Chapter Eight
*******
“Nooo!” Saturn shouted as she fired off a chi blast.
The chi blast struck the component that the aliens were
carrying before they were able to enter the portal. When all
of the aliens escaped through the portal, and the portal closed,
that was when Saturn’s eyes rolled back and she collapsed
unconscious. The other Senshi was alarmed when Saturn fell
down to the ground unconscious. Chibi-Moon went up to Saturn
and touched her, reenergizing Saturn. It was about that time
that Ranma and Ryoga approached them.
“What was that?” Sailor Moon asked a little worried.
“A Chi blast.” Chibi-Moon replied when she realized what
Sailor Moon was asking about.
“How did she do that?” Haruka asked in surprised worry.
“She trained to do that.” Ranma replied.
“Isn’t that dangerous for her to do?” Michiru asked.
“No, since yesterday was the first time she pulled that
move off. She just needs to build her endurance up so she
doesn’t pass out after she does it again.” Ranma replied.
“How do you know that?” Chibi-Moon asked.
“What do you mean, ‘How do I know’, Chibi-Usa? I was
the one training the both of you.” Ranma replied.
“Um, ‘Aunt’ Ranma, you forgetting about something?”
Saturn said emphasizing the word aunt. Ranma remembered
that he was now in his female form and hears Ryoga chuckling
behind her.
“Shut up Ryoga.” Ranma grumbled.
“What’s going on here?” Makoto asked confused.
“I think we better continue this talk in a safer
location.” Setsuna said before anyone could answer Makoto.
It was then that everyone heard the sirens of the police and
of the ambulance.
So Rei told them to meet at her shrine since it was the
closest safe spot to talk. After they all agreed to go there,
they all left before the police and the ambulance arrived.
Ranma and Ryoga, not really knowing what to do, decided to
follow the girls. Once they arrived at the shrine, the girls
didn’t know how to handle the situation that had come up.
Saturn was the first to do something by changing back to her
civilian clothes and then went over to her two uncles.
“Ranma, what’s going on?” Ryoga whispered to Ranma.
“I don’t really know.” Ranma replied back to him as Hotaru
approached them.
“Hotaru, who are these people?” Sailor Moon asked, but she
had a good idea who they were she just wanted to know how Hotaru
knew them.
“Well, this one here is my other uncle, Ryoga.” Hotaru
replied smiling up at Ryoga who nervously smiled back. “And
the other one is my uncle Ranma, or I should say aunt at the
moment.”
“What do you mean? How can Ranko be Ranma? They are
different genders.” Makoto had asked.
“She’s telling the truth.” Michiru replied before anymore
confusion occurred. “If you get a cup of warm water, we’ll
explain.” Rei then went into the house part of the shrine
to get a cup of warm water.
“How did you know it was me?” Chibi-Moon asked Ranma.
“He can see through our disguise field for some reason.”
Hotaru said before Ranma to reply back to Chibi-Moon.
“What! How?” Most of everyone exclaimed.
“I don’t know.” Hotaru said sadly looking down at the
ground. “Ranma was facing off against his fiancées and when
they started threatening him, I transformed and was about to
save him when the fight stopped. After the fiancées left,
Uncle Ranma found me in my Senshi uniform. When he said it
was me, I was confused because the disguise field was supposed
to conceal my identity, but he saw right through it.”
When Ryoga heard from Hotaru that Ranma’s fiancées
threatened him, he was confused. He thought that Ranma started
it but it seemed that Ranma’s fiancées had started it. He didn’t
want to believe that, but he was hearing it from his niece. Ami
was about to ask a question when Rei returned with a cup of warm
water.
“Here.” Rei said as she handed the water to Ranma.
Ranma took the water and dumped it over his head,
changing back to his male form. All the Senshi gasped in
surprise when they saw that happen, except the ones that all
ready knew about it. Michiru and Haruka explained, with
Ranma’s help, about Jusenkyo. After the Senshi accepted the
fact about Jusenkyo, Ranma made a comment to Sailor Moon and
Chibi-Moon if they were going to stay dressed the way they
were. Sailor Moon and Chibi-Moon quickly changed back to their
normal attire.
