Saiyajin Anatomy

What makes the word Saiyajin a synonym of strenght and courage? What makes this race stand out from all the others? There are way too many myths and lies surrounding the Saiyajin concept, most of wich were created by pseuo.otakus that try to fill the holes in their self-esteem with nothing but bull that only confuses the common folk. Time has come for this to end.

Ok, so what's a Saiyajin?

The Saiyajin are a primitive humanoid race, witha monarquic society and a genetic tendency to war and violence that comes witha great strength. For a long time they shared they planet with a more evolved race, called the Tsufuru-jin. After a cruel war between the 2 races, the Saiyajin took over planet Plant, renaming it Planet Vegeta after their leader (since then, the king of the Saiyajin is always named Vegeta), and adopting the Tsufuru-jin's technology and culture.

Centuries passed and the Saiyajin built themselves a good reputation as planet conquerors and merchants, and ended up workin under space tyrant Freeza's orders, conquering planets for his empire. Freeza feared of the enormous power the Saiyajin possessed, so he destroyed their home planet with all of them in it. Only a few Saiyajin survived this genocide.

How can I recognize one?

The Saiyajin have a number of characteristics that make them quiete noticeable. First, pure Saiyajin have tails. The Saiyajin tail is a most remarkable body part, because it's the key to their awesome power. When the Saiyajin see the full moon, or at least a specific light wave frequency, a strange reaction tales place in their tails that drives them to a condition similar to licanthropy, just that instead of becoming werewolves, they become giant were-monkeys (Oozaru). There's only 2 ways of reverting the Oozaru stage.

One is taking the Siayajin away from teh source of the light waves. The DB Earth's moon has been dstroyed twice to stop a rempaging Oozaru. The first time was when Master Roshi blew it up at the Tenkaichi Budoukai to stop little Goku; the second one was when Piccolo destroyed the Moon (rebuilt by Kamisama) to stop Gohan. The other way is cutting of the Saiyajin's tail. Goku's father, Bardock, designed a very special technique that produces a small energy ball that collapses and explodes in the sky, producing a light wave frequency similar to that of teh full moon, wich enables teh Siayajin warrior to become Oozaru whenever he wants to. Currently, only Vegeta knows this technique, but only used it once.

Also, a pure Saiyajin has black hair, and his hair style is permanent from the day they are born. This is why Goku has never had a haircut, while Gohan kept getting an Uncle-Radditz-like hairdo every other minute. Finally, The Saiyajin have an apetite to be reckoned, because their transformations require a very accelerated metabolism and a very large amount of energy.
