Slayers is my favorite anime of all-time (at least for now). I just got hooked on it literally a week and a half ago, and in all that time I've gone through the first and second seasons and will shortly order the third through a fansubber. It is seriously the funniest anime I have ever seen, and challenges a lot of our stereotypical ideas of heroes and heroines (basically it totally makes fun of them). In this section, I'll hope to include an episode summary for each season at some point, but for now all I've got time to do is a brief synopsis.

The story revolves around Lina Inverse, a fifteen-year-old sorceress who attacks bandits and robs their treasure. Unlike Robin Hood, however, she doesn't give the treasure to the poor--she keeps it and then sells it for a shitload of money. Lina is pretty greedy, and that tends to be her downfall at times, along with her passion for food. Anyways, the first season starts with Lina robbing a bunch of bandits and making off with their treasure. They catch up to her and threaten her, and before she can blast them to smithereens with a Fireball, a talented swordsman named Gourry appears and saves her. However, Gourry is devastated to discover that the woman he rescued wasn't a well-endowed babe, but a small, undersized "kid." Gourry, not being the brightest, quickly recovers from the shock and insists on accompanying Lina as her protector. Thus begins the adventures both of them are to embark upon for the next three seasons.

I plan to put up a spoiler section once the links page is up, so hopefully I will get around to doing that within the next month or so.
