kousokudo no mashita no koen             To the park under the freeway,
mina ga neko made koishite               Everyone is falling in love with cats,
matte iru wa, nyaoo                      I am waiting, Nyao
dakedo                                   But,
atashi wa taihen na shimei de            I have a big task to do,
mikatsuki atama ga ippaii!               That keeps my cresent-moon head full!

occhokochoi na goshujinsama              But my clumsy, owner is,
oikakeru mainichi                        Making me chase her around.
rubiiro no hitomi ga                     My ruby colored eyes
kirari kirari                            Are twinkling, twinkling,
natsu no hizashi ja                      And the summer's sun is making
medatsu sugiru wa                        then standout so much,

watashi wa luna                          I am Luna,
oshama na kuro neko                      A very, very mature black cat
sumayakana ashi ga kimaru                My strut always make the scene
mina wa furimuku wa!                     And makes people turn back to look!

dakedo, atashi                           But, I,
dokokara kitanoka                        come from somewhere,
naosho yo oshienaii!                     That I'm not telling anyone!

tashikan daka noboreba                   Climbing up "Tashikan Daka" (a
                                           street in Juban),
gakkuen dori tenisu koto                 To the "Gakkuen-Dori" (another
                                           Juban street) tennis court,
mina ga neko made koishite               Everyone is falling in love with cats,
yonde iru wa, Luna!                      I am being called, Luna!
dakedo                                   But,
atashi wa daijina shimei de              I have a important task to do,
mikatsuki atama wa ippaii!               That keeps my cresent-moon head full!

yume miru oshiro no purinsesu            Dreaming of the castle princess,
sagashi dasu mainichi                    while looking for her everyday.
rubiiro no tsume ga                      My ruby coloered nails,
jiman nano                               Are my main showoff point,
namida wa nigate yo                      I'm weak against tears,
niawa nai wa                             since they don't look good on me.

watashi wa luna                          I am Luna,
eregantto na kuro neko                   A very elegant black cat,
machi o hashiri nukereba                 As I run through the city,
mina wa furimuku wa!                     And makes people turn back to look!

dakedo, atashi                           But, I'm,
doko e ikuno ka                          going somewhere,
dare mo shiranaii!                       And I'm not telling anyone!
