This is the Spanish name for "Knights of
the Zodiac" or better known as Saint Seyia
Saint Seyia is very well known throughout the world. It
originally started as a manga (Japanese comic book), and it tells the story of five kids
called Saints that must protect the reincarnation of the goddess Athena. The kids are
Athena's lower guard, The Bronze Saints Seyia,the Pegasus Saint, Shiryu, the Dragon Saint,
Ikki, the Phonix Saint, Hyoga, the Cygnus Saint and Shun, the Andromeda Saint. Athena has
a middle guard the Silver Saint, which are not very imprtant in the story. Her upper guard
are the Gold Saints. There are twelve, one for every sign of the Zodiac.
Saint Seiya is a story from Masami Kurumada. The story is about
warriors called saints. Every 250 year Athena, the goddess of wisdom, reincarnates in the
body of a young girl. The body this time is that of Saori Kido. Ares, the god of war,
disobeys the rules of reincarnation and tries to take over the body of a full grown man,
Saga, the gold Saint of Gemini. Because Saga has already a personality a battle of two
spirits over one body begins. After Arles succeeds (sort of) He tries to kill Saori with
the help of the gold Saint Capricorn Shura. The only gold saint ,Ayoros the Saint of
Sagittarius, that knows the truth gets killed by Shura. But before he dies he gives his
gold armor and Saori to Mitsumasa Kido. Now the greatest saga of all times begins.....
The story is divided into six parts.
The Battle for the Gold Armor of Sagittarius: Saori sends kids from his orphanages to train to get Bronze Saints Cloths and come back to fight for the Gold Armor. In here all the main characters are introduced and they become good friends (exempt for Ikki).
The Search for the Golden Armor: Ikki, the Bronze Saint of the Phoenix, has turned evil from bad experiences in his training camp and steals the Gold Armor. Saori sends her Bronze Saints to get the parts.
The Fight of the Silver Saints: While the Bronze Saints are Athena/Saori's lower guard, her meddle guard the Silver Saints are fooled by Ares and try to kill the Bronze Saints and Athena. They do not succeeds.
The Fight of the Golden Saints: After defeating the Silver Saints, Saint Seyia and the other minor Saints want to launch a full attack against Ares. Athena gets hit by the golden arrow of the last Silver Saint. Our heroes have twelve hours to pass through the 12 Sanctuaries and defeat the most powerful Saints yet, The Golden Saints.
The Fight in Asguard: Hilda, the good witch who keeps the poles from melting, has turned bad because of an evil ring. Our heroes have to fight the God Warriors and destroy the ring before the world is destroyed by massive floods, Athena dies (she was trying to keep the poles from melting).
The Fight in Poseidon's Kingdom: Saint Seyia and the other Bronze Saints have to destroy the 7 Pillars in each of the Seven Seas and the destroy the Main Pillar to save the kidnapped Athena. In the process they have to fight Poseidon's equivalent of Athena's Gold Saints, the Marine Shoguns.
At the end of the last chapter we see Hyoga, Seyia and Shiryu wearing the gold armors of Aquarius, Sagittarius, and Libra.

This Saint is Pegasus Seyia. He is, of course, the title character and the leader of the group. He wears the Gold Armor of Sagittarius at the end of all of the movies and twice during the 114 episode series. |
This is Cygnus Hyoga. He is a splendid warrior, but he is sometimes hit hard because he his enemy somehow gets him thinking about his dead mother. He wears the Gold Armor of Aquarius at the end of the series and at the end of the third movie. |

Phonix Ikki is the most powerful Bronze Saint. He started bad because of the terrible things he had to endure when he trained. After a while he became good again. He is always saving his brother Shun's butt. |
Andromeda Shun is my least favorite character (Come on this guy wears an armor which is based on the girl Andromeda) . He is Ikki's brother and he is very affectionate to him and doesn't really want to fight all time any of his opponents. |

Dragon Shiryu is my personal favorite Saint. He is very wise and soft-spoken, and he is also very powerful. I think he is also the Saint that suffers the most during the series. He wears the Golden Armor of Libra at the end of the series |
