Tonight, Rukawa taught me how to fly. I was disappointed that Haruko was not there to witness my quick learning abilities but neither did I want her to see me fail miserably on my first tries. Rukawa told me to concentrate as we stood there in the lawn, our silhoutted form lighted minimally by the lights from the house but it was enough for our eyes are sharper than normal beings. I closed my eyes trying to get the feel of flying, as Rukawa has hinted to 'feel being as light as the air'. The feeling of lightedness in my body did come gradually but halted when I opened my eyes and I fell down onto the ground, butt and ego bruised. Rukawa rolled his eyes and called me a fool. I was angry of course! Couldn't he be more imaginative than 'do'aho'? After I picked myself off from the ground, he walked and stood behind me. I was puzzled and wanted to turn to look at him but his arms suddenly held me tight by the waist before he told me to close my eyes again. The way his husky voice rasped into my ear made me comply to his request.
"Now feel the wind around us," he said, "feel it picking up the scent from soil, trees and grasses and mixing it up in the air. Can you smell it?"
I nodded. His voice was so soothing.
"Be with the wind. Feel it hold you, touch you, caress you..."
I wasn't aware that my breath has quickened due to his words and his fingers running caressingly over my clothed chest until he whispered again making me gasp involuntarily.
"Feel it become one with you. Let it take you..."
I felt my feet leave the ground and the wind blowing against my clothes and my hair, but my excitement on the revelation was secondary to the feeling of the still moving hands of Rukawa's on my body. His voice anchored my subconcious and when he slowly slipped his arms away from me I panicked, afraid of falling, but his voice and presence behind me calmed my worries.
"Let it take you. But you must not lose control. Be the tensai that you claim yourself to be."
I opened my eyes and to my amazement I was more than twenty feet off of the ground. I burst out laughing, surprised at the success. Soon I was flying here and there and the fox was just watching me, looking smug as he perched on the top most flimsy-looking branch of a tree. I decided to wipe off what suspiciously looked like a smirk from his face by giving him the scare of his life - by flying towards the kitsune with lightning speed that he wasn't able react more than the widening of his blue eyes. I sent both of us hurtling in the air, brushing against the leaves of the nearby trees and he retaliated by trying to push me against the wind but I fought back. We were twirling in the air, each trying to get the upper hand and I was giggling like crazy while Rukawa cracked his cool facade by grinning at my boisterous mood.
I thought I was going to win the fight when he suddenly held me by my neck and gave me a searing kiss. My brain went blank and I was suddenly kissing him just as furiously, my passion mutliplied by the adrenaline flowing through my body brought on by our air-borne romp.
When Rukawa released me I was gasping for air and that was when I realised that we were on the balcony of my room overlooking the woods that passed as our backyard. I blinked, looking up at him with a little feeling of disorientation. Since when was he taller than me? I thought to myself. And that was when I realised that he was precariously sitting on the thin metal railing of the balcony, his arms locked around my neck and his legs wrapped around my hips. When he began pushing down his hard-on against mine, I groaned with desire. I dropped my head onto Rukawa's shoulder and tried to calm myself but he wouldn't let me for he started to nip at my neck, threatening to renew the wound on my neck made by him, which has healed a few days ago.
Continuous gyrating in his part and whispered obscenities from that velvety voice of his was enough to make me carry him to my room to do with him what my body desired. And his. It was more of his actually because even when I thought I was in control, in the end I was the one begging at him to stop torturing me with his merciless teasing.
Like before, it was intense. This time, however, we took another hungry step for release and we joined, our mind-blowing union knocking us out after our climax.
I woke up to see the amber hint of the sun peeking over the horizon through the open balcony door of my room just as I heard with my vampiric hearing, the front door of the house open and shut softly. It was Haruko.
She has been acting oddly this couple of days. Before, she would invite myself or Rukawa for outings in the city or to enjoy nature by traipsing in the country side or wade through the ocean waters at the beach a few kilometres away from home. Now she disappears without a word, only to return when dawn was approaching. I assumed that because she knew that Rukawa and I have a new standing in our relationship she was reluctant to trouble us with her person but I wanted her to know that she still has an important part in our lives. After putting on my clothes, I walked out of my room at the same moment when she was about to enter hers. I quickly stepped in front of her before she could run away from me without a word like last time. I needed to explain and so I did.
Her voice held a note of sadness as she told me, "He wanted you, Sakuragi-kun."
I was baffled, "Who?"
"Rukawa-kun, baka," she sighed lovingly as she caressed my cheek. I leaned into her touch and closed my eyes, inhaling her ever present cocoa butter scent.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"It's better if you ask him that. He might not show it but he loves you," she said.
When she pulled her hand away I nearly cried from the loss of her comforting touch. She stepped into her room and before she could close the door shut, I heard my voice coming out plaintive and nearly anguished. "But I love you!"
There. I had said it. I waited for her reaction and it wasn't what I have expected. She smiled and said quietly, "I know."
And that was that. I was still staring at her closed door when I realised that I needed to get Rukawa into his room before I could allow myself to rest after this strenuous night. Haruko and Rukawa owe me a few explanations; Haruko on her disappearance every night and Rukawa on the ambiguity of his motives concerning Haruko and I. I'll hound them every night until eternity if I have to but for now I have to rest. As I have said it has been a strenuous night.
