffled the sheets on the cleanly made bed. The door had been slammed shut, now
this wasn't an unusual even in the egg-shaped cabin, after all Umi lived there.
What would astound onlookers the most is the one who slammed the door. The
usually meek and prude, mousy girl, with glasses that slipped down her nose and
hair that wouldn't obey the numerous gels, sprays, and mousses that had waged
war against that unruly mass of curls below her chin. Fuu reached her hand up to
her face, index finger drawn and gently pushed her glasses up her slightly
glowing nose, (women don't sweat, we glow.) back up to their normal resting
place, directly placed in front of her now glaring eyes.
Hikaru and Umi looked on in amazement, never before had such an event been
witnessed, Fuu . . . angry? Umi, wide eyed in amazement opened her mouth to
speak, but no words would come fourth. She closed her mouth immediately and
looked back to the Goh (pronounced- go) board in front of her, twiddling the
black half marble in her hand, and gently nudging Hikaru's foot under the table
with her own urging her to speak. Hikaru cleared her thought and placed a
handful of her white Goh stones on the table and looked at the girl by the door,
an unfamiliar sneer on her usually placid face.
"Umm, Fuu-chan, sweetie? What's wrong?"
Fuu turned her head towards Hikaru and Umi's direction and took a shaky breath
before giving an almost silent response.
"Men . . . are . . . scum," Fuu growled, turning tail and opening the
door again and once again, slamming it loudly behind her.
"Well, that was . . . fun?" Hikaru shrugged at Umi's question and
placed a soft smile upon her face gently motioning her head at the game board.
"Your turn, Umi"

Ferio smiled as the thoughts of his and Fuu's first meeting flowed through his
head. 'She hadn't been gone even an hour and you already miss her, your getting
weak Ferio old-boy'. Ferio sighed and cursed under his breath when his eyes
gazed over the communicator. How was he going to fix that? He didn't feel like
making a trip to Autozam at this point in his life, he'd prefer if he didn't
have to go the again, It was to crowded, noisy, polluted, and not to mention
expensive. He had gone once a few years back, he spent all his money the fist
day and had to get a part time job to pay his way back to Cephiro. Not that it
was hard to get a job, the people of Autozam were always looking for able bodied
young people to move stuff for them, everyone over there moved things with
'mental energy', but the elderly had trouble moving things on their own, so they
hired 'lifting men' to do it for them. Ferio also didn't like being over there
for more reasons that just the price, no matter how many times he saw it he
would never get used to the sight of random objects floating, it was far to odd
for him. Not to mention people a quarter of his age wrinkled and chair-bound was
rather depressing to him, imagine, having you life end before you would turn two
hundred!
He had also been to Chizeta and Faren; all they had given him were a nice tan
and a decorative fan, that he had no clue how he was roped into buying. He
usually went on travel to just come home and realize how much he missed it, but
now, the sad thing was, he would give anything to be away from the crumbling
Cephiro. He thought about asking Fuu to leave with him, but he knew she
wouldn't, and couldn't. She was a Magic Knight and had a mission to complete,
but after, maybe she would then. That was why he followed and trailed and
rescued and had been rescued. To be near her, so when he asked her, she might
not say no.

