Chapter Four: What it means to be a girl II
It’s been a month later and Lilith has been adjusting to her new life quite nicely.
She has become accustomed to wearing skirts so Hermione and Ginny has been letting
her choose if she wanted to wear a skirt or pants on any day she wanted. After several
attempts on old rags, she finally figured out how to clean clothes without them
disappearing, so for the final test, she was dressed in her best clothes and tried the spell.
She succeeded and all three of them celebrated on her success.
So as a special treat on that success, Hermione and Ginny decided to let Lilith see
them in the underwear they told Lilith about when they went shopping a month ago. So
after they took their shower or bath, depending on what they wanted to do, got dressed in
their underwear and put a bathrobe over it and went to meet Lilith in the bed room.
When Lilith asked what they wanted, they told her they had a surprise for her. Lilith
wondered what it was when she saw Hermione and Ginny smile evilly. She became
nervous on what they were going to do, when suddenly the both of them dropped their
robes and stood in front of her in their underwear.
It took a moment but Lilith saw that the both of them were wearing a see-through
underwear set. It took but a moment for Lilith to realize that the underwear they were
wearing was the ones Ginny had talked about when they went shopping for her new
clothes. When she realized that and that Hermione and Ginny were almost standing
naked in front of her, the moment caught up with her and she fainted.
“She took her reward pretty well, I say.” Ginny said smiling.
“You could say that.” Hermione agreed smiling also. So the both of them walked
over to Lilith and helped her onto her bed. “I guess there is a little bit of ‘Harry’ still in
her.”
“Yeah.” Ginny said as she handed Hermione her robe and the both of them put
them back on.
“We should tone down our teasing of her a bit.” Hermione said after they made
sure Lilith was all right.
“But it’s so fun to tease her.” Ginny said as the both of them decided to get dress
for bed. “I wonder what she would have done if we were fully naked?”
“Probably would have fainted sooner or probably became a bubbling idiot.”
Hermione replied smiling at the idea which caused the both of them to start laughing out
loud.

After that incident, the three of them decided to get a jump on their studies for
school, so they were in the library going through random books. The incident in the
bedroom wasn’t mentioned again after Lilith came too. There was the initial teasing
when she woke up, but Lilith asked them to stop teasing her so much, which after a few
minutes, all three of them were laughing about it. So they were sitting in the library
going through the books while they studied random things. It was one of the study days
that they were studying for the History of Magic, when they came across some important
information. It was Hermione that found it and brought it to the attention of the other
two.
Ginny and Lilith read what Hermione found over her shoulder. What they read
surprised all three of them and it brought some hope to Lilith. What Hermione found
talked about the Veil at the Department of Mysteries that Sirius died in. They found out
that it had nothing to do with death at all, but rather it was a failed experiment to create a
portal into the realm of the dead, which connected directly to the Ethereal Plane.
So the three of them started looking into and researching about what would
happen if physical matter would enter the Ethereal Plane. What they discovered was
what gave Lilith hope, but it also gave her some dread. The books said that if living
things would enter the Veil, they would enter a kind of stasis that will allow them to live
for six months before the living beings would fade away and become part of the Plane.
Lilith did some quick calculations, with Hermione’s help, and found out that they still
had some time left. So when the three of them found all that they could about that topic,
they all glanced at each other.
“Do you know what this means?” Lilith asked with hope in her voice.
“That there is a chance that Sirius is still alive and we may have a chance to save
him.” Hermione replied to Lilith’s hope.
“So what are we going to do?” Ginny asked, picking up on the hope that Lilith
had.
“We need to tell Dumbledore about this. I bet he would know what to do next.”
Lilith said.
“Okay, let’s go.” Ginny said.
The three of them gathered all the books they needed and went to go find
Dumbledore. After a several minute search, they finally found him walking in the hall
towards his office. He smiled at them as they approached, and suddenly got a confused
look when he noticed them breathing hard and carrying several books.
“What can I help you three ladies with?” Dumbledore asked once he saw that
they had gotten their breath back enough.
“We got some information we think you should look at.” Lilith replied
“And what information would that be?” Dumbledore asked.
“We found some information concerning the Veil at the Department of Mystery.”
Lilith said.
“What did you find out?”
“That there may be a chance that we can save Sirius.”
“Really?” Dumbledore said and saw all three of the girls nodding eagerly.
“Come with me to my office so we can discuss this in a more comfortable area.”
The three of them followed Dumbledore to his office and he had them sit down in
front of his desk while he sat down on the other side.
“Now you say you found some information that may help to save Sirius?”
Dumbledore asked.
“We haven’t found a way to save him, but we found out what the Veil is and what
it was really suppose to have been used for.” Hermione answered for Lilith.
“Really, let me see what you have found.” Dumbledore said.
So the three of them showed Dumbledore all the books that they had found that
talked about the Veil. After several minutes of looking over the books, Dumbledore said
that they did a good job finding the information, but he was sorry that he had no idea how
to help Sirius at the moment. He noticed the depressed look Lilith got and decided to
help ease her pain. He told her that he will look into it and he will personally make sure
that if any information was found, they would be the first ones to know about it. They
thanked Dumbledore and were about to leave when Dumbledore stopped them.
When they turned around, Dumbledore said that he had got word that if they were
able to save Sirius from the Veil, then he will be a free man. When Lilith asked him what
he meant, Dumbledore replied that Sirius will be cleared of all charges that were on him
when he became freed from the Veil. Lilith was shocked when she heard that and had to
have Hermione and Ginny take her out of the room. Dumbledore smiled when he saw
that and knew everything was going to be fine. He then went and started writing a
message to a friend.