Ryoga then asked again what was going on and mostly
everyone blushed in embarrassment when they realized that
Ryoga didn’t know everyone. So everyone introduced themselves
to Ryoga and when Setsuna introduced herself, Ranma had a look
to his face like he heard that name before but couldn’t
remember where.
While everyone was talking about what happened at the
festival, mainly on how Ranma and Ryoga survived the blast
that the aliens shot at them. While they were talking, Ami
had pulled out her computer and scanned the both of them.
When the results came to the screen, she became wide-eyed at
what she saw. She saw that Ranma and Ryoga both had massive
energy reserves internally. She started thinking that if
they had that much energy, would they be able to use it to
transform. But she knew the only ones that would be able to
answer that question were Luna and Artemis.
Speaking of Luna and Artemis, they finally made their
appearance and walked over to the group. Ami was about to get
Luna and Artemis’ attention when she heard a terrified scream.
She looked around and saw Ranma running out of the shrine like
Hell itself was after him. Everyone, except Ryoga and Setsuna,
had a confused look to their face. Hotaru was the first one to
regain her senses and told everyone she was going to find Ranma.
When Hotaru left, mostly everyone had one question on their mind.
“What just happened?”
* * * * *
Hotaru ran out of the shrine and followed the direction
she saw Ranma go to. After running several blocks, she had
finally caught up to Ranma. She had found him up against a
wall, facing it, while bashing his head against the wall. She
heard him muttering over and over again ‘Stupid, stupid, stupid’.
Hotaru took a look at the wall where Ranma was hitting his head
and noticed that there was an indentation there.
“Uncle Ranma?” Hotaru asked quietly. Ranma stopped what
he was doing and noticed Hotaru.
“Oh, hi short stuff.” Ranma replied.
“Are you all right?” Hotaru asked concerned.
“Yes, I’m all right now.”
“What happened? It looked like you were running from
your greatest nightmare.” Hotaru said and Ranma saw Hotaru’s
look and decided to tell her what happened.
“I ran because I’m deathly afraid of c-c-cats.” Ranma
replied.
“How’d that happen?”
“It was my father’s fault.”
“What did he do?”
“He tried teaching me a powerful martial arts technique
called the ‘Neko-ken’.”
“What’s that?”
“It’s a technique that is supposed to make the individual
invincible, but at a cost.”
“What’s the cost?”
“It makes the individual afraid of cats.”
“How?”
“The trainer is supposed to tie the trainee with fish
products and throw them into a pit of starved c-cats.”
“What!?”
“If the trainee hasn’t learned the technique, repeat as needed.”
Ranma said and Hotaru paled when the image came to her head.
“And your father did that to you?”
“Yeah, he kept throwing me in until my sanity snapped.”
“It did?”
“Yes, my father had kept throwing me into the pit until
my fear of those things peaked and …”
“And?”
“I started acting like a c-cat.”
“You did?”
“Yes. In order for me to go into the Neko-ken, my fear
of cats must peak, and then I start acting like a cat.”
“How do you stop acting like a cat?”
“There are a couple of ways. First, I have to take a
nap on someone I care for lap. Second, there can’t be any
threat around me, so I could naturally come out of it, or
third, I change genders usually snaps me out of it.”
“Oh. Why did your father do that to you?”
“He never had read the entire book about it to find out
that the technique was banned several hundred years ago.”
Ranma said and Hotaru looked surprised. “Well, I think we better
head back before the other’s wonder what’s keeping us.”
“Okay.” Hotaru replied and the both of them started
walking back together when Ranma made a comment.
“Hey short stuff.” Ranma asked.
“Yeah Uncle Ranma?” Hotaru replied.
“I noticed that you had run after me.” Ranma said.
“Yeah, I was worried about you so I ran all the way to
see if you were all right.” Hotaru replied.
“You know what I noticed about you when you found me?”
“What?”
“You weren’t breathing hard or looking tired.”
“You’re right!” Hotaru exclaimed after she thought
about it for a moment.
“Looks like your endurance training is working.” Ranma
said and smiled at her while they continued on their way.

