- Pick one career area (e.g.: business, education, engineering, health
care, sales, etc.). (15 Points)
- Pick three (3) specific jobs within the career area you chose For each job, list the:
- job description . (5 points x 3 job descriptions = 15 points)
- starting salary/hourly wage (5 points x 3 salaries/wages = 15 points)
- minimum training/education necessary to perform the job.
(5 points x 3 trainings/educations = 15 points)
List this information in Outline Form only. Any format other than
outline form will result in earning less than the maximum number of
points for this section.
- Interview:
Interview at least one person who is currently employed in one of the jobs you reported on in Section II. This section of the Career Search must be done in Question and Answer Format.
(An example of Q. & A. Format is:
Q: What do you like best about your job?
A: I like that I can sneak in a quick nap when the boss goes out to lunch.)
[( 5 points for each question + 5 points for each answer) x 6 = 60
points]
- Sources/Bibliography:
List at least three (3) sources from which you gathered your information.
- One source is the person you interviewed. (20 points)
- At least one of your sources must be published (i.e., a book,
magazine or pamphlet). For any published source you must include the title of the book/magazine/pamphlet, the author (if available), the date of publication and the page numbers on which you found your information.
- One of your sources should be the Internet (World Wide Web) Make sure you list the web address and title of the web page(s) from which you found your information.
