Evangelion:
By: §Fallen Angel§
This story is based on the popular anime series, Neon Genesis Evangelion. It takes place six thousand years after the third impact. Though most of it is based on fact from the series, a few parts are of my own views on the series or my religious beliefs. Any similarity in names, cities, etc is purely coincidental. For those who read this in its entirety, I would appreciate it if you would e-mail me at neongenesisevangelion@home.com with your questions, comments, or concerns. If enough requests for the next episode come to me, I will post it as fast as I can. Thank you and enjoy.
Warning!
If you have not seen The End of
Evangelion, this may be confusing to you.
I will try to explain the events in summary during the story. I’m sorry for this inconvenience. If you want to see the movie, please e-mail

version, fully translated. Thank you
once again.
“Mommy!
Mommy! Mommy! Can you drive me to school today?” Misharo, the cute, three-year-old daughter
of Kasana’s runs into the kitchen. With
a good night of sleep and the feeling of a new day, she has become very
hyper. She jumps into a kitchen chair
before Kasana responds.
Still disturbed from the night before, Kasana
hides it and says with a smile, “Oh, you silly! I always take you to daycare.”
Misharo says in slight surprise, “No Mommy! Not daycare! School, you take me to school everyday!”
“Alright, Mishi.
You ready to go?”
“Yup!”
“Let’s go then.”
****************************************************************************
A few minutes later, they’re both in the car,
driving towards the daycare. After a
long time of silence, Misharo speaks up, “Mommy?”
Kasana looks in her rear-view mirror and asks,
“Yes dear?”
Misharo, looking away from her mother’s eyes,
asks quietly, “Why were you crying in my room last night?”
In shock, Kasana says, “Mishi! You heard me?”
Misharo says, “Yeah and who wrote those nasty
things, Mommy?”
Just at this time, Kasana pulls the car up to the
daycare. Both get out of the car and
Kasana picks her daughter up in a hug.
In between hidden tears she says, “Oh Mishi… Don’t let that worry you a bit.
Mommy’s already fixed it. You’ll
be fine.”
In a small, yet, almost comforting voice, Misharo
says, “Thanks Mommy. I love you, but
the bell’s about to ring.”
Kasana kisses her head, puts her down, and says,
“I love you too. Be good. See you at five.” She watches Misharo walk off into the building. Then she gets back in the car a drives off.
****************************************************************************
Some time later Kasana arrives at the ORE
building. As she walks through the
parking garage, she is met by five men dressed in black suits and
sunglasses. When they block her way,
she says to them in an annoyed tone, “Would you all get out of my way?”
Then man in the middle says methodically, “Mr.
Yuna has asked that we personally escort all branch heads to the R.L.
Elevator.” Without waiting for her
response, two of the men take her arms and they lead her through some large
corridors and then to a large platform.
The platform seems completely surrounded by darkness, but when the door
closes behind them, lights fill the room and the platform begins to lower. After a few seconds, the platform stops and
then shoots forward, jerking all the occupants back. Kasana shouts out, “Where the hell are we going?!”
One of the men in black responds, “We’re going to
the ORE operations office. Now, please
be quiet and cooperative the rest of the time until we arrive at Mr. Yuna.”
After a short time, the platform stops and they
begin a long trek through laboratories, computer rooms, and empty test
chambers. They pass nothing of great
importance, but Kasana’s fears continue to heighten. Finally, one of the men says, “Go through this door. Mr. Yuna will be waiting.” With that, the group walks off, without
Kasana, in the direction they came.
As they leave, Kasana walks through the
door. She first marvels at the size of
the room and she begins to look at a large white mass on the left side, but she
sees Sinoto. With a short dash, she
arrives next to him with an angry glare on her face. As he begins to turn, she yells at him, “Sinoto, we need to
talk! Now!” When she finishes, Kasana notices those around him. These people include Surata, Hirotaki,
Ryshiro, and an unknown man.
Sinoto calmly responds, “Perhaps you should first
recheck your surroundings?” He the
gestures towards the white mass she had seen.
With a second glance, Kasana realizes that it is the head of an
Eva. It resembles Eva-01 in the face’s
appearance other than the mouth being sealed closed, white instead of purple,
and it’s eyes glow a dull red.
Kasana falls to her knees at this sight and can
only utter, “Oh God… What have they
done?” She stares blankly at the
menacing face for a few seconds.
When Sinoto’s patience runs out, he gives a few,
brief, orders, “Ryshiro, get Kasana on her feet and go to the test control
chamber. Hirotaki, get our pilot suited
up and ready for the test. When you’re
finished, come up to the chamber with us.