Back at the shrine, just after Hotaru left to follow
Ranma, all the Senshi were thoroughly confused at what had
just happened. They just had Ranko say that she was really
Ranma, with Hotaru backing her up. Then being proved when Ranko
suddenly became Ranma with a cup of water. Then all of a sudden,
Ranma ran out screaming and Hotaru went of follow. When they
couldn’t think up of anything that had caused that reaction,
so they turned to the only one that would probably know what
was going on.
Ryoga had smiled when he saw Ranma run off in a panic.
He knew of only one thing that could scare Ranma that bad. So
he looked around and found two cats coming from the shrine.
His smile left him when he heard that his niece was going to
go after Ranma. The only thing that kept Ryoga from going
into a rage was he remembered that Ranma was also her uncle.
It was about at that time that Ryoga felt several eyes on him.
He looked around and saw all the girls staring at him.
“What?” Ryoga asked confused.
“What had just happened?” Usagi asked.
“It’s not my place to tell anyone.” Ryoga replied when
he realized what the girls wanted.
“Why?” Usagi asked.
“You’ll have to ask Ranma for that information.” Ryoga
said.
When the girls tried to get the information from Ryoga,
they found out that he was refusing to say anything else. So
Minako decided to try her way of getting the information. She
sexily walked up to Ryoga and looked up at him. Ryoga knew
that something was up when Minako walked up to him, looked
into his eyes, and then grabbed his arm. He tensed up as she
started running her finger up and down his body. But before
she could ask any questions, Ryoga’s eyes rolled back and he
fainted. Everyone, especially Minako, was surprised at his
reaction as he landed on the ground. They realized now they
had to wait until Hotaru and Ranma got back.
A couple of minutes later, Hotaru returned to where
the others were waiting. Once Hotaru got to where the others
were waiting, she had noticed that Ryoga was on the ground
and everyone had confused looks.
“Hotaru, what happened to Ranma?” Usagi asked.
“He’s waiting at the gate for the moment.” Hotaru said.
“Why did he run off like he did?” Michiru asked.
“Well, it turns out he has a very bad fear of cats.”
Hotaru replied.
“He does?” Several of the Senshi said.
“It’s because he had a bad experience to them when he was
young.” Hotaru said.
“What happened?” They asked.
“If you want to know, you’ll have to ask him. But if you
want him here, you’ll have to hide Luna and Artemis from uncle
Ranma’s sight.” Hotaru said.
“I’ll hide them.” Ami said surprising everyone. “I have
to ask them a question anyway.”
Ami went and picked the two cats up and went behind the
shrine, away from the group’s sight. While Ami was taking the
cats away, Hotaru was bringing up a nervous Ranma. When Ranma
reached the top of the stairs, he looked around and saw all the
girls looking at him, Ryoga passed out on the ground with one
of the girls kneeling over him; he could figure what happened
there, and no cats in sight. So he sighed in relief and that
caused the girls to start bombarding him with questions of
what had happened with him. So while Ranma was answering the
questions as best as he could, Hotaru went to check to see
what was wrong with Ryoga.

While Ranma was talking to the other girls, Ami had
taken Luna and Artemis away from them so she could have a
talk with them. Once they were far enough away, both Luna
and Artemis looked up at Ami questionablely.
“What is it you needed to talk to us about?” Luna
asked.
“When I scanned both Ranma and Ryoga, I found they
have massive energy reserves internally that is based on
Ki and Chi.” Ami replied.
“So what does that have to do with anything?” Luna asked.
“If we were able to build up our Ki and Chi, could we use
that energy for our Senshi powers?” Ami asked.
“It could work, but you would have a limited amount and
the most dangerous thing is it could produce unpredictable
results.” Artemis said.
“So it’s possible?” Ami asked.
“Yes, but using Ki or Chi is the most dangerous to use,
if you use too much of your energy, you could die.” Luna said.
“If we get Ranma or Ryoga to help us, will we have a
chance?” Ami asked.
“We don’t know, are any of you willing to take that
risk?” Luna asked.
“I’ll have to talk to the others.” Ami said when at
that time, they heard all the girls exclaim in surprise ‘What’.