Fuu was convinced Mokona had the ability of being able to teleport itself at
will. One moment she was alone and then, Poof! The little fluff-ball was Puu-ing
softly as it hopped behind her. The bunny-thing was just full of mysteries. Fuu
sighed and shook her head, back to the important matters at hand. She was
beginning to worry about Ferio. Fuu reached into the seam pocket of her skirt
and pulled out the gem her had given her.
As angry as she was at him she could always forgive him. Damn. She was weak. She
knew it, he knew it, and used it too. Strange thing was Ferio would have usually
called her by now, so why hadn't he? Was he upset at her too, for pushing him
into the water? Maybe, Ferio had more mood swings than Umi sometimes, and that
made him unpredictable, very unpredictable. But even with that spontaneity, she
loved him. Yes, Fuu had admitted to that a while ago, but still tried to deny
it, though not as forcefully as she once had. Fuu loved his cocky, arrogant
smile, his nonchalant way of dealing with anything that came his way. She just
loved Him.
Pulling back branches and ducking under the next set of them that were blocking
her way, she stopped and slipped off her shoes and tugged off her socks,
depositing them at the base of a nearby tree, she stepped onto the sandy shore
and stared at the figure laying on the large rock before her.
"You're late" Fuu's eyes widened a bit in surprise, but as her
rational mind took over she realized Ferio must of heard all of the commotion
from her walk here, not to mention Mokona's constant Puu-ing that had only now
ended, on account of it's disappearance again.
"Excuse me?" Fuu question, a bit puzzled by his statement. Ferio sat
up and turned to her, a slight grin visible on his face.
"I said, 'You're late', I was expecting you to be here sooner. Ah well, why
spoil a good meeting? Come over here," Ferio's grin widened as he saw Fuu
begin to smile. He patted a spot on the rock next to him, beckoning her to him.
Fuu was only too happy to oblige, 'Like a puppy' she thought.
Fuu began to walk towards him, hair still letting an occasional droplet of water
fall from the tips. Ferio reached a hand down to Fuu, feeling utter bliss and
contentment as his hand wound around hers, allowing him to pull her up onto the
rock. Fuu curled her legs under her and leaned back on her palms. Ferio reached
a hand out to her cheek, gently tracing a path down to her chin, then twirling a
strand of her damp curly hair in his fingers.
"Your wet," Ferio stated simply. A grin erupted on Fuu's face and
laugh escaped her lips as she threw herself at Ferio, wrapping her arms around
his neck and nuzzling her face into his shoulder.
Ferio stumbled back a bit at the sudden impact of the girl hurling towards him,
but caught him self and her, entwining one arm around her waist and combing the
other into her hair. Ferio's eyes softened as he looked at her and he let out a
sigh of relief, Fuu didn't hate him. Thank-you Pillar. He nuzzled his face in to
her hair, leaving wet streaks on his cheeks and nose. Ferio's hand that had once
resided in her hair now moved down to massage the small of Fuu's back, rumpling
the fabric of her blazer as he did so.
Fuu pulled back from the embrace and motioned with her hand to Ferio's shirt.
"Now you are too." Ferio gave a hearty chuckle and pulled Fuu back
towards him, gently resting his forehead on hers.
"Yeah, I guess I am." His hand had moved from her back to her neck and
tenderly pushed it forward. Fuu gasped, but smiled as she realized what was
about to happen. Fuu's eyes softened and she reached her hands up to both sides
of his head and drew his face towards her, and then it happened. Their lips met.
A tingle ran down their spines as their lips tugged and played with each other,
both smiling all the while. Fuu and Ferio pulled back gently gazing lovingly at
one and other, once again resting their foreheads together.
"I love you, Ferio"
"I know, and I love you more, Fuu-chan," Ferio said, letting his lips
graze her nose.
"So."
"So?"
"What do we do now?"
"I . . . I don't know, I'm kinda' winging it here, I was hoping you had an
idea," Ferio joked, smiling as Fuu let out a giggle.
"Sorry, don't have one . . . yet . . ."
"Well, I had one, but I don't think you would agree to it, Love"
"Oh, and what is it," Fuu inquired leaning back a bit, so she could
look into his eyes.
"We've know each other a while, right?"
"About three months, I guess . . ."
"What's a 'month'?"
"Never mind, go one with you idea Ferio"
"Well, we've known each other three 'months', as you have said, and I loved
you all the while, hell, even before I met you I love you Fuu. All my life I
spent looking for my life mate, and in the Forrest of Silence even before I saw
you I loved you. It was just something about your presence that drew me too you,
and you have been on my mind constantly since then. I have also tried to show
you that too, if I would have known all I had to do was steal you clothes . .
.," Ferio stopped as Fuu nudged him in the ribs.
"Hey, I'm still a bit upset about that, now, get back to the 'I love you'
and 'life mate' stuff"
"Okay, okay . . . ," He complied rubbing the spot where Fuu's elbow
came in contact too, even though it didn't hurt, he just wanted some pity, which
he received when Fuu whispered a gentle 'sorry'.
"Anyhow, as I was saying, I have tried to show you how much you mean to me,
remember when I cooked you breakfast?"
"That was food?"
"Shush you, I'm not done yet. Besides, that's not the point."
"It was also very sweet, but don't do it again, I'm not really into self
mutilation," Fuu kidded.
"Ha ha, very funny. Now, where were we, again . . . ah yes, well anyhow, I
think you loved me to all that time, but were just to stubborn and bone-headed
to admit it. I guess what I'm trying to say is that, after your mission is
completed, will you be . . . well . . . mine?" Fuu gave him a strange look.
"Yours . . . how?"
"Live with me, and spend the rest of our days together, just you and
me."

My goodness . . . did I actually make . . . a cliffhanger? I have never done
this before, mostly because I hate them, but that's not the point, wow. Weird.
Anyhow, write me.