Surata lets go.” After saying
this, Sinoto and Surata leave through a far door. Hirotaki also leaves with the unknown man, but uses a different
door. Only Kasana and Ryshiro remain.
Ryshiro kneels down to Kasana again and says,
“Well, haven’t we done this before?” Kasana
only smiles in response. Ryshiro
continues, “Look, there’s nothing you can do know except keep them screwing up
anymore. Come on, let’s go.” They both get up and go through the door
Sinoto used.
****************************************************************************
In a few minutes, all of them have met again in
the test control chamber, all except the man Kasana now believes to be the
pilot. Sinoto sits in a chair higher
and farther back from where the rest of them.
The other four and assistants sit close to glass that separates them and
the new Evangelion. Machines that post
the read out of the Eva and pilot’s vitals surround them. Sinoto says one word and a great commotion
commences, “Begin…”
All of the assistants begin to give an O.K. sign
to Hirotaki. When she receives a clear
from them all, she speaks into a microphone, “Alright, Yokura. We’re going to begin. All you need to do is keep talking to us and
do as you’re told. Okay?”
A rough accented voice responds, “Yes ma’am.”
Hirotaki says to an assistant, “Start her
up.” After a few moments, the Eva’s
eyes light up bright red. Hirotaki then
says into the microphone, “All we want you to do is to raise the Eva’s right
arm. Keep us informed as to what’s
happening.”
After a few tense seconds, the right arm rises,
but continues until it holds the Eva’s head like it was in pain. From the speakers comes the stressed voice
of the pilot, “It’s impossible… It
feels like… Like it’s tearing my
mind… Apart. I can feel its anger… It’s… It’s eating my mind---”
One of the assistants shouts, “His brain patterns
are off the chart!” Right after the
assistant says this, Yokura screams through the microphone. After a minute of screaming, the Eva slumps
its shoulders limp and the pilot becomes silent. The same assistant says in a shaky voice, “There’s no brain
activity…”
All are silent before Hirotaki yells, “Come on
people! Half of you get the pilot out
and help him! The other half come with
me and lets figure out what went wrong!”
In a few moments, only four remain to contemplate
the events seen. Kasana finally speaks
up and says, “They’re going to tell you that a teenager is needed to pilot,
Sinoto.”
Slightly surprised, Sinoto asks, “Why do you say
that, Mrs. Tiro?”
She responds, “Only teenagers at the age of
fourteen were able to pilot the original Eva.
You should read your bible more often…
Oh, wait! That doesn’t matter to
you, does it?”
Sinoto says, “Oh, I know plenty well about the
age limit. I simply wanted to see what
would happen. We already have a young
man that would be more than happy to help.
Which reminds me, would you please pick him up for us?”
****************************************************************************
Kasana pulls up to the front of Eden’s high
security prison. She gets out and looks
around. The area around the prison is
flat and barren so that any escapees can be easily shot and detained. She slowly enters the building solemnly and
goes through all the security checks.
Another woman, somewhat heavy and rough looking, takes her through some
of the advance security zones to death row.
When they reach the visitor area, Kasana asks the
guard in surprise, “This kid’s only fourteen and he’s on death row?!”
The guard only says, “You can ask him. You’ve got only twenty minutes, though, you
probably won’t want to use it.” Kasana
only nods as the guard lets her in.
Kasana walks into the windowless room. There’s only a door, table, and two chairs
in it and in one seat is the possible pilot.
He looks about three years older than he is with spiked brown hair, a
five o’clock shadow, and a height of five eleven. As he sits there, he glares at Kasana with a chiseled look. She sits and there’s a moment of silence
before she says, “Good afternoon. I’m
Kasana Tiro. I’m here from ORE to see
if you are interested in a special project that will not only get you off death
row, but will allow you to help your city, country, and world.”
The young man coldly says, “Well, Miss
Kasana… The idea of getting away from
the green mile is pretty nice.
‘Specially since I’m on it for a crime I didn’t commit.”
Kasana says in wonder, “What were you accused
of… Uh… I don’t think I got your name.”
He responds, “Shouldn’t you know it? You came here to me.”
Kasana says, “ORE told all the guards I was
coming. I never needed your name.”
The teenager smiles and says, “Well then Miss
Kasana… The name’s Lee Tiachi. I’m here on false charges of treason.”
In surprise, Kasana asks, “What do you mean?!”