So Ami ran over there to find out what happened and to talk to
the others.
* * * * *
“What!?” All the girls that didn’t know about the Neko-ken
exclaimed in shocked surprise when Ranma told them that Genma had
repeatedly threw him in the pit of cats. The girls just stood
there in silence as they stared in shock at Ranma.
Ami arrived at that time and saw most of everyone just
staring at Ranma. She cleared her throat to get their attention
and when they acknowledged her, she asked what was going on.
After getting most of them telling her the story at once, she
got the point of the story. She was very surprised at what
Ranma’s father did to him and understood how Ranma be afraid
of cats because of what happened. After she got over what
she had heard, she all the Senshi gather together to talk
about the item Ami wanted to bring up. So while the girls
were talking, Ranma went over to make sure Ryoga was awake.
“So Ami, what is it you need to tell us?” Usagi asked.
“After I scanned both Ranma and Ryoga, I found out
they have massive energy reserves.” Ami said.
“What has that got to do with anything?” Haruka
asked.
“I talked to Luna and Artemis and they said we could
use that same type of energy.” Ami said.
“But I hear a down side to that.” Makoto said.
“Besides having to build up our Ki and Chi, Luna and
Artemis said that if we use that type of energy, it could
cause unpredictable results.” Ami said.
“How unpredictable?” Usagi asked worried.
“I don’t know and neither do Luna and Artemis.” Ami
said.
“But we can use that energy to fight again?” Makoto
asked.
“Yes, but Luna and Artemis said if we try to use that
type of energy, we should get Ranma and Ryoga to help train
us.” Ami replied.
Some of the Senshi were a little put off having to ask
the two of them to train them in order to become Senshi again.
But it was Hotaru and Usagi that pointed out that they were
down to only three workable Senshi and Ranma and Ryoga all
ready knew who they really were.
“Uncle Ranma, Uncle Ryoga?” Hotaru called out timidly.
“Yeah, Short stuff.” Ranma replied looking at her.
“Yes Hotaru?” Ryoga replied looking also.
“Can we ask you two a favor?” Hotaru asked. Both Ranma
and Ryoga looked at each other in confusion.
“What do you need?” Ryoga asked. Hotaru then looked
over to Usagi.
“We need you two to train us.” Usagi replied.
“Train you?” Ranma asked.
“Yes. We need you to train all of us to fight those
aliens that defeated us.” Usagi replied.
“What aliens?” Ryoga asked confused.
“Those beings that attacked you two while you were fighting.”
Hotaru explained.
“Oh.” Ryoga said.
“Why are you girls fighting them?” Ranma asked.
“We took it upon ourselves to defend people against anyone
that threatens Love and Justice.” Usagi explained.
“Why do you need us to train you girls if you already know
how to fight?” Ranma asked.
“They took away our ability to fight against them, and there
are only three of us left to fight them.” Usagi said.
“Three?” Ryoga said.
“Usagi, Chibi-Usa, and myself.” Hotaru said.
“What, you fight them?” Ranma and Ryoga exclaimed in surprise.
“I fight along with my friends.” Hotaru said determined.
Ranma and Ryoga looked at each other and both of them knew
what they were going to do.
“If those aliens threaten our niece …” Ryoga started saying.
“We will be glad to train you girls. We don’t want those
aliens to harm Hotaru, if they do, they will answer to us.” Ranma
said flatly.
* * * * *
“What is the status of the machine?” Commander Geurig
asked a technician.
“The blast that the one Senshi fired, damaged the power unit,
sir.” The technician replied.
“How could that be? Our equipment is shielded from their
attacks.”
“What that Senshi fired was not one of their normal attacks.”
“Then what was it?”
“Unknown at the moment, but we are looking into it.”
“So how long before the machine is operational?”
“Within a week, sir. It was fortunate that we had a group
out acquiring the needed Plutonium.”
“Good. Inform me when we are able to attack again.”
“Yes sir.”
* * * * *
Nabiki had set up another meeting to find out any latest news.
Her board members gave her the latest in financial reports and other
similar topics of business. When the reports were finished, Nabiki
asked about the special projects she had her board members working on.
