Chapter Five
Bird Dog
It is now two weeks before the beginning of the school year and Lilith was feeling
comfortable being a female now. Hermione and Ginny felt that Lilith was ready for the
up coming school year and that Lilith would be able to play off that she’s been a girl all
her life, even though she would be considered a Tomboy.
During the days after Lilith had ‘The Talk’ with Mrs. Weasley, Lilith has been
keeping her feelings for Ginny to herself since she started feeling that Ginny may not be
comfortable being with another girl in a romantic way. So she secretly was keeping an
eye on Ginny whenever she had the chance.
One day, Professor McGonagall told Lilith that she should retake her O.W.L.’s so
they could figure out what courses she should take that year. So Lilith sat in a room that
the Professor said and waited for her test to be handed to her. Suddenly she got a surprise
when instead of the Professor walking in, Ginny entered the room and sat down next to
her.
“Ginny, what are you doing here?” Lilith asked confused.
“Well, when you left to take your O.W.L’s, I had made a comment to Herminoe
about wanting to take mine also and Professor McGonagall overheard and told me to
come here.” Ginny replied.
“Oh, well, good luck then Ginny.” Lilith said happily.
“Thanks Lilith, and good luck with you also.” Ginny replied.
At that time, Professor McGonagall entered the room and handed Lilith and
Ginny their test and told them to take their time in answering the questions. So they
smiled at each other and started working on their test. A couple of hours later, they
finished taking their test, Professor McGonagall came back in and collected the tests and
told them that after lunch to go to the Ministry for their results. Once the professor left
the room, Lilith turned to Ginny to find out how she thinks she did.
“It definitely wasn’t what I expected of it, but I think I did all right on it.” Ginny
replied when Lilith asked how she thinks she did.
“That’s good, mine seemed to be easier this time around, but I had a little trouble
with Astronomy.” Lilith said.
“I’m sure you did great Lilith.” Ginny said smiling, which caused Lilith’s heart to
flutter. “Well, we better go get Hermione from the library and go have some lunch.”
“Okay.” Lilith replied.
The both of them went to the library and found Hermione sitting at her usual spot
reading a book. Ginny and Lilith looked at each other and grinned because both knew
what the other one wanted to do. So the both of them silently made their way towards
Hermione and when they were arm lengths away, both of them yelled ‘Boo!’ and almost
fell down laughing when Hermione jumped and screamed in fright. She turned to face
the laughing duo and glared at them.
“That wasn’t funny you two.” Hermione said to the giggling pair.
“Heh, heh, you should have seen your face.” Ginny said still giggling.
“That look you had.” Lilith said laughing.
“Now that you two had your fun at my expense, I see that both of you have
finished taking your O.W.L.’s.” Hermione said.
“Yep, even though I was surprised that Ginny was taking them along with me.”
Lilith replied.
“You are surprised, I’m shocked that they allowed me to take them.” Ginny said
to Lilith.
“So, what do the two of you want?” Hermione asked.
“Well, we were told to go have lunch and go to the Ministry to pick up our results
after we were done eating.” Lilith said.
“So where do you want to have lunch?” Hermione asked.
“Well, since we have to go to the Ministry after we eat, I figured we should go to
London to eat.” Lilith said.
“Sounds good to me, how about you?” Ginny said and then faced Hermione.
“Sure, let me put these books away and then we can head over.” Hermione
replied.
“Okay.” Lilith and Ginny said at the same time and then giggled at what they had
done.
So the both of them went over and helped Hermione place the books she had out
back where they belonged. Once that was done, they went to their room, gathered their
purses and left for London to eat Lunch.

While they were eating their Lunch, Hermione brought up the subject of Lilith’s
relatives. Lilith started to frown knowing that she really hadn’t been thinking about them
since she found out about her true self. Hermione started debating with Lilith about some
points about going to see them, like letting them know about her and what really
happened with Harry. Lilith was going to decline any offer that Hermione was offering
when Ginny pointed out to Lilith that they could go there asking about Harry and if she
still doesn’t feel comfortable they could leave. Lilith relented and said they could go visit
after they were finished eating. With that matter finished, they started talking about other
topic’s while they continued eating.
When they finished eating, they made their way to Little Whinning and then to
the Dursley’s. When they got to the house, Lilith started feeling a little nervous about
facing her relatives, but calmed down when Ginny placed a reassuring hand on her
shoulder and Lilith saw that Ginny was smiling at her.
