与 影 灰 的 大 地 相 映 。
Echoes with the shadowy grays of the
Earth.
星 星 忽 然 降 临 。
Stars suddenly descend.
美 丽 的 面 孔 ，
Beautiful faces,
飘 逸 的 白 衣 。
Flowing white robes.
他 们 带 着 一 首 悲 伤 的 歌 ；
They bring with them a sad song;
以 怜 惘 的 眼 光 照 耀 着 城 市 。
Shine on the city with compassionate
eyes.
曲 子 婉 转 悲 哀 ，
The tune is touchingly sad,
令 人 痛 哭 流 泪 。
It makes people cry in pain.
是 恶 魔 ？ 还 是 天 使 ？
Are they demons? Or angels?
人 们 怨 恨 这 星 儿 ，
People hate these stars,
怨 恨 这 曲 子 。
Hate this melody.
只 因 星 儿 的 美 丽
Because the stars' beauty
让 他 们 想 起 了 自 己 的 丑 陋 ，
Reminds them of their own ugliness,
曲 子 的 哀 怨
The melody's sadness
描 述 着 他 们 的 罪 恶 。
Tells of their sins.
他 们 不 愿 痛 苦 地 流 泪 ，
They do not wish to cry in pain,
不 愿 想 起 给 别 人
Do not wish to remember
带 来 的 苦 楚 。
The pain they bring others.
罪 恶 感 使 他 们 更 恶 毒 ；
Consience makes them more sinful;
他 们 不 断 的 逃 避 。
They keep trying to escape.
他 们 认 为 自 己 是 对 的 ，
They think they are right,
事 实 他 们 只 是 蒙 了 眼 。
In truth they are just blindfolded.
他 们 以 为 消 灭 这 星 儿
They thought by making these stars
disappear
就 能 躲 过 罪 恶 ，
They can hide from the sins,
逃 过 对 自 己 的 判 断 。
Hide from self-judgement.
于 是 他 们 将 星 儿 的 白 衣 撕 烂
，
So they tear the white robes of the
stars,
将 星 儿 脸 庞 划 黑 ；
Draw the stars' faces black;
将 星 儿 至 入 地 狱 中 。
Throw the stars into hell.
星 儿 却 不 断 的 唱 着 歌 ；
The stars, despite everything, keep on
singing;
曲 子 越 来 越 悲 哀 ，
The melody is sadder and sadder,
越 来 越 缠 人 心 。
Tugs more and more at the heartstrings.
人 类 不 知 该 如 何 是 好 ？
Humans do not know what to do.
而 星 儿 的 歌 曲 更 是 悲 伤 ............
And the stars' song bears more
pain............