“So what do we have on Ranma?” Nabiki asked.
“The best we can do is locate him in the Juuban Ward. He
hasn’t really done anything there. We can only pinpoint him there
because of all the witnesses that saw him.”
“What else?” Nabiki asked.
“He seems to be onto us. He was able to get a good share
of his money before we moved it.”
“What’s the damage?”
“He was able to get about 60% of his money.”
“How well do we have in protecting the rest?”
“It’s safe at the moment, but the Accountant he has hired
is sniffing pretty hard for the rest.”
“Make sure that the Accountant can’t find it.”
“Yes Ma’am.”
“What do we have on that girl that was with Ranma?”
“We have found out her name is Hotaru Tomoe. Here is what
we were able to dig up on her so far.” Slide folder over.
“What is so special about her?”
“The word is that she is a freak.”
“A freak?”
“Apparently she did something that scared her classmates.
Because of that, her classmates thought she was a freak and started
calling her a freak and took to threatening her. She only has one
friend that anybody knows of, and that is one Usagi Tsukino, the
cousin of one Usagi Tsukino.”
“That would get confusing.”
“Yes, but they all call the younger one Chibi-Usa.”
“So what does this Hotaru person have to do with Ranma?”
“As far as we can tell, it’s puppy love.”
“Puppy love?”
“It was brought to our attention that Ranma had stopped a
group of boys from picking on her and she’s been with him since.”
“I can see that happening with Ranma. So what other news
do you have?”
“The only thing to bring up is that Ryoga has been located
in Juuban Ward fighting Ranma.”
“What else?”
“Well there was a monster attack at a Children’s Festival
that was being held there.”
“What of those so called Senshi? Didn’t they fight them?”
“According to witnesses, the Senshi were losing. It wasn’t
until Ranma and Ryoga started fighting them that the Senshi were
able to win. The witnesses said that the Senshi were unable to
stop the aliens from fleeing, but they were able to damage one
of their equipment.”
“I see. What do we have on these beings?” Murmurs were all that was heard. “Well?”
“There is nothing we can get on them. They just show up
and disappear when they are done.”
“The only other news we have is some reports from a
Radiation Storage Facility.”
“What reports?”
“That the beings matching the ones that attacked the
festival.”
“What did they take?”
“Plutonium.”
“Find out all you can on these beings and report back to
me.”
“Yes Ma’am.”
* * * * *
During the next week, Ranma and Ryoga had started training
the Senshi in Martial Arts. They had found out that the Aliens
haven’t been attacking as of late, so they took to learning as
much as they could. They had them practice where ever they could
find time and a quiet place to practice.
Ryoga had quickly learned what Nabiki had done when he was
mobbed by fans wanting autographs and pictures. It took a visit
to a toy store to prove to Ryoga that Ranma had nothing to do with
what was going on. So as the training went along for that week,
Ranma and Ryoga had informed them that they’ll be ready in about
six weeks if they kept going as they were.
In order for Luna and Artemis to be near the Senshi, the
Senshi had told them to show up in their human form. Luna and
Artemis was a little unsure about that, but the Senshi told them
in order for them to be near them when Ranma was around, they
either had to hide or be in their human form. Luna and Artemis
thought about it and finally agreed to change to their human
form. So the Senshi introduced Ryoga and Ranma to Luna and
Artemis, by saying they were very close friends to them. So
after introductions were made and some small talked happened,
Luna and Artemis found themselves joining in with the Senshi in
learning martial arts.
During a break one day, the topic of Hotaru was brought up
again. It was pointed out how much energy she has been having
lately. They asked Ranma what he was doing to help Hotaru with
her problem. Ranma explained that he was teaching her strength
and endurance techniques. He then started explaining about the
technique he and Ryoga knew about. When Ranma was done explaining,
Luna suddenly got very angry and let her anger be known.
“What do you think you are doing?” Luna exclaimed at Ranma.
“What do you mean?” Ranma asked confused.
“By using that technique, you are turning Hotaru into a
chi vampire.” Luna said angrily.
