The Snow Angel

In the snowfield I saw her
the heavenly figure, dancing with the snowflakes
Her smile, I could see clearly on the snow
Her laugh, I could hear clearly in the air
as beautiful memories fluttered around me once again
the beautiful memories of a dear friend.

I watched the snowflakes dance with a flower in my hand
A dried flower, like her, once filled with vivacity
now merely just a lifeless form of its former self
yet still showed signs of the charm it once possessed
For it was a gift from her, a gift I treasured
the gift of love from my dearest lost friend.

She was the snow of winter
the purity and the beauty, the peace and the light
Her soul, lovely and divine, brightened my darkest times
like snow lighting up the gloomy scenes of winter
Her gentle spirit easily touched the depths of my heart
as easily as making a snow angel on the ground.

Tragically, her life was also as fragile as snow
destined to be short-lived, her life was cruelly cut
melted away by the evilness of the sun
She knew of this fate, yet was never afraid
never shed a tear, bravely stood against the devil
like snow never backing away from a violent storm.

She is gone now, but she will always stay
in my life, as her spirit lives on in my mind
Everytime the snow falls from the heavenly sky
I will remember her, the Snow Angel
who has left an everlasting mark
in the vast white snowfield of my heart.
