Sailormoon...what's that ???

What's Anime?

As you may or may not know, Sailor Moon falls under the classification of Anime or
"Japanimation", called so because it is a Japanese cartoon. It's usually easy to determine
whether or not a cartoon is an anime or not. The eyes are usually a big tip- off;
they're real big and doe-like in anime, but there are exceptions. Another thing to
discern between American cartoons and Japanese cartoons is where the detail lays.
In American cartoons, the most detail is in the characters themselves, and the backgrounds
are less detailed. In Japanese cartoons, the characters have some detail, but the majority
of it is in the backgrounds. Again, there are exceptions on both sides.
Anyway, so where would you go about finding Anime? One big place to look are in comic stores.
Comic stores often have video sections of Anime cartoons and some of the more popular American
cartoons. Another place is to check in record stores. Some often have video sections, and
you can find Anime here. Video rental places sometimes have sections devoted to Anime;
Anime comes in two different forms. You can get it dubbed in English or subtitled in English.
Once you do finally find someplace that offers Anime, where do you begin? With so many to
choose from, how can you be certain that you'll like it? It all really depends on your
personal preferences. Find out more about Other Animes !
