Until You 5

Lita hastily took her pills that she had just gotten from the doctor. The pills, the doctor had explained, were to reduce the pain from the tumor. The truth was that the more she went to the hospital for medical treatment, the scarier she'd become of the disease. Sometimes, she couldnft accept the fact that she had a tumor planted in her brain and she couldnft believe that she hadnft told her friends yet.

After swallowing the pills, Lita began to feel the effect and she lay down on the sofa, trying to be comfortable. Not that she didnft want to but she couldnft to watch her friends pitied at her, treating her differently. Now when she thought of it, she realized every time she told herself a reason why she was being a secretive, the reason was always her friendsf reaction. It was as if she didnft trust her friends.

But when she reasoned herself that her friends would be pitiful when she told them that she was a lifetime slave, her friends had proved her wrong. They were never being pitiful at her; in fact they were treating her just like before. Now, she began to wonder whether to be silent anymore. She didnft want to face this deadly illness alone. She wanted her friendsf support and she knew she would never get it if she didnft tell them.

Tomorrow, she will tell her friends about her illness. No matter what the reactions they might appear to be, angry or worse furious at her, she would accept it. Finally, Lita let out a sigh, after making a decision. All those thoughts had made her exhausted but it had certainly made her burden lighter.

Nephrite carefully parked his car into the parking lot. Despite of the attacking yesterday, he felt radiantly contented and happy. The fact that he was going to meet his Lita in few minutes, made his happiness was boundless. Curving up a polite smile at the receptionist, he pressed the elevatorfs button. He securely held the box that was hidden inside of his jacket.

Nephrite knocked the door softly and a minute later the door was opened. The figure that greeted him made him smile and at the same time made him wondering what would it be like to spent the rest of his life with this woman, who managed to make him smile just because she had opened the door for him.

gHey,h Lita smiled at him. Everyday, Nephrite had looker more dashing and attractive. If her friends told her that she was in love with him, she would say no. She wasnft in love with him, she was still falling in love with him. No one could make her heart beat fast as if it was the first time they had meet. Breaking herself from the spell that Nephrite had made, Lita let him in.

gWhat were you doing?h He pleasantly began their conversation. Lita, was hanging his coat, looked back. gI was resting.h

gYou sure rest a lot these days,h he remarked, trying to sound light to conceal his concern.

Lita sank herself beside him. gI donft know, but I guess I feel a little bit tired today.h

gReally?h Nephrite didnft put much attention in his words as he pulled her closer. Lita looked up to meet his gaze. gYes, you canft even imagine how many agreement paper I have to type, or how many files I have to arrange,h Lita complained.

gUh huh,h he continued to pretend listening, but his lips were millimeters away from her lips, trying to kiss her. Lita continued talking but her voice had turned husky for his nearness. gAnd Uncle Bob was being so irrational these days. I meanch

gLita,h Nephrite interrupted.

gYes?h

gDo be quiet.h He ordered softly.

gWhy?h Lita whispered and the feel of his hand running through her hair made her heart pounding uncontrollably.

gI want to kiss you,h he said simply. Before Lita could response, his lips were already touching hers, coaxing her gently but persistently. She didnft withdraw when Nephrite urged her lips to open, or when he began to taste her. She didnft want to. She had never dreamt of it. She had resist him for so long; during their first encounter and when they were alone on an island and she would never ever going to resist him again.

gIfve something for you,h he said when finally he lifted his lips while his hand started to search for the box.

gReally?h Lita asked in anticipation. gI hope it wasnft airplane or ship because I donft really have the space,h she teased him.

Nephrite glanced back at her, smiling at her humor. gShould I buy a house, instead?h he teased back.

gI want a bungalow,h Lita announced jokingly.

gSomeday.h

Litafs eyes widened at his word and quickly waved her hands in dismiss. gI was joking! Donft take it seriously.h

gI, too, was joking. Therefs no way, Ifm gonna let you live in a bungalow while I get cramp with my other roommate in that apartment,h Nephrite joked.

gWell, in case you donft know, you live in a penthouse,h Lita corrected him.

Nephrite finally found the box and he sat in front of her. gLetfs see if I got this thing as valuable as that bungalow.h Lita raised her hand and touched his cheeks lovingly as she looked up to meet his eyes. gAnything you give is priceless, even it is the cheapest thing in the world.h

He captured her with his eyes and his eyes never left hers as he opened the box. gWill this do?h

Lita looked down and she gasped audibly at the sight of the emerald pendant that was shinning exclusively for her. The gems cut was so familiar that when she remembered it, the fresh tears formed in her eyes. Touching the jewel appreciatively, Lita looked up.

gItfs the pendant that you gave me before you go to wars on Earth,h her voice was husky with tenderness.

gYes,h Nephrite took out the pendant from the black velvety box. gI was afraid you might not remember it,h he said as he fastened the necklace.

gHow could I forget?h Lita voiced feelingly. gIt was the only thing that youfve ever gave me.h

gYes, and this time, it wonft be the last anymore,h he promised.

gYou promised,h Lita said, touching the exquisite gem. gAnd Ifm going to make you keep giving me presents until I got that bungalow!h

gTeaser!h Nephrite playfully tickled her waist and their laughter echoed through the evening.

* * * * * *

gUgh, that man!h He throw the crystal ball to wall and watched it shattered into million pieces with hatred. His yell in frustrated echoed through the empty building as if it was agreeing with him.

He had planned this evil scheme for a long time and he knew it was perfect. But whenever he watched General Nephrite laughed happily, he began to compare his life with that scumfs life. It had been so unfair and so unjust that he sometimes wanted to kill him with his bare hand instead hid until the time was right.

Slowly, he calmed himself, not wanting his plan to be ruined just because his stupid jealousy of the scumfs life. After his plan success, it would be his turned to laugh while Nephrite would watch with jealousy and hatred just like he did right now.

Tokyo City was busy as usual but it wouldnft stop the reckless Jadeite to slow down. He deliberately past the red light and dangerously slipped between the cars. His passengers gripped on their seat, praying that they got to their destination safely.

gGod, Jade! Are you trying to get us all kill?!h Kunzite glared at the man beside him, who was enjoying himself tremendously. Jadeite just grinned.

gSome of us want to stay alive,h A grumpy voice front behind them muttered. His blue eyes glowered in displeasure.

gCool down, Zoey. Take Neph, for example. He didnft even complain,h Jadeite said good-naturedly.

gThatfs because Ifve been your passenger for my entire life and I know that complaining wonft slow you down,h Nephrite said dryly. Jadeite laughed. gThatfs my Nephrite, understands me very well.h

gWell, slow down anyway,h Zoisite grumbled as he crossed his arms.

At the same time Zoisite said that, Jadeite deliberately disobeyed his ordered as he dangerously fitted in the red Ferrari between two cars and speeded up to past through the red light. gYoufve been given brain but you refuse to use it,h Zoisite snapped.

gSo, our business in Kobe in our attention?h Kunzite glanced back at Nephrite.

gYeah, they called me early this morning and said that the workers there demanding something,h Nephrite explained.

gThey donft tell you what?h Kunzite raised his eyebrow.

gItfs 6.00 ofclock in the evening. How am I supposed to remember all that?h Nephrite defended himself.

An hour later, they arrived at Kobe but not yet quite arrived their destination and Jadeite stopped the car immediately that cause the three other guardians to lurched towards. gWhatfs wrong?h Kunzite asked angrily as he rubbed his forehead.

gWefve got company.h Jadeite warned as he narrowed his eyes at the monsters that began to surround the car.

As Nephrite counted the monsters around them, he frowned in worried. gThis is bad.h
