 Aioria
was trained by his brother Aioros, and was very close to his older brother.
When Aioros was accused of kidnapping Athena, his younger brother was persecuted,
and as a result can be very bitter at times. He went directly from being
a trainee to Gold Saint. Leo Aioria has spent his entire life in Sanctuary,
and does not particularly like what the Master he has sworn to serve has
done to it. However, without Athena, there is no other he will acknowledge
as leader, so he does nothing to stop the evil that results. He was very
fond of his brother and reacts badly when Pegasus Seiya first wears the
Sagittarius armor, but Athena intervenes. Once convinced Saori IS Athena
rather than an imposter, Leo Aioria switches loyalties and pledges his
service to her. When he returns to Sanctuary with the injured Shaina, he
then goes to confront Ares and ends up fighting Virgo Shaka -- and then
is possessed by Ares. Aioria's personal power seems to be the creation
of a small ball of energy that he can throw at opponents, which he calls
his "Lightning Bolt" attack. (His name may actually be "AEolia",
which in Greek mythology is the island of the winds and home to AEolus,
chief god of the Winds.) |
