Heroes

Heroes are made of the things we remember in our lives, like adventure, goodness, strength thoughout all obstacles, and finally a hope. Some "heroes" do not match any of these things, yet are deemed heroes by those who respect them.
What needs to remain forever the same is the concept of what a real hero is meant to be. Adventure without a doubt breeds a remarkable person. Let us not forget that an adventure need not be saving the world, or even blowing up the bad guys. It can be as simple as feeding a hungry child on Christmas.
Goodness like its counterpart can mean many things. It can be a taste or a sight. It can be morals or murder. In our country some people battle abortion. In China it is considered all right to kill female newborns. Is it wrong because you believe it, or because they do? Goodness is wrong or right.
Is the strength in heroes the strength of Hercules or Samson? Or is it the inner strength that a person shows by standing up for what they believe? Strength is not always muscles or power, but often heart and soul.
The hope lies in the belief that true heroes will always save us from the struggles we face. Heroes are made of the things we remember like adventure, goodness, strength though all obstacles, and finally a hope. A hope that heroes will always be with us through the thick and the thin, to save us from the threat of despair.

"For a hero is never measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart."
