Storyline
Once upon a time,as in every good fairy tale begins, there were two kingdoms.One was a bright and glorious place, called the Moon Kingdom. This kingdom was in league with the other 8 planets of the Sol system. Each had it's own princess who served as that's planet's protector. These senshi, and this league, existed in a time called the Silver Millenium,which existed nearly a thousand years ago. The only planet still independant of this alliance was the planet Earth.Our story begins on this planet, during this golden age...
A force exists, that protects the Earth, nutures it. Many,many people before us have revered it as a deitie. Perhaps it is by this belief that She was born.She has been known by many different peoples,and by many different names: Demeter, the Green Mother, the Goddess...but to the people around which this story revolves,she was known as Gaia.
In a small village,very near the castle of Prince Endymion, there existed a small group of people. They served and worshiped the Earth's spirit, striving to remain in peace. These priests and priestesses were the disciples of the Lady Gaia. Recruited for their innate magic abilities Gaia had saved several from early deaths, or traumatic childhoods. They were happy, and hoped nothing would part them. All were great friends, their loyalty to each other and their Lady unwavering...
But the end came all too soon, to their commune, to their happiness, to their lives. Queen Beryl, in her quest for power on both the Earth and the Moon, ordered that anyone suspected of aligning themselves with the Silver Millenium was to be destroyed. And so,the commune was burned to the ground, Gaia's Chosen killed. They fought bravely, but their powers were only beginning to grow,and stood nary a chance against Beryl's seasoned soldiers. Gaia, sensing something amiss, arrived at the village, only to find everyone murdered. In her fury and sorrow, she killed the remaining soldiers. Quietly, she gathered the souls of her dead chosen, saving them for another life,when she would need them again. She couldn't let their story end so soon...