All the Senshi gasped when they heard that. Ranma and Luna
started arguing about that and other things. Finally Ranma got
fed up with arguing with Luna that he yelled what he thought
about the whole deal at Luna.
“Well, I don’t see you finding something to help her with,
and you’ve known her longer than I have. If you can do something
better, then go right ahead.” Ranma yelled and then stormed off
and left several confused and shocked girls.
* * * * *
“Sir, we got the power cell fixed and it is working in
perfect condition.” An Engineer said.
“So when can we start draining people again?” Commander
Geurig asked.
“As soon as we install the power cell, sir.”
“Good. When it is installed, here is where our next target
zone will be.” Geurig said and passed over a sheet of paper in
which the Engineer looked at it.
“A concert, sir?”
“Yes, it’s going to hold a lot of people, so it’s the best
place to catch up on the energy draining that we have slipped
behind on.”
“Yes, sir.”
* * * * *
The Senshi, with Ranma and Ryoga because Hotaru had asked
them to be there, were watching a Brittney Spears concert that
was being held in Juuban. When they got to the concert, Ranma
and Ryoga suddenly regretted being sucked into going to the
concert, when they found that the concert was mostly filled
with young teenagers. The only thing they were glad about,
it seemed the other people were more concerned with Brittney
Spears then them. So they sat in their assigned seats and
waited for the concert to begin. When the concert did begin,
Ranma and Ryoga groaned when they realized what type of music
it was.
They really didn’t want to be there, but the excitement
they saw in Hotaru kept them there, even if they didn’t like
the music. As they watched and listened, they couldn’t think
of anything that would make people want to be at the concert.
They tuned out the music and tried to figure out how they were
going to sleep when there was an explosion at the roof.
Everyone looked up and saw several of the aliens jump through
the hole that was now in the roof, and when they landed, they
blasted the people that were on the stage.
That caused the people to panic and started fleeing.
Ranma and Ryoga saw what was happening and jumped towards
the aliens. The Senshi were being pushed out of the place,
but Hotaru and Chibi-Usa broke free and found a place to
transform. As the two of them made their way back in, they
saw Ranma and Ryoga taking care of the aliens, so they decided
to check the people on the stage.
By the time that they had checked the people, after
finding them just unconscious but other wise all right, they
then went to go help Ranma and Ryoga. By the time they reached
where they were, they saw that Ranma and Ryoga where messed up
a bit, but they were still driving the aliens away. When they
reached them, the aliens decided that they better withdraw,
so they fled the scene.
After the aliens fled, Chibi-moon and Saturn realized
that they better leave before the police arrive. They told
Ranma and Ryoga that, so Ryoga picked Saturn up and Ranma
picked Chibi-Moon up and both jumped out of the hole in the
roof and roof hoped several roofs until they hoped down to
an empty alley for the girls to change back. After they had
changed back, they called the others to inform them where
they were and where they were headed. After they made that
call, they made their way back to Rei’s shrine, To wait for
the others to show up and discuss what had happened.

Back at the alien’s headquarters, Commander Geurig was
being informed of what happened in their latest attack.
After he got the story, he dismissed the others while he
thought of what he could do. After a while, he could only
think of is to find out more about the two people that are
interfering in their plans.
So he told his scientists to come up with a disguise
for him, with essential equipment, to pass as a human. Once
the Scientist got started, he told his troops no more attacks
until he gathered any information about the two boys. Once
the scientists were done, they dressed Commander Geurig into
his disguise and told him all he needed to know about his
equipment. Once the brief was over, he teleported to a dark
alley to make sure no one saw him.
As he was walking down the street for a while, he was
realizing he was having a difficult time trying to find any
information on the two boys. He was getting tired of walking,
so he decided to sit down for a moment. As he was taking a
breather, he was thinking about how he was going to find any
information on the two boys. He then heard a commotion off
to his left and saw a bunch of kids making noise as they were
leaving a building. As he looked at the building, hope rose
in him as he saw several pictures of the two boys in the windows.
So he made his way to that store and found what he was
looking for. He started going through what they had and thanks
to the scientists, had what was necessary to purchase what he
needed. After he gathered what he could, he went back to his
headquarters and studied what he had.