After the joyous news that Lilith had received, she continued on with her
studying, in both Academic and being a female. But during that time, Lilith came to find
out she was starting to get strange feelings whenever she was near Ginny. She realized
that the feelings had started when Hermione and Ginny did their ‘Fashion Show’, and
they slowly started growing ever since. She became worried about the feelings, but she
really didn’t want the other two to know about her problem.
So every time she was near Ginny, she found herself always looking at her.
When she caught herself checking Ginny out, she would shake her head to clear it, and
blushed hotly when Ginny would look at her or ask her a question. Unknown to Lilith
was that Hermione had noticed her actions, and she decided she would keep quiet about it
and see where it would head, but she would keep putting the both of them together as
much as she could. Silently she was hoping that the both of them would get together
since the both of them did look good together, even though they were both female.

It was nearing the end of August and school was going to be starting soon.
Hermione and Ginny were proud of Lilith’s learning ability to adjust to her new life, as
they decided to go shopping for their school supplies. So they asked Ginny’s mother if
she could escort them to London and Diagon Alley. When Mrs. Weasley showed up at
Hogwarts, the Professors explained who Lilith was, which surprised Mrs. Weasley when
she saw Lilith after it. When Lilith, Hermione, and Ginny told her what they had agreed
on, like not telling Ron who Lilith was, Mrs. Weasley wasn’t to happy with what they
were going to do, but she could see where they were coming from.
The first place Mrs. Weasley took them to was London to buy new clothes. This
time Hermione and Ginny made sure that Lilith had plenty in the way of outfits. This
time Hermione got surprised when Lilith handed a bag over to her and Lilith said it was
for her. Hermione looked inside the bag and noticed it was a complete set of clothes, it
was then that Lilith said it was to make up for the outfit she ruined. Hermione told her
that it wasn’t necessary to do, but she thanked her just the same. After all their clothes
shopping was done, they sent their clothes to Hogwarts and headed towards Diagon Alley
for the rest of their shopping.
When they were shopping for their school supplies and items needed for the up
coming school year, one of the places they stopped at was the broom store. Lilith was
looking around the shop and saw the newest of the Nimbus brooms, the Nimbostratus.
She eagerly went and bought it, which caused Hermione and Ginny to ask her why she
was getting a new broom. Lilith told them that her old broom is ‘Harry’s’ and everyone
knows what it looks like, so she decided to get a new one for her new life. They saw the
point in what she said, but Ginny asked what she was going to do with the Firebolt.
Lilith thought about it for a moment and then said she was going to give it to Ginny.
Ginny was shocked at that statement and asked why. Lilith said since she was getting a
new broom, she really didn’t need two and she thought that Ginny could use it more since
she is one of the Gryffindor Seekers. Ginny blushed and thanked Lilith for the gift.
After they were all done with their shopping, they headed back to Hogwarts.
While Hermione and Ginny were putting away the things that they bought, Lilith decided
to talk to Mrs. Weasley about her problem that seems to be increasing.
“Mrs. Weasley?” Lilith called out getting Mrs. Weasley’s attention.
“Yes dear, what is it?” Mrs. Weasley asked.
“I was wondering if I can talk privately to you about something.” Lilith replied
blushing in which Mrs. Weasley noticed.
“Of course dear, come with me.” Mrs. Weasley said and Lilith followed her to a
classroom. “What is it that seems to be troubling you now?”
“Well … I seem to be getting these strange feelings and I’m having trouble
understanding them. What should I do?” Lilith explained and Molly realized something.
“Oh you poor dear, I almost forgot you were a boy for almost sixteen years and
now you get thrown into being a sixteen year old girl. You’re trying to deal with the
changes in gender and the hormones that they bring. How much had Hermione and
Ginny talked to you about the changes girls go through?”
“Not much, I think they were both embarrassed to talk to me about it as I was to
hear about it.”
“Those girls should know better then let you be left in the dark.” Mrs. Weasley
said shaking her head and then proceeded to give Lilith the ‘Talk”.
After the ‘Talk’, Lilith was blushing beet red, but at least she now knew what to
expect of being a female, even though some of it really freaked her out. When the talk
came to her feelings, Lilith told Mrs. Weasley that she was getting feelings for a person,
but she didn’t know what to do about it since she was now a female and unsure about the
feeling she had for the person. Mrs. Weasley told her to trust what her heart is telling her
and to talk to the other person so both of them could work it out. Mrs. Weasley thought
she knew who Lilith was talking about and didn’t realize that Lilith was talking about
Ginny. When the talk was done, Mrs. Weasley went back home while promising not to
tell anyone about Lilith’s secret and Lilith joined Hermione and Ginny in putting away
their new stuff.
