Needing You
Part 10

Mitsui stared at the Sakuragi in trepidation as he took the seat that the redhead had offered to him. The helmet that Sakuragi had picked up to make way for Mitsui, the redhead placed it on the table beside Koshino whose eyes suddenly widened at the sight.

Eri was about to talk to begin the introduction when Koshino suddenly gasped, "A Boxer helmet!" and jumped from his seat to pick up the black-metallic head gear excitedly.

Sakuragi's smiled widened, "I also have one in silver."

"What bike do you ride?" Koshino asked, his eyes taking on an excited gleam, "Is it full-fairing?"

"V4 engine," the redhead answered proudly.

"Sugoi!" exclaimed the dark-haired man, "Is it outside? Let me see it!"

"Okay, let's go!" Sakuragi laughed pulling Koshino off his chair to follow him out of the restaurant.

Mitsui looked at the couple now outside, through the window, with a worried expression while Eri smiled smugly. Koshino was at that moment jumping with joy at the impressive-looking bike parked outside while the redhead looked on, pleased that the young man appreciated its features.

"Kakkoi!! It's got upside-down fork, steel-braided brake lines! Short-wheelbase chassis!" gasped Koshino as he moved from one end of the bike to another, "Even the cogwheel is modified!"

"Where's the chubby guy?" demanded Mitsui to a surprised looking Eri.

The young woman arched an eyebrow, "You don't think he's as good-looking?"

"Who is he?" Mitsui asked ignoring Eri's question, "Where did you meet him?"

"He's okay. I met him at Maki Sinichi's party last night," sighed the short-haired woman.

"Why did you bring a stranger in for Koshino?" Mitsui said throwing his hands around in exasperation.

"Will you stop worrying!" hissed Eri lowly, "Can't you see they make a good pair?"

"I'm not worrying," Mitsui pouted unconciously, when suddenly he heard the engine of a motorbike revving up making him look back outside to see Sakuragi driving away on his red bike with Koshino sitting behind him.

Mitsui did not realise that he was clutching at the table-sheet with his fist when a waiter appeared to offer them the menus. The scarred-face man accepted it, pretending to check the list while he mumbled, "Gone.... when will they be back?"

Eri glared at him in annoyance, "They'll be back. They won't leave without telling us."

As if he didn't hear, Mitsui kept grumbling under his breath, "Where did they go? Why did he..."

Before Eri could scold at him for being over-protective, Mitsui's attention was caught at the sight of Koshino wearing a silver boxer helmet striding back into the restaurant with a skip in his steps.

"What a rush!" Koshino told them breathlessly, plopping onto the chair carelessly before he jumped up again to say, "I'm going back to his place."

"N-Nani?" Mitsui stammered, but the young man was already out the door to hop behind Sakuragi again before they drove off into the night.

Mitsui was now clutching onto the menu, staring at the spot where the couple have been before they were gone from his view.

"Sir?" the waiter spoke up.

"What?" Mitsui snapped.

"What drink will you have?" Eri snapped back at him in defence for the poor waiter.

"Oolong tea," Mitsui said gruffly to which Eri rolled her eyes in exasperation. It was the first time out with Mitsui where the man refused an alcoholic drink in a place which served the best.

"Are you trying to upset him?"

"Nani?" Koshino cried, before he pointed to the front in excitement, "Go pass the car! C'mon pass it!"

"Seems to me that you like him!" Sakuragi hollered to get the words through the wind whipping at them and the helmet covering their faces.

"Like him?! Don't be silly! Switch the gear!" Koshino ordered.

"Is it because he set you up on a date?" Sakuragi pressed on.

"Yeah!" Koshino answered, "That baka!"

"So you're pissed off because of that?"

"Forget about him!" Koshino told the redhead, "Go faster!"

"Okay!" Sakuragi grinned from behind his helmet, "Hold on tight!"

In a few seconds the two were nearly flying through the street, Koshino whooping from his seat in pure delight.

Mitsui and Eri walked to the silver car parked a block away from the restaurant and entered as soon as Mitsui shut off the alarm and unlocked it.

As Eri was pulling on her seat-belt, she said, "Joe went to Taiwan. Can I stay at your place tonight?"