Lee calmly says, “That’s not why you’re here,
right? Tell me what I have to do.”
Kasana replies, “I can’t give you the specifics
here, but I can tell you that you’ll be a pilot of a different sort.”
Lee pauses for a moment then says, “Good
enough. Get me the Hell outta here.”
Kasana nods and they both rise.
****************************************************************************
A few minutes later, the two are in the car
driving towards the ORE building.
Kasana begins to explain, “Look, Lee, you’re going to be a pilot of the
first new Evangelion.”
Lee says in confusion, “I thought they were back
in the days of Neon Genesis?”
Kasana asks, “You read the bible?”
Lee answers, “Of coarse! Look, just because I spent the last three
years in prison waiting for death, doesn’t mean I’m not a religious
person. Anyways, I was set up.”
Kasana inquires, “Who did it?”
Lee responds, “I don’t know… Some freak from this company called
NG2. Guess I was at the wrong place at
the wrong time.”
Kasana thinks out loud, “NG2? What could that stand for?”
Lee says, “I remember him saying something like,
‘God in Heaven, all is right.’ That was
right before he blew the city’s main generator. Police thought I was a spy from Kaitinia. Now look at me! I’m going to pilot something that could kill us all!”
Kasana then explains to him what his missions
will consist of. She tells him of
Asuka, Shinji, and the possible other angels.
She then adds, “Most likely, you’re going to be a tool towards world
conquest.”
Lee pauses for a moment then asks, “You’re
against this whole thing, aren’t you?”
Kasana replies, “Completely.”
Lee then says, “Then why are you on the
project? Money? Benefits?”
Kasana answers solemnly, “It’s against my
will. The head director will take
everything I have away if I quit.”
Lee waits again then says, “Well, guess we’re
both in this for the long run.”
Kasana answers, “Guess so…”
****************************************************************************
An hour later, Kasana, Ryshiro, and an assistant
to Ryshiro stand in front of the new Eva.
Kasana says, “The pilot might be a little rough around the edges, but
he’s got a good head on his shoulders.
He’ll do fine.”
Ryshiro comments, “You sound like you want
another failure. All that’ll do is get
another pilot in here to test it.
Sinoto’s got a huge list, eh Fyugi?”
Fyugi, Ryshiro’s assistant, young and
inexperienced, is a man twenty-one years old with blonde hair and green
eyes. He merely replies, “Yes, sir.”
Ryshiro, a little annoyed with their moodiness,
says, “Come on you two. Loosen up a
little. What’s done is done. Now we’ve gotta make the best of it.”
After this is said, Hirotaki and Lee walk
in. Lee is dressed in a black suit type
of clothing. A helmet, also black, has
the visor up so his face can be seen.
Hirotaki says, “It’s time you all get up to the test control
chamber. Fyugi, will you take Mr.
Tiachi to the enrty plug?”
Fyugi nods and begins to lead Lee out, but Kasana
quickly calls to him, “You be careful, alright?”
Lee says before he leaves, “Hey, to the public,
I’m already dead. Doesn’t matter if I
die here.”
Kasana goes to say something, but he walks out
before she can. She turns to the others
and says, “Well, lets get up there.”
****************************************************************************
Everyone is once again sitting in the control
chamber, including Sinoto and Surata.
The same process is repeated as last time. Sinoto gives the signal to begin, the assistants all give the
okay sign, and Hirotaki tells the pilot to raise the Eva’s left arm.
There is a brief pause before the Eva’s arm pulls
up so that it is level with its shoulder.
From the speakers Lee says, “Man, this is easy. A lot better than prison, I know that for
sure.” After saying this, the Eva
begins to stretch its self and flex its muscles.
Hirotaki says into the microphone, “That’s
enough, Lee. We’re shutting her
down. Come on up here when you’re out.”
After a minute or two of silence, everyone
breathes a sigh of relief. Everyone
other than Sinoto who says, “Mrs. Tiro, I have another favor for you.”
Kasana turns in the seat and asks, “Yes sir?”
Sinoto states, “I want you to give Lee food and
housing. Don’t worry, you’ll be paid
extra to accommodate for him.”
Kasana starts to says, “But sir---” when Lee
walks in.
He asks, “’M I interrupting somethin’?”
Sinoto tells him, “No Lee. I was just telling Kasana that you will be
staying with her.”
Lee looks at her, but she says nothing. Kasana says to Lee, “Yeah, you’re still stuck
with me.” She continues to talk to Lee,
but looks at Sinoto, “Lets go, before I get asked to do anymore favors.”