"Sure," Mitsui replied hollowly as he began to put on his own seat-belt. When he was all buckled up, Mitsui turned to the wheel feeling a bit lost before turned to Eri and asked, "So where are you going?"

Eri eyebrows lifted in surprise, "To your place! I asked and you said sure."

"Oh, okay," Mitsui shrugged listlessly.

The black gate to a large mansion opened to allow a red bike to speed through and stop inside a garage where more bikes sat parked under the white glare of the hallogen lamps.

As soon as Koshino stepped down from the bike, he pulled off his helmet to be able to see the other motorbikes more clearly.

"This is the American edition!" gaped Koshino jumping towards the nearest one.

"Yeah," the redhead beamed, taking off his own helmet as well, "I had it shipped here. It wasn't available in Japan."

"I can tell that you're a rich brat," Koshino grinned, caressing the smooth surface of blue and white bike.

"Well, the house belongs to my aunt," Sakuragi said as he peeled off his leather gloves to wave his perfectly manicured fingers to the big mansion which can be seen through the open garage door.

Koshino snorted, "Living off of people is the worst way to live, even if you're rich..... Wow! Piaggo pattern! I've never seen it for real before!"

"My aunt takes good care of me," the redhead told him as Koshino jumped onto the bike for a feel of it.

"So what?" Koshino said disdainfully, before turning to the redhead to gauge on his age, "You're still schooling, right? What are your plans after that? Your aunt can't take care of you forever."

"I'm quiting Harvard after 2 years," replied Sakuragi, running his fingers through his hair messed up by his helmet.

"Ch! Why'd you want to quit school so early, especially Harvard?" Koshino rolled his eyes, turning his attention back to the bike he was on. Suddenly, another one caught his attention, its body as red as the one he and Sakuragi was on a few minutes ago, and jumped off to run towards it.

"Hey! It looks like the Cupid Express bike from 'A Moment of Romance'!" Koshino gawked as his fingers began caressing it's smooth body. Not missing a beat, the young man said, "I can help you get a job after you finish school."

"I do web sites," the redhead said.

"Why risk yourself in that kind of bubble economy world?" Koshino scolded, turning back towards the younger man, "You won't make any money like that."

"'The Genius'. Have you heard of it?" Sakuragi asked, cocking his head to the side.

"I think so," Koshino shrugged carelessly, "But those web site are about the same."

Walking back to pick up the helmet he placed on top of the red bike Koshino went on, "A man must have a career, like Mitsui for example. He's really into his job and is very good at it."

Sakuragi took a moment to look at Koshino in curiosity and felt the beginnings of admiration, when the dark-haired man suggested with a wide smile, "Hey, let's go for another ride!"

"Sure," the redhead smiled back.

At Mitsui's apartment, Eri was busy trying to take off Mitsui's clothes as quickly as possible, craving for the intense and gentle loving from the young man that she missed so much. Mitsui only laid back on his bed like a puppet, allowing the young woman to take the lead. Suddenly, the door-bell rang and with a grumble, Eri jumped off the bed to scare away the nosy neighbour before she returned back to the bedroom to see Mitsui holding a phone in his hand.

"Who are you calling?" Eri blinked in surprise.

"I'm not calling anybody," Mitsui answered. If it weren't for the words, Eri would've believed him but since she didn't she reached forward to snatch the receiver away to hear, "Moshi moshi. This is Koshino Hiroaki. Sorry, I can't take your call right now. Leave your name and number and I'll get back to you as soon as possible."

"You said that you didn't like to him!" Eri accused, shaking the telephone receiver at him angrily.

"Of course I don't! I'm just worried that's all!" Mitsui stood up, his shirt gaping open from Eri's nimble fingers earlier on, "Motorbikes can be dangerous y'know!"

"Listen to yourself!" Eri yelled, stomping out of the room.

"Chotto! Koshino!" Mitsui pleaded, pulling onto Eri's arm.

The woman gave a frustrated scream and pushed the man away before she stormed out of the apartment after grabbing her jacket from the floor.

"Chotto! Koshino! Ko- K'SO!! K'SO! K'SO!" cursed Mitsui when he realised whose name he was calling. Striding back into his apartment, he began knocking his head onto the wall until he got dizzy and slumped onto the floor in defeat.
